The staff at check in was amazing even though Expedia lost my reservation and ended up refunding my money the hotel itself did an excellent job of accommodating us and for a cheaper rate!!!

The main reason we chose this place was the so called water park, which the only thing it had was a slide, which wasn't even set up.

Maggie was awesome! She’s the only reason I have the place a try. Breakfast had a nice selection. Eggs and sausage needed cooked a little longer. I like the waffle station set up as it was easy to use and the right amount. Staff was good about keeping things stocked. The shades need replaced. Luckily, I had clips with me so I was able to clip them shut. Pervious person left stuff in the pullout couch, that wasn’t cool.

I’ll stay here again.
We came to Escanaba for a funeral. We were thankful we were able to check in early to change our clothes. The room was clean and nice.

Great family vacation hotel
The room was clean and comfortable, the staff were all very friendly and helpful, the pool was great, the continental breakfast was on point, and the lemon water by the front desk as well as the tea/coffee were excellent. We would definitely stay here again. :)

THE place to stay in Escanaba
This is our favorite hotel in Escanaba. Tried to get a room here in June but it was fully booked so we had to stay elsewhere. Fortunately, we had no issues getting a room in October. Other than a very slow-to-fill toilet valve in #210 (replace this please... for the next guy), everything was great for our trip.

Room was good, as clean as it can be. Pull-out couch/bed was not very comfortable but it did the job. The extra blanket provided for that bed was not a comforter but a super heavy, rough, uncomfortable blanket, which we did not use. A spare comforter would be appreciated more I'm sure. Breakfast was good. I really appreciated the lemon-infused water that was available in the lobby!

We had a last minute change of plans and because we had booked through Expedia with a special rate—and to be fair clearly stated nonrefundable—they would not refund our one night stay. We were disappointed as we’d let them know three days prior to our anticipated stay. They were “hard and fast” that when booking through a third party there’s no wiggle room. Expedia was great even trying to intervene on our behalf. Because of this one property we will not use this brand in the future. We can understand them charging us if we’d cancelled the day of or even the day before but we learned an expensive lesson. When booking always beware of No refundable rates. The spokesperson said if we had booked through their property they would have considered a refund. (We seriously doubt it, as they really weren’t that nice when we made the request several days before the booking). We think they probably kept our money and resold the room again when we didn’t show…greedy. Again…our mistake! Won’t ever happen again.
