Amazing views, brilliant staff and beautiful hotel
The staff are amazing!! From the car valet to the restaurant and everyone in between the service is faultless. Very very clean and comfortable hotel. Would highly recommend staying here.

A gem of a hotel - highly recommend!
This hotel is fantastic! We loved every minute of our stay at the Schwarzer Adler from the minute we drove up to the time we left. The hotel is charming, has every amenity you need, is located in a great location in Kitzbuhel, and the staff are very eager to make your stay memorable. Every request was met with a smile and a willingness to please that you see in 5 Star hotels. The Black Spa was spacious, new and very relaxing. The breakfast and dinner (we selected the half board) were fabulous. The hotel has class from the moment you walk in you know you've made a great choice. The rooftop bar and pool is the highest in the alps and has breathtaking views. We highly recommend this hotel and give it a 10+. It was our first visit to Kitzbuhel and LOVED this town and all there is to do in the summer.

High Expectations
We booked this hotel based on the rooftop pool, a luxury we love in other resorts—but it is not heated!!! And no apologies are made or effort to fix this—which was a let down for most guests we spoke to regarding hotel expectations. even the indoor pool was on the colder side (too cold for my wife!), which is a dissapointment after a long day of skiing! Wish we had known this before and would have booked elsewhere!

This used to be a state-of-the-art hotel. It now feels somewhat tired and the staff seem somewhat disinterested. The food although beautiful was planned with the exception of the puddings which were out of this world. The reception area is tired and you feel very much like you are in a waitin area. Personally I would rather spend the money somewhere else.

Great Hotel, Little to No Internet Access
Hotel was fantastic, great location, great vibe, excellent (free) breakfast. BUT for a hotel of this day and age to have no usable Internet access (speeds reminiscent of 2400bps dial-up days) is not acceptable in the 21st century. For this reason, I would probably not return. It's a basic requirement, like running water, that most hotels can provide.

Super hotel, walking distance to town centre
Very welcoming staff and the food is excellent. The weather during the week we were there was simply dreadful, so reliance on the hotel and it's facilities became paramount. The roof swimming pool and deck chairs were a boon when the sun popped out for the occasional half hour! Proximity to the town centre makes it ideally placed summer or winter (skiing).

Schöner Urlaub! Jedoch gab es ein paar enttäuschende Punkte. Wellness Indoor Bereich muss stellenweise renoviert werden. Kaputte Behandlungsgeräte -kein entgegenkommen. Rezeptionsmitarbeiterin eher unfreundlich. Hotel-Restaurant Neuwirt zu teuer für die Qualität. Wir mussten wirklich schmunzeln als wir gesehen haben, dass das kleine Brötchen mit Butter, welches bereits auf dem Tisch steht sogar berechnet wird...

Uitstekend relax hotel
Gezellig hotel met fantastisch zwembad op het dak met uitzicht op de bergen , en een goed binnenzwembad. Uitstekende kamer met zeer grote moderne badkamer. Ontbijt was goed, alleen de opstelling van het buffet was onhandig in een te smalle gang.

Schönes Hotel mitten in Kitzbühel.
Das Hotel schwarzer Adler ist ein sehr schönes Hotel mit Rooftop. Leider liegt es an einer verkehrsreichen Straße, daher sehr laut.

Hotel mit gutem Standort und sehr guter Küche
seit mehreren Jahren genieße ich das Ambiente dieses Hauses mit sehr schönem Pool auf dem Dach. Der Service ist hervorragend und den Tag kann man bei exzellenter Küche ausklingen lassen. Die Zimmer könnten dem Rest des Hauses angepasst und renoviert werden.

Perfekter Aufenthalt
Wir hatten einen wunderbaren zweitägigen Aufenthalt. Der Service war astrein und die Mitarbeiter alle sehr freundlich und bemüht, den Aufenthalt für einen so angenehm wie möglich zu gestalten. Direkt am Anfang hat uns eine positive Überraschung erwartet, da wir ein Upgrade in die Junior-Suite mit Balkon (mit Blick auf den wilden Kaiser) und eigener Sauna erhalten haben. Das Essen war wie bereits vielfach beschrieben sehr lecker und von hoher Qualität. Das Wellnessangebot war umfangreich (verschiedene Saunen mit unterschiedlichen Temperaturen, Dampfbad, Kneippbad, Whirlpool, Pools) und sehr angenehm. Besonderes Highlight natürlich der Pool auf dem Dach des Hotels mit toller Bergkulisse! Auch das Gym haben wir intensiv genutzt, hier findet man ein vernünftiges Standardangebot an Geräten & Zubehör.

Ausstattung der Zimmer
Die Zimmer sind wie in den achziger Jahren und wurden nie renoviert. Die Möbel alt das Bett mit einer so harten Matratze ausgestattet, dass man kaum drauf liegen kann. Das Badezimmmer mit einer Badewanne und in der Badewanne eine Dusche. Eine Waschbecken eine Toilette und ein BD. Alles mit grünen Fliesen. Wohlfülen kann man sich in den Zimmern nur wenn man auf alt oder Museum steht.

Die Standard-DZ sind nicht weiterzuempfehlen. Die Bäder sind hier sehr veraltet, erinnern an die 70er Jahre. Das Essen ist sehr gut, der Dachpool auch. Das Schwimmbad im Keller und die Saunen sind wenig ansprechend.
