I hate you had less than a 5 star experience. We would have loved to hear from you during your stay and/or received pictures of the handprints and rug to address these with our housekeeping crew. Given the 5 star reviews before and after your stay this is definitely not the norm for us. When you stay with us again we are only a phone call away to ensure your 5 star experience.

This review is 100% false. We believe it is possible this was tied to another stay this traveler had. Especially given we have 5 star reviews directly before and after his stay. He notified us days after his stay when we already had another guest in the property. We heard no complaints from them and they even contacted us after their stay to mention how perfect everything was. We had our pest control go in the very next turn and they tore the place apart including moving appliances, moving furniture gassing fireplaces to run any insects out and removing outlet covers. Not one roach dead or alive was found. If this review is for our property weI really do not know what his end game was other than trying to get a refund as he constantly referenced his 350 a night. For those hosts that read this review we recommend being cautious renting to this traveler. We would not welcome him back in any of our cabins.

Its rare to have a guest so ready to be angry about everything while on vacation. It does happen though. Please see the three 5 star reviews prior to this one including the one that departed the day this guest arrived. 47 reviews total 43 of which are 5 stars. We notify guest in our contract that during busy season checkin could be delayed. We have no way of knowing when a cabin will be left a disaster, or when a crew may have a flat tire and with everyone at full capacity this can cause a delay. We had one of those instances and we informed them as soon as we knew it would be late. The drive to the cabin is definitely not like driving on the flat roads Florida as Lindsay is accustomed to. It is steep for the last 1/2 mile as indicated in our listing along with 2 switchbacks. After all, we are in the mountains. It is not as dramatic as it is being made out but it is worth noting which is why we put it in the listing. But of course, not to Lindsay's satisfaction. Let's just say building materials on large lumber trucks and cranes made it up this road with no problem to build these cabins. We've also had guests on motorcycles and in small cars like a Prius make it with no issues. Yes the dishes were left in the dishwasher so they could finish being cleaned. We would much rather let them finish being washed than stop and handwash all the dishes and delay the entry further. We had this conversation with Lindsay but once again nothing outside of absolute perfection was good enough.. The hot tub works just fine if instructions are followed. We put those in the hospitality app. Instead of reading Lindsay contacted us to complain about this. When we shared the instructions with her; she didn't acknowledge that it worked and instead started complaining about other things. True to this review the bedding is exaggerated also. There was 1 comforter that had been washed but yes, it did have an old coffee stain that did not come out in the wash. We have removed this comforter from rotation. We would not welcome Lindsay back to our cabins and would not recommend her to any other host that may read this.

Hey Chris, We are sorry you had this experience. We put information in the system that says "construction noise is likely". You asked us "how much noise" prior to booking. We advised "There will be noise. The framing is done but they are still working on the house" At no point did we say "noise would be minimal" or anything of that nature. I am not sure what else I could have done. Regardless, we hope you will return to the area and have a better experience in the future.
