Perfect Family Get-a-way!
We reserved this property for a Celebration of Life event for our father's passing. We couldn't have been happier with the property! There were 14 of us at one point, and everyone had a place to sleep, even showers worked out despite many people wanting them in close succession. The kitchen is great, found everything we needed. I am so glad there is no TV in the upper living room, instead everyone played games and talked while playing music on the speaker in the kitchen. I don't think anyone ever even used a TV! We hiked to the pond at the top of the ski hill next to the house, dogs loved it! Close to town and in a beautiful setting. Campfire outside each night. The owners have made sure to include everything you could need here, we only brought food and drinks. Thank you so much for allowing dogs, we are a big dog family and it wasn't easy finding a place to fit us all. This was really a great place to stay, can't wait to do it again!

A Great Thanksgiving Holiday
We had the pleasure of staying at this home over the Thanksgiving holiday. My family of 16 adults and one 15-month old had a fantastic stay and we would highly recommend. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed to make a grand Thanksgiving dinner, and the dining table had plenty of leaves to accommodate all 16 of us sitting together. Because of the large number of vehicles that we had and the recent record snowfall in the area, parking at the home was pretty limited (3 vehicles), but with Lynette's help and the map on the wall in the entryway we got everyone safely and legally parked for the long weekend. Lynette was a wonderful host and despite my multiple emails to her, she never seemed to lose patience with me. She always provided not only the information I was requesting, but lots of additional information to help ensure a wonderful vacation at her home and in the village of Ellicotville. We are not skiers, but thoroughly enjoyed Lynette's home and Ellicotville's charm. We highly recommend!

Ellicottville getaway
This is the perfect property to get together with family or friends and go skiing or just hang out and explore Ellicottville!! Lynette was a great host! Very communicative and gave us tons of recommendations on stuff to do. The Chalet was clean and cozy and was the perfect gathering place for my group this past weekend. Highly recommend!

Wonderful New Years stay!
This home (and Holimont generally) is such a special place and community! Even with a historic lack of snow, we had a wonderful stay! The house is exactly as advertised, clean and spacious, and perfect for 2 families (including 4 kids). The kids loved the ping/beer pong table! The owner was incredibly helpful and responsive - even offering us ideas of what to do around town since there were a few days when skiing was not an option! We loved it and can’t wait to return with some real snow!

Just Amazed!!!
The best stay we have ever had. The property in located in a scenic location amongst trees, valleys. The Chalet has everything one might need. Its a great location for a skiing vacation but we were in this palatial chalet for a summer break and we thoroughly enjoyed every moment of our sojourn.. Thanks Lynette , we cant thank you enough.

Very nice weekend stay
We had a wonderful weekend stay at this house in EVL. It was very cozy, super clean and well stocked with everything we could possibly need. The host was a pleasure to work with and was so accomodating and helpful. The only complaint we had and the host agreed was that new couches might help to make the living room area a little more comfy than it already was. Plenty of clean towel and lots of space for sleeping should it be needed. Basement area (where most of bedroom space is) was not damp at all and had so many fun things to do! We would definately stay again! Awesome street to take a little stroll on as well in the summer! I can only image how great this property would be if you were a skier.

A few days of fun
Rolled into Ellicott Ville to ride mountain bikes for a few days lifelong friends. The property was easy to check into, very convenient access to the town and a quiet comfortable place to relax. The owners made it quite easy for us to enjoy. Would recommend to other renters.

A nice place for a family get-away

Wonderful ski retreat
My family and I loved staying here. The house is a perfect, cozy ski lodge with plenty of space and you can’t beat the ski in/ski out feature. The host was very at tentative snd easy to communicate with. Highly recommend!

Ski country delight!
Spacious, comfortable house in the woods. Ski in/out which avoids need to drive to private ski area. House is very well equipped, especially kitchen tools & equipment. Fireplace was a joy though the wood ( supplied by hosts) was not good for a roaring fire....we managed . We brought our own kindling which helped. House is built into hillside and is very vertical. People with mobility issues won’t be happy. Hostess was incredibly thoughtful, responsive and kind. She immediately answered any questions. Our winter experience at this house was everything we’d hoped for....it’s great for a big group but cozy for just a threesome like ours.

Family meet up
We were looking for a place to meet up with family in the east coast and feel so fortunate to have found this property. The house is great and the area is beautiful with tons of outdoor activities. The town has everything you need and Nothing you don’t. The owners are very nice and checked in to see how we were doing. House instructions are clear and easy to follow. Highly recommend!

