I grew up in this area but live in London. Iv used this hotel. Numerous times. Say no more. Staff good food could be better but it is good Rooms good parking hood easy reach of Edinburgh and Musselburgh all in al 9.7 out of 10 if the food was top class instead of good. 10 and excellent value for money. Not the dearest or cheapest in town. But will continue to use the hotel without complaint

I was for three nights in this hotel and i can say that is one of the best hotels there . In this hotel you can enjoy the sauna sttiming , swiming pool and the gym as well and you don’t have ro pay for them coz are included on the price . The staf was nice and friendly .

There isn’t too much wrong with the Kings Manor but it isn’t easy to love this place, which has a feel of the 1970s about it. The location is pretty good if you want somewhere that is easy to access by car. It has free parking and is on a bus route. The greeting in reception was friendly and helpful and the directions to my room were clear. The building has been extended over the years and doesn’t have any kind of atmosphere. The door to the room was quite scuffed and scruffy. It was one of those old-fashioned hollow ones with a cheap veneer surface. Definitely not sound proof! The room was compact but had everything I needed, including a very nice, modern shower room. The room was clean and the bed was OK, without being luxurious. On checking in, I was required to reserve a table for breakfast. A sign on the Reception desk rather sternly warns guests that, if they are late for their reserved slot, it is unlikely that staff will be able to accommodate them later. That being the case, it seems a pity that they can’t get the dining room open at the advertised time! The breakfast was fine although I never managed to find the advertised porridge. Check out was smooth, speedy and friendly. All in all, the hotel is OK as a stop-off but it feels characterless and stuck in a previous decade. The building extension hasn’t done anything to generate any feeling of warmth or cosiness, although the staff certainly do their best to mitigate this.

Outstanding
This has to be by a country mile the best hotel of best western that I have have ever stayed, the hotel is stunning, I am staying as buying a property and had to stay on longer it was no problem with staff and arranged with no fuss. The gym and pool excellent and the bar and food outstanding. I can’t say enough positives about the hotel.

Staff extremely professional in all departments. Only snag was heating was set on timer and room got very cold through the night. Also length of curtains in room 109 was ceiling to floor which would be excellent for drafts but when closed blocked off heat from heaters,so heating was not effective at all. Apart from that I will definitely stay again and recommend this hotel.

It was a comfortable stay with an excellent and spacious room. Check in was simple and effective especially given the timings and date. The staff could not have been more helpful. The pool was another delight!

We had a lovely stay , the room was nice , the beds were comfortable and was serviced every day . The breakfast was very good with a big selection of hot and cold food and that staff were very friendly.

We enjoyed our stay here in Portobello best western. Hotel is clean, staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good. We would have enjoyed the adjoining gym if we had more time. Had a lovely walk to the beach and up Portibello where some lovely shops are and had a latte before the walk back. Room was quite small but we were comfortable, and clean. No fridge which we are used to having and a complimentary water always nice. I think perhaps some new carpet and paint will freshen the hotel rooms and hallways but really was nice as is, perhaps consider for future for sure.

Freundliches inhabergeführtes Hotel am Stadtrand von Edinburgh. Das Hotel ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen und für den Transfer in die Innenstadt braucht man je nach Verkehr ca. 45 Minuten. Positiv hervorzuheben sind jedoch das freundliche, hilfsbereite Personal und das hoteleigene Schwimmbad mit Sauna. Das Hotel ist eine gute Alternative zu den überteuerten Unterkünften in der Innenstadt von Edinburgh. Die Bushaltestelle für den Transfer in der City ist direkt vor der Tür.

Hotel muito bom, localizado de fora do centro Estacionamento amplo incluído Atendimento bom. Café da manhã muito bom. Possuí academia a piscina muito boa. O hotel tbm possui um restaurante. Limpeza do quarto ok, chegamos o quarto estava limpo, cama confortável, banheiro bom com água quente. Deixamos o aviso para arrumar o quarto e quem passou apenas trocou a toalha.

Merita come hotel, davvero bello.
Come hotel è eccezionale, la camera bella spaziosa, pulita e con il bagno grande e comodo. L'unica cosa strana è che la presa elettrica non è adatta per l'uso del phon e per asciugarsi i capelli bisogna farlo in camera. Un po' noioso anche il pulsante per lo scarico del wc e ci vuole un po' per farlo scaricare ammodo. Ottima impressione. Tra l'altro, essendo fuori dal centro di Edimburgo, ha il ristorante e quindi è perfetto.
