The staff at the hotel were pleasant and helpful, most had some English although I found it easier to use my poor French. The room was quiet and very comfortable with loads of hot water but only one bath towel for the two of us to share. This was remedied after the first few days. Our initial problem was finding the hotel, the address given to us is not in fact the actual address, the satnav dumped us at number 6, on the other side of the autoroute but a friendly local told us how to find it, in the Comfort Hotels directory it says number 8, our local informant told us it was also a different street name. Our greeting was tempered by the information that the restaurant would be closed for the next 3 days due to a local fete, in fact it never re-opened during our stay so we, and the other guests, had to eat out every night. The hotel is not far from the city but it is impossible to walk there as there are no pavements on the roads crossing the autoroute and they are very busy. The signs on the roof of the hotel should, according to the picture on the table mats, have read Hotel Comfort Inn, however at some time the words Comfort Inn had fallen off, the supports were still in place but nothing else. At the price we did not expect luxury but one towel, no restaurant, signs fallen off and outdated address information suggests a less than committed ownership.
