The hotel is well situated in Fjällbacka and you really can’t get much better for location. As others have said, there’s no hotel parking but there’s long time parking only 10 mins walk away which was no problem for us.
Our room (Himalaya) was not located in the main hotel building & was just across the street in a separate building. The room itself was nicely decorated, clean and had a super nice view of the water which was a pleasant surprise. However the bathroom was not in the room. It was bit unclear and it wasn’t explained during check-in or when I booked so we were a bit surprised and it was just not we expected. We had no problem with a shared bathroom (or at least we believe it was?) but I wish that it was communicated better.
Another quick thing to note is that there’s loud music playing in the evening until late, from the bar at Bryggan Fjällbacka so maybe something to keep in mind if you are a light sleeper but it did not bother us.
The check-in was a bit underwhelming but I was most disappointed by the check-out. I had prepaid my stay when I booked via Expedia but the receptionist told me that it hadn’t been prepaid and I still needed to pay. I was very certain that I had prepaid so I checked my bank statement & my booking confirmation to show proof. Eventually, we got the issue resolved. I was most disappointed by the attitude of the receptionist. I received no apology and she didn’t even thank us for our stay which was unprofessional & impolite.
