Very lovely time spent with family
Location was beautiful had to spend alot of time indoors due to wind and rain. Had a wonderful time for Christmas with the family. Property manager was very attentive to all our needs and concerns. Overall we had a blast just enjoying the family!!! Thank you!!!!

Stayed at house for wedding in Athens.
Would have given this place 10 stars if I could have. PERFECT place. Host even supplied wood for campfire. Nothing was lacking. Will definitely be back if the need arises. Thank you Wayne and Melissa.

Beautiful home with mountain view
The home is well kept but does have some creaky floors. They thought of everything that would make our stay comfortable and even left us a little surprise from the garden! It is in the woods so be careful walking. We came home with chiggers! We always enjoy the train ride, but Cherohala skyway was closed due to flooding. If you enjoy hiking and kayaking this is the perfect place to stay!

The Mountains Are Calling...
Wonderful spacious cabin with great mountain views. Wrap-around deck for dining, bbq-ing, game of checkers, afternoon drinks & fire pit for nighttime convos/stories. Super clean & well stocked kitchen of cooking appliances, cookware, etc. Nice linens & bath towels. Owners have kept the kiddos in mind with games, coloring/art items. Would definitely stay here again!

We absolutely loved our stay at this Cabin. Beautiful views of the mountains. We especially enjoyed the firepit. I would recommend anyone traveling to this area to stay here. Thanks to the hosts for a memorable stay!

Great view
Lovely and cozy home, ample space for family of 6. We loved playing checkers on the porch and never tired of the mountain view from the deck. Easy access to Athens and hiking in the mountains. Definitely would return. The Westlings were great hosts and very responsive the one time we needed to contact them. Definitely would return.

Cabin in the woods minutes from town
For this cabin to be minutes from town, it feels like you’re in the woods. The view is spectacular and the cabin itself is beautiful!! The hosts have thought of everything….in the kitchen they have supplied any gadget you could want, tons of pamphlets/maps on surrounding things to see and do, and many, many games snd movies for rainy days. We LOVED our stay and look forward to staying again for a quick get away

Beautiful setting and very comfortable
This property was exactly what we were expecting and what we needed to have a wonderful week-long stay in the area. We spent a lot of time driving to the Smokies, to Chattanooga, to various places to go antique shopping and other interesting places. This was a wonderful place to come back to at the end of the day to relax, enjoy the setting/views and re-charge for the next day's activities. Would definitely stay here again !

biker riding week in TN
The cabin was very nice with all of the creature comforts. If pulling a trailer, the driveway is a long way at a steep angle - be sure you have a good tow vehicle that can stop on the angle and get started up again. Neighbors dogs ( sounded like 7-10) barked constantly which limited our outdoor deck activity

Beautiful property. Takes you back to another time.
5 stars until dusk and then the dogs were barking for 2 hours every night. We would just go indoors and everything would be ok. I thought you should know. Enjoyed your area immensely.

TN motorcycle ride
Wayne and Melissa are awesome hosts with an amazing log home. The house was super clean and easy to access all of the amenities. You can tell they put a lot of thought and effort into the comfort for their guests!! The location is amazing and the views are just as great!! Absolutely will be staying here again!! Beautiful secluded mountain top getaway
This beautiful home is situated atop a mountain overlooking the valley below and more mountains. The wrap-around porch offers gorgeous views all around. The home itself has everything you need from the kitchen to the bathrooms and laundry. We enjoyed hiking to several beautiful waterfalls, antique shopping in many of the nearby communities, visiting Ruby Falls, Rock City and the Incline Railway at Lookout Mountain, and exploring the Lost Sea Adventure. We definitely recommend this cabin and would love to come back in the future.

Perfect family get away
If you are looking for a great place for your family to get away and disconnect, this is for you. The are lots of outdoor activities close by and you are only an hour drive to the city. You will start and end your day on the deck with an incredible view of the mountains. Don't think twice about this property, it was worth every penny.

