Nice hotel for the price, would stay again
The hotel was great and not too bad for the price. It was clean and the hotel staff was friendly. The only bad thing is that you have to climb stairs to get to the hotel which can be hard for disabled or people with luggage to carry.

Tired and overpriced
There is absolutely nothing "Boutique" about this hotel. Tired, tiny rooms uncomfortable bed. Massively overpriced at 200EUR per night, plus 19EUR for a continetal breakfast. Only plus point is th elocation near the centre of Erlangen

Glad it was only one night.
The hotel is very small and very strange. The bathroom is extremely small. The bed wasn’t comfy and the pillows were pointless they were that old. The hotel is locked during the night and only access is through a key card system that hardly works. Luckily another returning guest could let me in as their card worked. No tea and coffee facilities, only a very poor coffee machine in the entrance that is coin operated. Very deflated by the stay. To say it is boutique is questionable. It lacks the main facilities that most hotels have.

It was difficult to find. There is no sign outside, just the name written on a glass door. There is free parking on the street outside if there is space otherwise the garage is 15 euro. The attached restaurant was fully booked as were 3 nearby ones at 6:30pm on a Saturday. I found a bar selling food. The room was compact especially the toilet/shower but it all worked and was clean. Free WiFi

Convenient, good location. Have restaurants and shops nearby. About 10 mins away from City Centre. But Breakfast is not included in the rates. A bit overpriced for Breakfast.

Very nice hotel in a good location.
The room was nice, clean and had a very pleasant smell, but the double bed wasn't very comfortable because of the gap between the two beds (would prefer to have one cover sheet on two beds rather than two on each bed to avoid the gap and discomfort). Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the hotel, the staff was very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay again.

Moderne, schöne Unterkunft mit Stil
Mein Zimmer (106) war sehr geräumig, das Duschbad modern und komplett ausgestattet, die Möblierung praktisch und bequem, die Anmutung modern und zeitgemäß. Das Frühstücksbuffet war umfassend, die Bedienung aufmerksam. Die Lage ist klasse in der Nähe der Innenstadt, aber auch nicht weit weg von unseren Kunden.

The hotel was very nice, the staff were very helpful and pleasant. The room was nicely furnished, and clean, not tatty. The bathroom was a bit small, but overall it was a good stay, and I'd stay there again if I was back in Erlangen. It was only a few minutes walk from the central railway station, and a 10 minute walk to the old town, shopping area, and bars and restaurants.

First time in Erlanger
I arrived very late on the Wednesday night and the hotel was all shut up, however there was a sign in the window with a number to call (the sign is in English & German). I called the number the sleepy young lady directed to an electronic key box and gave me the key code which in turn gave me access to my room key and the WIFI key codes. The morning breakfast was a full continental breakfast with a good selection and variety. The hotel is in the old section of the town and is near the university and within walking distance of the station through the park. The room was small but clean. The bathroom was clean and had a good shower. The only issue with the bathroom is the toilet holder catches you in the leg when moving around the bathroom. The hotel is nice and clean and I would stay there again.

A short (one night) stopover in a long journey. Hotel difficult to access as no parking to stop. Man on reception seemed to think we were inconveniencing him by arriving. Building and rooms glossy in appearance but basic in facilities, and room was very small. Worst feature, being on a busy city street, with noisy traffic from early in morning. Over-priced for a basic hotel. There are better options in Erlangen.

Beware of price hike on confirmation email.
Fine little hotel, although the price on on hotels,com was a lot less when I booked it than what I neded up paying. Unfortunately, I didn't notice on the confirmation email that the price was WAY higher that on the booking page. Not very impressed with hotels.com for that. Will be very wary about using hotels.com in the future and only as a last resort.

The on site eatery was fantastic, Parmigianino. The specialty dishes were worth the stay. The buffet breakfast was minimal but good quality and the greeting was professional and cordial and timely. The room was suitable and comfortable every thing clean and functional. The restaurant was so good. On the first night I had the specialty pasta mixed in a large wheel of cheese and served with chicken. On another night the chef prepared me four courses of small dishes, including pasta and a steak with fantastic sides.

The 'premium' room was quite cramped. small shower that you practically have to vault the toilet to access. Small desk accessibly only from the end of the bed. Not what was expected from the top priced rooms in the hotel! At least the upgrade price was relatively small - but does worry what the standard rooms are like! Awkward hotel reception area too, very cramped.

My little family of three stayed the night here to be close to Nurnberg for the Christmas Market. Not only was the hotel not horribly far away but it was the cheapest hotel that had a room available. Breakfast was included and we did not have to pay extra for our 3 year old. The room has a mini bar that actually has normal pricing and they do offer you a free bottle of water! We paid extra for the hotel park which is under the hotel but totally worth not having to walk in the snow or having to clean snow off our car in the morning. The staff is helpful and they do speak English.

A very nice hotel almost in the city centre area, 5 min walking distance. Clean, quite simple but quite enough of facilities for a nice stay. Breaksfast was designed to satisfiy vegetable lovers, with a spice of olive oil and seasoning combined. A very comfortable stay, not for disabled though. Very clean, techniques worked, instructions were up to date, situation not necessarily true everywhere. I recommmend this one.

Secure, comfortable and clean.
Not a place to come for a 'weekend away' perhaps but perfectly adequate and comfortable for a quiet nights sleep. Mostly seemed to be used by business people, although we came as a couple. Décor was fresh and new, as was the bathroom. Very good location.

Boutique Hotel Villa Soy in Erlangen
Hotel standard was in general ok, but I think I had bad luck with the room I got. It was very small and it was located on ground floor next to the street (which means it was noisy). Quality of the WLAN network was not acceptable at all. Price/performance ratio was also very bad (all hotels in the city was fully booked so it is possible that the price was extraordinary high at this time).

Die Lage des Hotels ist super, der Kaffeeautomat unten im Eingangsbereich ist ein toller Bonus und das Personal wirklich sehr freundlich und Hilfsbereit. Das einzige was etwas ungünstig war, war das es keine Handtuchhalter im Bad gab und wir die benutzten Handtücher auf der Fensterbank ablegen mussten. Der Teppich im Zimmer hat auch schon ein paar Jahre (Flecken) auf dem Buckel und es war etwas hellhörig, aber ansonsten war das Zimmer sehr gemütlich, sauber und völlig ausreichend. Die Bettwäsche und Handtücher haben lecker nach frischer Wäsche gerochen (was wir selten in Hotels vernehmen, oft riecht es nach Chemiewäsche) und es gab zur Begrüßung eine kleine Schokolade die auf dem schön dekorierten Bett auf uns wartete, was wir sehr aufmerksam fanden. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.

Room Service is Good, which stcik to the 15:00 check in policy. Breakfast : only the Coffee is excellent, the breakfast choice is not worthy for 9,50 Euro , very few choice. Cleanness: excellent The room is very clean but very small, and very very noisy, you can hear people talking on the street, noice from downstair restaurant, awfuly noisy. Two things are not satisfied: one is very noisy, the other one is breakfast is extremly simple.