Just what We Needed
My son and I spent 14 days at this perfect home that afforded us quiet, tranquil days amidst the trees and nature. Lovely hikes up the ski slope and further to discover Spruce Lake. Having ping pong and darts were appreciated. Many games were provided as well as several drawerfuls of DVDs to enjoy. Lynette was a thoughtful owner and easy to work with. I would highly recommend this tree-house feeling retreat.

Homey, cozy and warm!
My extended family stayed at Lynette's for three nights over Thanksgiving. We even cooked and served a delicious Thanksgiving dinner for 14! Lynette's chalet is spacious and comfortable, perched on a quiet road with visiting deer and a busy birdfeeder. The chalet is so well-appointed and convenient, with all the kitchen implements we needed, nice modern appliances, and an open floorplan so our big group could spread out across the great work area in the kitchen, the big dining table for puzzles & games, and enjoy the living room fireplace with comfy couches. Lynette was generous and attentive, checking in regularly to make sure everything was going okay. What a wonderful host, and a beautiful property - the chalet was the perfect setting for a memorable family holiday!

Great multi-family house
We brought a couple families up and had a great time. House is clean, well-kept, and had everything we needed for an enjoyable Fall weekend in EVL. Big open room upstairs to hang out and be together as a group. Kitchen is good sized and fairly well stocked for our cooking needs. Eventually the kids migrated downstairs, which was perfect because they had their own TV, ping pong, and plenty of room to chill away from parents. Oh, and beautiful expansive views out every backside window. One tip that the owner will also share with you: we woke up to a couple inches of snow which adds a bit of "excitement" to the location which you need to factor in if you're coming in winter. The road up to the house is a fairly steep grade. Don't attempt going up or down in a 2WD with banana skin tires or you will regret it. Same with stairs down to the front door of the house. You will bite it big time if you're not careful. None of this is anything to worry about unless you're unprepared. Lynette's a good, attentive owner. Proactively made sure we were happy with everything and even remotely turned the heat on for us before we arrived. She's very accommodating and we appreciated it. All-in-all, exactly what we were looking for.

The kids really love having their own space to hang out, and, of course, the parents are good with that too! :) Snow can make our hill pretty slick. We have a plow guy that takes good care of the hill but a 4 wheel drive vehicle is always a good idea. I do provide lots of shovels to take care of the steps (Hopefully the kids!) and salt too. Glad you were able to enjoy the snow! I love helping my renters enjoy my place and know that you can text or call for anything big or small. You are welcome back anytime!

Terrific Ski Weekend with Friends and kids
We spent Presidents Day weekend 2018 at this lovely Holimont Chalet. It was perfect for 4 families (7 adults 7 children). Each family had their own room and there was plenty of space for all of our accompanying ski gear - the boot room was perfect for keeping all of our stuff organized! The house was stocked with everything 14 people could need over the course of 5 days. Plenty of wood, towels, kitchen supplies, even the pantry and refrigerator were stocked with essentials. Having a washer and dryer was very handy as well. We thoroughly enjoyed our ski days at Holimont, it was a lovely resort, no crowds and terrain for all ability levels. Our 7 and 8 year old even tackled their first black diamond! The property owner was very helpful and responsive to all of our communications and followed-up upon our arrival to make sure we were settled and had what we needed. She provided us with very useful information about Ellicottville on our first visit to the area. I've done a lot of VRBO's and this was one of our best experiences yet.

Our family, adults and grandchildren stayed at this house over Thanksgiving weekend.
Our family had a wonderful time staying here. The house is fully equipped to prepare a Thanksgiving dinner! Lynette the owner was extremely helpful with any of our questions and needs. Our only complaint was that the furniture was not very comfortable to sit in around the fireplace. Other than that, we loved the house and the location was great for going into town.

A beautiful property nestled in the woods close to the town of charming Ellicottville!
This property was a perfect location and size for a group of couples or a few families to share. (We booked this for a wedding that we attended at a local ski area). It was spacious, well stocked with kitchen items, linens, and above all, clean. If you enjoy the outdoors and a nice walk, you can even stroll into the town Ellicottville for a delicious Saturday morning breakfast. The owner was fantastic to communicate with. She recommended many things to do and also left a binder with an easy step by step closing up procedure. In closing, I would most definitely recommend!!!!

