Central island location 1.5 miles from Eastsound on the beautiful North Shore. Enjoy peek-a-boo water views, private community beach, dock, tennis court, large, sunny lot perfect for lawn games relax in the secluded, fenced herb and flower garden. Peaceful quiet neighborhood; two blocks to the beach. Easy drive to island attractions: village of Eastsound, Moran State Park, Obstruction Pass State Park, Turtleback Mountain Preserve and Orcas ferry landing.

Orcas Island Getaway
Our group of six (teen, YA, in-laws, husband and me) enjoyed our stay at the North Shore Retreat. It's centrally located for easy exploring of all parts of the island-- from Doe Bay and Obstruction Pass to Deer Harbor. We loved the garden setting. It was perfect for morning coffee and afternoon reading amid the fragrant flowers, buzzing bees and swooping hummingbirds. We really appreciated the well-stocked kitchen for making meals and the added touches, like the cooler, table cloth and plastic plates, available for taking picnics to-go. Our kids were able to spread out in the bonus room and have their own beds (that's a big plus for these kids). The property manager was very proactive and responsive with communication. We didn't have any issues, but he checked in through the app to make sure everything was going well.

Charming space with everything we needed!
I stayed here with my partner and my parents during a birthday trip. We loved how centrally located it is, which gave us a lot of flexibility for how we wanted to structure our day. The house is very comfortable and the garden is absolutely gorgeous. We appreciated the maps and recommendations provided. It was a wonderful time. Thank you for sharing your space with us!

Wonderful North Shore Stay
Our stay at the property was exactly as advertised. The location is quiet and generally secluded with the dock and it’s amenities just a short walk away. The view of the mountain and sunset at the dock are amazing. With Eastsound just a mile away, a walk or drive into town are both easy. It was also a great home base for exploring both sides of the island. We spent a couple afternoons just enjoying the weather on the front porch in the amazing garden. Although we really didn’t take advantage of it, the bonus room with ping pong and other fun activities would be great for a family. Finally, Larry is a great host and communication was easy as far as finding the location and checking in/out. I would recommend this property for anyone visiting Orcas.

Orcas Retreat
My wife and I wanted the perfect getaway for a three day trip. This absolutely hit the mark on what we were craving. Beautiful and quiet, the home was clean, and very functional for our cooking needs. Short walk to the best sunset you will ever see and into town, I highly recommend this spot for couples or family needing a relaxing vacation or weekend away!

Can’t wait to return!
We had the most wonderful time staying here. There was something for everyone - kids playing board games, ping pong table, amazing garden to read a book, have a cup of coffee or a cocktail later in the day. It’s close to Eastsound where there are a bunch of restaurants and shops. Larry went above and beyond to help us with a soccer ball. We had the best time and cannot wait to return next summer. 5/5 and can’t wait to return!

Property was beautiful. The info regarding the amenities needs to be updated. We were told on the paper sent to me that there was a hot tub. So I told me family to bring bathing suits and there was not a hot tub!! Other than that the home was very well stocked with kitchen supplies, sheets, towels etc. Loved the ping pong table.

This was a fantastic property in a secluded neighborhood but close to Eastsound. My youngest son really enjoyed the ping-pong table and just couldn’t get enough. Close to a beach as well. When we come back to Orcas we will look to stay here again.

Easy Relaxing Vacation in Orcas Island
The property is really easy to access, it is walkable to the beachfront (we drove instead because it was chilly) and clean and comfortable to hang out at. We had a lot of activities that we could do in the house as we did not realize that so many stores/restaurants were closed on Mondays. We ended up getting groceries and cooking instead. Word of advice for visiting Orcas Island - make sure you have your online reservations for the ferry AND arrive an hour early. Once they cap out on the ferry - they will not allow you onboard even if you have your reservation. We had a little child and it was terrible because we missed the cap by 6 cars and had to wait another 4 hours in the "standby" line. No one working was helpful either. It was really stressful. Hope others who stay here can have a great time (property was very quiet and relaxing).

The house was just as listed, plenty of space for the family to hang out in the bonus room and the kids loved the ping pong table. I feel like the house could use a deep cleaning but in general the place was pretty organized, surface clean and the linens were crisp and clean which is important to me as a guest. Would definitely recommend staying here with kids, very kid friendly.

We lucked out with a ton of snow on our way to Orcas and this home was the perfect cozy wintry escape for our family. The family room was such a hit with the kids who loved playing dominoes, ping pong, and watching movies. Will hopefully be back to experience this beauty in the summertime!

Excellent location, close to everything, while off the beaten track. The beds were very comfortable. And the kitchen satisfactory apart from a coffee maker that sadly didn't work. Lovely garage converted to large living space with ping pong and movie watching set up.

What a magical trip
Such a sweet house and exactly what we needed. I can’t possibly express how wonderful the San Juan Islands are, book your trip immediately! This house was in a perfect location for popping into the sweet downtown to get breakfast and shop. Also a short drive to the ferry, and to Moran for beautiful hikes and views. Lovely home, has everything you need!

Great stay on Orcas
We had a wonderful stay. The house is close to town yet far enough away to feel like you're away from the bustle during the high season. The beach is just a few blocks away, great tidepooling with a beautiful view of Sucia Island. The house is comfy, clean, and had everything we needed to feel comfortable, relax, make meals, etc., We'd love to stay again someday.

Perfect cottage for family island fun
Everything about this little house worked perfectly for us, and our family of 5 thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The garden was beautiful-with views through gorgeous trees of Mt. Constitution. We spent hours at the tide pools-and our kids even got in the water (brrr!). The location was perfect for us-we rented e-bikes from Orcas Bikes for our stay and rode them into town, to Bucks park for tennis and visiting the dogs in the dog park, and other spots on the island. Moran state park was extremely convenient-lots of swimming and fishing (and ice cream) at the lakes! Our stay was a little bit of heaven :)

Pretty House on Orcas Island
We had a great time at this property. The house was very nice with a beautiful garden. We ate dinner and breakfast outside, it was very relaxing. The home is on a very central location of the island. Communication was great with check-in and ferry instructions as well as recommendations for activities. We would definitely stay here again on our next visit to the island.

Tranquil getaway
What a lovely house and corner of Eastsound! Central location close to town and yet easy to get to the beach and attractions such as Moran state park. The garden and backyard were delightful. The hosts considered all our comforts and needs. Their informational binder was super helpful. We hope to be back some day!

Spring vacation
It is a lovely property and location. When we arrived, I logged into site for code to get key to check in. I only had instructions to get to the property and no code to get key. I texted and emailed the owner by the info provided on the site. No answer for 10 minutes. I then phoned # provided and got voice mail. After a few minutes I received text with code for key. We entered the home to find it had not been cleaned from prior guest. I sent pics to owner and phoned. She answered promptly and was apologetic. I was informed cleaning lady had been ill. I do understand that things happen, but other arrangements should have been made. A cleaning lady arrived and stayed for one hour and another person for half an hour. Our cleaning fee was refunded. The total of their cleaning was not enough. We still found crumbs on floor and appliances on kitchen counter were not clean, and hair on bedding. Again, I understand this is hopefully and unfortunate event. If all had been clean, my only complaint would be the beds. The main bedroom is extremely uncomfortable . The tag on mattress is Feb 4,1999. It FEELS old and tired and offered no rest after a day of exploring and hiking. The bed in room with ping pong table was also uncomfortable(2011 mattress), and the 2nd bedroom probably offers the best out of them all. My family found it uncomfortable also. I Was traveling with my 75 yr old mom, sister and my adult son. Fortunately it was only a 3 night stay. We would not have been able to endure a week on the beds.
