Our third time staying here. We love it and will be back.
Absolutely beautiful! We met the owner who lives across the road and he brought us a wheel barrel of fire wood. Such a nice guy. We also bought some fresh duck and chicken eggs from him. Can’t wait to come back!

Quick getaway
Four adults for an annual cabin getaway. The cabin is exactly how it looks in photos. Well stocked kitchen and propane for the outdoor grill. Coming home to the hot tub was fantastic after a morning of hiking. Overall a lovely weekend.

Family vacation
My family stayed a week at this cute little cabin and loved it! The river was beautiful and very refreshing during the 90+ degree days and the hot tub was a great way to spend our mornings/evenings. The cabin itself was smaller and more rustic than it appears in pictures, but that wasn’t an issue for us. Some minor things we noticed, the hot tub seems pretty old and could use a thorough cleaning. Some of the furniture could use updating. The oven, while very cute, cooks pretty inconsistently. The only thing that we found off-putting was a crusty stain on the sheets in the master bedroom. I’m not easily grossed out and it was so hot we slept on top of the blankets anyways. But it was clear that the sheets had not been changed/washed between guests and the check out instructions ask that we not strip the beds so they can be inspected for stains which I found odd. Overall our stay was wonderful!

Cozy Hidaway
Location was cozy, tucked away. 10 min drive on gravel private roads to get in from the highway. House has a man cave feel w animals on the the walls and man things everywhere. I would say it has a manly, relaxed, middle of the woods feel. Not scrubbed clean, could use some new things. The king room feels lived in, the second room is fresher. Byo pillows. Good for dogs. Thoughtful they provided dog towels. Private yard, wish they would cut away some trees to give a little better view of the river. Nice amenities the next town over. Lots of hiking and places to see, things to do if you like the outdoors. Overall great spot. Would recommend to fam and friends.

Tranquil stunning beauty!
We absolutely loved everything about the cabin and the property. Nice change from the Texas heat to 40’s and 50’s at night. Propane fireplace and wall heaters where great to take the chill out after our dips in the hot tub while enjoying the outside fire chimney! Will definitely be back!

Beware of mice in the cabin
The cabin was ok but every night, 8-9:00 pm mice would be out running around. Interestingly enough as soon as I paid for my reservation I received an email stating we are in a cabin in the woods with critters including mice. Communication with management was delayed & not real helpful. We set traps that were in a drawer & caught three mice over two nights & disposed of them! After we got home I found a mouse had gotten into a bag full of food & ate through a bag of chips & a bag of potatoes. Every night I cleared the kitchen & put all food away. We saw where they were coming in at by the bedroom doors from the floors. By the looks of the mouse entrance it’s not a new issue! We were refunded the cleaning deposit & nothing more. Mice inside eating our food that I put away is unsanitary & unacceptable.
