Good stop over hotel
Great little hotel to use as a stopover while you wait for the Santander ferry. Its a 20 minute drive away. Good size rooms. Hotel staff helpful. There's a cafe and restaurant on site. Accept dogs which is important for us and free parking outside of the hotel.

Good hotel but café staff need to up their game.
The hotel was easy to find and we sekected it because it accepted dogs and was only a 20 minute drive from the Santander Ferry. The greeting from the receptionist was very warm and friendly and she answered all the queries we had. The room was clean, bed was a bit too firm for us, but this is just a personal preference issue. Bathroom was small but had everything required and was clean and tidy with plenty of hard water. There is a cafe and a restaurant on site to suit everyone's budget. The only thing that let the place down for us was the staff serving in the cafe. We got there mid afternoon and wanted a beer, coffee and cake and seemed to get ignored when i went to the counter to place my order. Other guests turning up behind me had their orders taken and I almost went to the receptionist to find out what the issue was. This happened again in the evening when we went down to have a light supper. Guests seated after us had their orders taken and were served before anyone came to take our drink order. Poorest service we had received anywhere we had eaten in the 6 weeks we had spent in Spain. Such a shame after the positive greeting and assistance we had from the receptionist.

Friendly staff
We stayed here before travelling to Santander for the ferry, easy to find, some on site parking. Room was good, clean, comfy bed, black out blind. Reception staff friendly and helpful. The hotel was very busy the night we stayed, it was difficult to get served in the bar and the floor was covered in bits of paper. Overall, I would stay there again.

Comfortable stay
Arriving after travelling for 12 hours to a friendly smile makes all the diference. The room was specious and clean with plenty of complementary toiletries. A comfortable bed and pillows added to a very nice one night stay. I Would, in confidence recommend this hotel and will definitely stay there again.

The hotel is owned by an elderly couple who used to farm years ago hence why the beautiful homemade Icecreams from their cows. The beef is exemplary too The restaurant food is outstanding The room was beautifully clean. Air conditioning was superb Sheets lovely, crisp , clean beds firm but comfortable. The area is quiet with a beautiful backdrop of mountains local walking Easy access to Santander and French border...as a family with a teenage daughter we had a triple room so was perfect. Rioja is £1.50 a glass. Cafe part of this hotel is buzzing with locals eating their homemade specialties. Absolutely outstanding value for money

Great hotel!
So the reason why my review wasn’t 5* was because of the staff in the restaurant. Never have I ever had someone so rude serve me. Clearly the woman was having a bad day. She served me a bottle of wine, unopened with no glass. Then served my main course as I was half way through my starter, my partner had finished so she took his plate...bread was thrown as us on the table and she was swearing constantly. This was one woman in the restaurant - other than her it was a wonderful place to stay, the room was clean and tidy. Parking was plentiful and secure. Receptionist was helpful and informative, bar staff was lovely when we went for breakfast, very patient with my Spanish lingo! Lol would stay there again, great if you need a stop over for the night :)

Very little sleep
A little way from Santander not too difficult to find, the bed was very uncomfortable, and the pillows were solid, not a good night sleep. Plenty of hot water, dinner started at 8 pm, an adequate meal.

Perfect Roadside Inn! Great Value!
I was really happy with this little hotel, plenty of parking, nice little restaurant, etc. I stayed on the first floor, over the outside eating area, so with my window open it was pretty noisy, but the noise was people laughing and enjoying themselves, and thanks to the air conditioning, I just had to close the window to have silence. In fact, this was a great little place until the wi-fi in the hotel stopped working on my last day there. Make sure you check out the cute little town of Solares while here, a short 10 minute drive. There's a Visitor Information Center there and plenty to do.

Useful transit hotel close to A8 and Santander
This is a low cost hotel and is good value for the price. We were warned it was not wheelchair friendly when we booked, but there was only one little step to get into the hotel and the lift is fairly small when you are pushing someone in a wheelchair but we managed ok. Convenient night stopover for Santander ferry. You get what you paid for. It was clean and the shower worked a lot better than larger more expensive hotel

Séjour agréable
Séjour correct. Très bon accueil par la réception. Chambre propre. Los pasiegos a une boulangerie en bas de l'hôtel proposant des petits déjeuners bons marchés avec des pâtisseries savoureuses. Nous avons pu également profiter de leur restaurant avec des plats originaux.

Seul bémol la fenêtre de la chambre donnait sur une plate-forme où se situent les évacuations hottes des cuisines impossible s’ouvrir la fenêtre sans être envahis d’odeur de graisses Peut-être une demande spéciale pour éviter cela lors de la résa A part cela , très chouette rapport qualité prix à à peine une heure de Bilbao peut-être un bon compromis pour visiter la ville ou la côte d’ailleurs

Pedimos una habitación triple y la q nos dieron estaba genial. De hecho era para 4 personas. Recibidor con 2 habitaciones una con 2 camas y otra con 1 de matrimonio. Baño grande. Por poner una pega… el ruido del montacargas todas las mañanas a las 7.

Alojamiento ideal para visitar Santander, Laredo etc
Ya nos alojamos en otra ocasión, muy aconsejable, por la ubicación, puedes ir en autobús a Santander, edificio grande, tiene habitaciones a ambos lados y las ventanas están muy bien insonorizadas. Se permiten mascotas al menos por las zonas comunes, los alérgicos al pelo de perro deben tener en cuenta. Creo que deberían poner algo o un cartel para evitar que las mascotas nada más bajar las escaleras hagan sus necesidades, en la entrada a recepción y al hotel.

Algunas camareras con trato justo al cliente.
Es un hotel muy acogedor, con un restaurante excelente con producto de proximidad. En cuanto a punto a mejorar, una de las camareras me criticó delante de mi pareja,sin ella saberlo, porque le pedí que me guardara unas quesadas .

Hotel en el que nos habíamos alojado antes, correcto para las estrellas que tiene y de buena relación calidad-precio. En ésta ocasión lo peor fue un olor a alcantarilla que había de vez en cuando en el baño. Lo mejor, el servicio de cafetería y restaurante.

Todo fue muy bien, pedimos una habitación doble con balcón por problemas de claustrofobia y cuando llegamos y lo volvimos a notificar nos la cambiaron enseguida. El menú del restaurante, espectacular.