Beautiful, open home
I stayed here with family for a weekend this summer. The house looks amazing and captures the essence of Ellicottville and ski country, nestled in the woods in Holimont. It is easy to come and go, and a quick drive to town. We caught an Uber home, and a few walked back from town one night. The house was clean, everything we needed was provided. Everyone slept well and enjoyed their stay. The owner was absolutely wonderful and quick to respond. I would certainly rent this space again and recommend it to large groups of family or friends traveling to the area for a short or extended stay!

Wonderful Place to Stay!!!
We were in town for a wedding and got to stay in this beautiful home. It was well stocked, clean and fit my family, and both of my brothers families as well. Wonderful experience

Lovely quiet Chalet. Get lost in the wilderness
Spent time with my close friends this Memorial Day weekend. It was a sort of reunion so we did not intend to do a lot of activity. That way this was a perfect place with an open kitchen so that we could converse while cooking. Kids had their own space below, big enough for them to run, watch TV and play. It was rainy so could not use the outside much. The only sore point - We were really looking forward to use the Jacuzzi however could not get it to work. It was not responding to the switch, not sure why. Else was a great memorable weekend. Would recommend it to others who just want to spend time with close ones.

Relaxing
It was the most relaxing and inviting home I have stayed in. We had an enjoyable vacation, even when the weather didn't cooperate. The owners were very responsive and answered any questions we had. We were also happy to take along our 9 year old dog, so she could enjoy the vacation with us, too.

The property was perfect for our large, family reunion.
The common areas were large enough for conversation, games, and eating as a group. The fireplace provided warmth and coziness. Access to the slopes was great for skiing and sledding. Probably the best part of this rental was communication and accommodation with the owners. They were responsive to every request and went out of their way to make sure our stay was all we hoped for. We would recommend the property to any family wishing to enjoy being together and experiencing all Holimont and Ellicottville have to offer.

Wonderful, relaxing stay!
This was such a relaxing week for me and my family. Lynette made everything so accommodating for us. The house is on a quiet street and everyone enjoyed grilling on the deck and using the fire pit. The downtown is quaint and cute. Lots of shops and restaurants for you to enjoy. Would recommend this to anyone!

Excellent vacation home in an idyllic setting
We spent the fourth of July weekend at this dream house. We were 3 families with 2 college bound teens and 2 toddlers, a total of 12 heads. The property is on a scenic mountain road and is easily reachable from the highway. We were stunned on arrival by the fairly large foyer and the open kitchen- family room floor. The sliders on the living level open out to hilly development with pretty little houses strewn about. The kitchen was extremely well appointed with everything our large family could want - plenty of cutlery, pots, pans, knives, cutting boards (2 large ones and a medium sized one and a couple smaller ones), wine glasses, water glasses, microwave, gas stove, spices etc.. The hot water spigot in the kitchen came in very useful for making quick soup (so we binged less on junk). The lower bedrooms were very nice with bunk beds in each of them. The bedroom on the living level with an attached bath was really nice to have with an older couple needing access. The backyard fire pit was an awesome social hub later in the evening and together with the ping pong table in the lower level, the house was easy and fun to pass time in , especially for the younger folks including the college freshman. There's an ipod / mp3 speaker in the kitchen that kept us all entertained with a party like atmosphere through dinner and lunch. In addition, its so easy to walk around Elicottsville downtown and have a great time especially in the wineries !! If we go back to Elicottsville, there's no doubt this is the first home we'll check out ! Lynette was a terrific host, made us feel so at home from the time we considered this place for our vacation to the she refunded our deposit (which btw was very timely and without hastle).

Great ski in/ski out house at Holimont
Our group of 20 (4 families) stayed at the house over a weekend in January 2016. The house was great and served our needs. Plenty of space for all. We took full advantage of the house's proximity to Holimont and did a ton of skiing. Great house and Lynette was very helpful arranging everything before our arrival. The only caution I would mention (and Lynette made us fully aware of this) is that there is a pretty steep hill that must driven up to get to the house. We were blessed with a ton of new snow while we stayed at the house (in an otherwise bad winter snow-wise) but this made the hill a bit treacherous for even 4WD vehicles.

Spacious and scenic
We had four families - eight adults and 12 children - and the chalet was big enough to accommodate our large group comfortably. The kitchen/dining/living room area was spacious for lounging/eating/hanging out. The ski equipment room on the bottom floor was convenient to store all our gear. Location is ideal - four houses away from the nearest run. Decorated nicely. Would definitely go back.
