The hotel is dated and not particularly attractive. There was a dead roach on the bathroom floor and the air conditioner gave off an oder when it was blowing. The breakfast was good and the people were kind and friendly.

Room was clean but the bathroom needs work! Toilet moved everytime you sat on it. The bathtub base/floor you felt like you were going to throw it. It was terrible.

It is hotels like this one that give Vest Western a bad name. This place is grim. The carpet outside the bathroom was wet. I brought this to the attention of the front desk, but there was no indication they did anything to fix it. The toilet was so low it was hard to sit down or get up. The tile shelf in the bath tub was disgusting and needs to be replaced.

My first room was a bit under par, AC not working and carpet felt sticky. I was moved to another room, the handicaper room. nicer, and the toilet was plugged. I discovered this late into the night when I went to the lue. I don't want to give this place a bad review, it could stand for some improvement for the facility. Staff was friendly and cheerful.

Nice room in cool little town
Clean room; AC unit did NOT smell, so they do perform maintenance on them; towels were in good shape; not threadbare or rough. Nice smell. Good pillows. In room fridge was cold when I walked in; microwve was clean. Tap water was good quality. Shower had good pressure.

I did not care for the “incidentals” charge of $50.00 “in case” I decide buy something. This is a total gimmick to make money. Twenty-four hours after check out my credit card shows it is still charged to my account.

First of all, the PICTURE of this hotel, is NOT THIS HOTEL. The BWGWEI is OLD and shows it!!! Our bathroom toilet seat was NOT EVEN SCREWED DOWN, and the towels and WASHCLOTH HAD BROWN STAINS. Really !!!!! I refused to take a shower. Breakfast area seats were split, with filling spilling out. UGH !!!

The room appeared clean, linens were fresh. AC in room was very efficient. The shower and bathroom as a whole were not in good condition. The shower curtain rod was not attached to the wall, and the wall was cracked and crumbling where it was supposed to be attached. Sheetrock was exposed. There was a significant gap between the tile on the floor and where the tub was placed, exposing damaged concrete. The toilet didn’t flush properly, it took several attempts using the handle, to get it to flush. When I spoke to the front desk prior to booking, I was told the hotel rooms were in interior corridors. I felt very vulnerable traveling alone with my son, with exterior corridors. Next trip to George West, I am unlikely to choose this hotel again.

The check in was a great experience. The staff was very friendly. Walkable for the most part not a huge variety of restaurants, but perfect for a night stay while passing through. Breakfast was awesome.