Breathtaking
I live in Michigan, the tallest thing we have are cell towers. Staying at this property with its beautiful view of the mountains was a special treat for me. Staying in late June was comfortable in the mountains. The house is very nice and well accommodated. The wrap around porch gives a wonderful view, you also have a great view while inside the house. The house has internet but I had no problem with Verizon 4G on top of this bluff where the house sits. I will be returning next year.

We have stayed here twice now and this place is wonderful. So peaceful and clean. Everything you could need is there. Fully equipped kitchen, linens, and towels. Family get away
Myself, my husband, our daughter with her husband and two small children had a wonderful vacation. Our trip was such a success due to the great place to stay and the beautiful surroundings. We had to travel an hour or so to get where we needed to go, but it was worth it. Between the horse back riding, the Mistletoe Market and the Holiday train ride we all got to do something we enjoyed. Our host was great, the Christmas Tree was beautiful and house had a lot of good character. It is definitely staying on our get away list!

Everything went well hard to reach the owner do to hard to get wifi. Only complaint is the kettles did need improvment. Other than that it was a nice place.

Everything was just as listed. Downstairs kitchen. dinning table for 6-8. Loveseat two chairs in sitting area. Bathroom in hall one bedroom. Upstairs bathroom in hall bedroom 1 queen bed. Bedroom 2&3 twin bed each. Sitting area futon. Lots of great seating outside on deck and a great fire pit. Everything was wonderful for our family of 5.

We enjoyed the cabin, the view, and overall amenities. I doubt the owners can "fix" it, but the water had a very strong suffer(?) smell and taste. As a result, we had to cook and make coffee with bottled water. It would be nice to have shades on the windows to keep the sun out and minimize the need for as much AC. But overall, we enjoyed out stay.

Very nice. Easy to find location. House is in excellent condition. Water smell was a little too strong. Also had difficulty with phone and internet. Wifi would help a great deal. But in general very nice place for a quick trip.

Home away from home!
Everything was truly amazing with our stay! The cabin was very nice and clean. We immediately felt like it was our home away from home. It was nice to drink our morning coffee on the deck while we admired the mountain view.. We went rafting at Hiwassee Outfitters, Horseback riding at Ocoee Horseriding, Dove off of Baby Falls, enjoyed Swingin' Midway Drive-in and wrapped things up at Lookout Mountain. Our stay couldn't have been more perfect and we actually met the owners mother on our way out. The stay and hospitality of the family and locals was awesome! I hope to visit again one day and enjoy more of this beautiful countryside!

We stayed here for over a week and enjoyed every minute of it! The view is absolutely beautiful & we all slept very comfortably. Its nicely tucked away, lots of privacy, bonfire available for smores and super easy to find. There are many trails & hikes close by to enjoy as well. Unfortunately, the only thing I would change are the stairs. My son, (9yrs old) slipped through them so I would think of having something added below railing for protection while walking down. Besides that, we loved it! Thank you! We hope to come back & visit again. =)

The cleanest cabin we've ever visited!

one thing missing
first of all my issue is not something the owners have any control over. the problem is an XFinity problem. for some inexplicable reason the geographical area of the cabin does not have cable run to accomadate internet or tv cable. poor business decision for XFinity. the owners are top notch hosts. I have stayed at there property twice and will return again .. thank you Wayne and Melissa for a very enjoyable stay.

Great Place to Stay!
Everything was excellent. Big comfortable cabin, new appliances, quiet peaceful area. Grocery stores and gas station nearby. Only two observations which are not deal breakers, Need Wifi !!, specially since several of the DVD movies were scratched. Overall, it was a nice experience and I wish we had stayed longer , thank you Wayne !

The cabin was beautiful and very spacious bathroom and kitchen were fully equipped
The only two things that keeps me from giving a five star stay way the gate fence lock was not functional it took me about 30 min to unlock it the cleaning crew told me I was goin to have trouble with it sure did I had trouble opening it. It needs replacing ASAP. 2nd the beds were not comfortable at all basted bedroom mattress sinks to the middle so u and your partner will sag to the middle all night long. Aside from that we had a very memorable experience hope they fix this issues and the house will rate a 10 star.
