“Hotel Poseidon should have a higher rating, and extra points for freindliness & location !”

This hotel far exceeded my expectations. The staff and owners were attentive and friendly. The room I received was brilliant, warmly furnished, very clean and had an excellent (and unexpected) balcony. The breakfast was quite good, everything was perfect. Thank you Poseidon, you made my visit to Goteborg very,very memorable. When I come back I want the very same room,(#405) and again, I appreciate your wonderful attention to detail, and your warm. welcoming manner. The internet was also very reliable. (That was so helpful to check-in with home and work mail, etc. A big plus to have a strong net connection!) I certainly intend to come back and will recommend your fine hotel to my colleagues, family and friends.

“Good value hotel in an extremely expensive city”

The hotel was very convenient for the city centre in a very beautiful building in an extemely pleasant neighbourhood. There were plenty of bars and restaurants in the immediate area. The hotel itself was very comfortable, the breakfast was excellent with a wide choice. The staff were very helpful.

Absolutely loved my stay at Hotel Poseidon. The staff members were incredibly helpful and the rooms were just great. The beds were fantastically comfortable and the shower had incredible water pressure. A true delight!

“Nice place, cool town”

My single room at Poseidon had all the space I needed, wooden floors with rugs, a chair near the window, desk & comfortable bed. Not super-modern but clean & crisp as it could be. The noise from nearby bars late at night did get pretty full on a couple of times - a problem if it's too hot to shut the window, but not a total deal-breaker. The hotel's included breakfast had a good, wide selection & wifi (once the log-on got working) was reliable enough.

“Old hotel, great location”

The best thing about this hotel - location. You can get to the main shopping center or the old section very easily by foot. The staff was great, as well. The hotel is old and the rooms reflect that. But the room was clean and the bathroom floor was heated - a huge bonus if you're traveling in the winter. May temps were on the cooler side, mid-60s to low 70s, but we did find the room a little hot, thus keeping the window open at night.
