Unbeatable Location!
The location of this property is unbeatable!! A quick 30 second walk to Main St, 20 min drive to all the wineries, and 20 min drive to Enchanted Rock! We enjoyed the hot tub and relaxing in the evenings after walking around all day. The hot tub wasn’t unbearably hot, which we appreciated! The back deck of Speakeasy 2 backed right up to our deck. On our last night there was a couple in their hot tub just on the other side of the fence which was a little awkward. One thing I wish this cottage had was more hooks - there was literally one hook for towels in the whole house. Not even a place to hang the hand towel. We were a little nervous about noise, since this house is surrounded by parking lot / driveway, but we slept with our sound machine and didn’t have issues at all. Bed was super comfy with plenty of pillows! We’re used to sleeping with a ceiling fan at home, so we were glad this house had one over the bed! We would stay here again when visiting Fredericksburg!

Awesome stay in Fredericksburg

Wind down wine weekend
Amazing property and easy check in process... Super cute and very clean. Convenient location. We booked a wine tour with Absolute Charm -- that was definitely the perfect touch to our stay. Mike was a wonderful, friendly and a knowledgeable guide.

The best!
This house is truly excellent. It is only a short walk to Main Street and all the attractions. The mattress is very good as is the bath and shower. Very clean. Sitting on the front porch in the evening with a glass of wine was so relaxing. This place gets an Aplus.

We had a great stay in Fredricksburg, the location was perfect so close to everything. You could walk to restaurants and bars and the main street shops if you wanted. The rental was nice, clean the hot tub was a nice perk. The only problem was the bed is extremely hard, I'm talking laying on concrete hard. We made due, lol, but just be forewarned. Also it would be great if there were some curtains, even with the blinds closed it was really bright in the am. Overall the location definitely made it worth it.

Walking distance to just about everything
Overall it was pretty good, the fan in the bedroom was wobbling and only had it on low. Not necessarily bad if you don't use it. The jacuzzi in back was not as private as expected and their was a smell of trash or something dead. Overall we did like our stay.

Amazing location - walking distance to all the main spots. I loved the mid-century mod aesthetic. Well kept, minimal, clean. Trash collection early morning (Monday, 5am or so) which can be noisy. White noise app on my phone helped with sleep. It definitely was not a deal breaker. I would rebook in a heartbeat.

Location was awesome. We had problems with both front door locks. Couldn’t enter through back door and couldn’t exit through front. Management was aware the locks were loose but didnt offer assistance. The mattress was horrible. We’ve never slept in this bad of a mattress before. There was a huge slope in middle,of mattress.

Things were surface clean, ledges doors, mirrors, front of fridge etc. all need a good cleaning. Shower curtain needs replaced, mildewed and grout in corners of tub needs bleached or re-grouted. Front steps could've been swept and back patio could be spruced up. Need room darkening curtains in bedroom. Over sized chair and ottoman in den need to be cleaned. Also, no instructions about wifi or check out process anywhere or any type of greeting. And the NOISE level around this property is beyond bad. Call me if you want more.

Nice place. The bed was too soft for us and found pan and silverware dirty. If you plan to cook, bring what you need including foil and etc. The kitchen is not equipped as we had hope to cook. There’s no instructions as to what we need to do before leaving.

My wife and I booked a long weekend at Chateau Merlot to celebrate her 40th birthday. The house is cute, and clean. Shortly after we arrived, the property manager showed up to greet us with a bottle of wine. Nice touch. The house is located perfectly for walking anywhere along main street with easy access to The Auslander restaurant, which is excellent.

We have a good time getting away from every day life. The house was nice and had a nice old school feel. The only negative we had was the trash truck coming at 6:30 in the morning. Wasn’t expecting to have that wake up call on vacation.

Quick COVID Getaway!
My husband and I needed to get away from our house and have a change of scenery. The house was perfect. It is located in a great place, close to Main Street but away from the hustle & bustle. One issue we had, Thursday night/Friday morning at 3:30AM, an 18-wheeler delivery truck spent 15 minutes backing up into the driveway next door, the beeping truck was VERY loud. Then delivered his stuff, VERY loudly, to the restaurant behind the house. I know this isn't the fault of the home owner, but someone needs to talk to the restaurant because there are other houses/residents that live in the area. After that, our experience was excellent. I will stay here again and suggest it to my friends.
