I was told at check-in that our reservation had been moved to a sister property nearby due to overbooking. No email or text before, I just found out when I tried to check in. I had to get back in the car, (with a dog), & drive 7 minutes further. The replacement property did not provide Grab & Go Breakfast, nor did it have an equipped kitchen,( only available for an extra price), or a 24-hr reception desk. I won't go into the disgraceful condition of the kitchen other than to say that there was a hole in the laminate counter top by the stove with wires exposed. So, they sent us to an inferior affiliate but charged the same price as the original booking. Speaking of, my credit card was charged twice, so I'll need to contact my provider next. I should get an apology credit of some kind. I certainly should never have been charged the additional pet fee in the first place, as a courtesy for the inconvenience.
