Great place to stay

Posted Aug 26, 2014
Pros: Everything is great here, from staff to facilities.
Location: Right next to the mall and across the street from all the major shopping. Great restaurants nearby.
We have stayed at the Road King many times and it's always a great experience. Great location, comfortable beds and always clean. Love it!

Weekend shopping

Posted Aug 19, 2014
Pros: Breakfast was fine, room was cool and comfortable.
Cons: The overall temperature in the building was too warm because of the pool area and the hot tubs were not accessible as there was parties going on .
People were there partying in the pool area with beer bottles on the tables and by the hot tub area. One couple was drinking and arguing in the hallway and I mentioned this to the staff and they took care of it. I didn't appreciate this as I was not able to use the hotubs at all on the Saturday evening. In general the room was fine, staff were fine but probably would not book here again. The temperature in the building was way too hot for my comfort.

High price for low quality

Posted Jul 20, 2014
Pros: The pool and pool area.
Cons: The rooms could be fixed up and the beds could be more comfortable.
Location: Great location close to all shopping and restaurants.
When we firsted entered the room there was a musty smell. The shower was very tiny and the showerhead was very low on the wall. Not suitable for a tall person. The breakfast had very little selection.

convenient but needs work

Posted Jul 2, 2014
Pros: the staff were friendly. the breakfast was good.
Cons: The hot tubs, the bathroom.
Location: location was good. close to shopping.
the hotel was convenient to shopping but the bathroom in the room needed major updating. the hot tub by the pool had sand or dirt in two of the four seats. the other two hot tubs looked like bubble baths when the jets were turned on. it was a quiet hotel and breakfast was good.

Family Friendly

Posted Jul 2, 2014
Pros: spacious rooms, family friendly, pleasant staff and pool facilities.
Cons: size of pool towels, availability of pool towels. New beds could go a long way and a redo of the pool area. Pool water temp should be raised slightly
Location: Close to Columbia mall and other shopping, lots of restaurants and great access to the free way.
Stayed at this hotel for one night while passing through Grand Forks. Have stayed here previously and liked the gracious room sizes, and the pool area. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the room was clean and the bathrooms a good size. However, the beds were very uncomfortable and creaked a ton making them very noisy, my 15 month old son would almost wake up every time I rolled over in bed! The pool area is nice, but starting to look a little worse for wear and there were no pool towels, when hubby asked at the front desk she said she would bring some right down. 1/2 hour later there still were no towels, he asked again and she brought a few hand towel sized towels down...I had to use 3 just to feel dry enough to walk back to my room! Also the pool was really cold, my son didn't even want to be in the pool because of the temp. Breakfast is good with lots of options for everyone and the woman working in the dining area was very helpful and willing to go the extra mile to make sure you had what you needed, however they did not enforce the shirt/shoes rule and I had a couple of adult males dripping pool water all over me while getting my breakfast, was a little annoying! All in all a good spot to stay with friendly staff and excellent location close to shopping, food and fun!

Pros: location
Cons: breakfast was skimpy
Location: shopping, texas roadhouse is awesome and within walking distance.
good location, close to shopping. the security door at the back was open so anyone could wander in with out a key. no fan in the bathroom and walls are pretty thin so you could hear your neigbours.

Rooms a bit tired.

Posted Jun 16, 2014
Pros: Location is good for shopping and very nice pool area.
Cons: Bathrooms need a bit of attention.
Public facilities all well kept. Room carpet showing quite a bit of wear. Bathroom sink tap had issues with being able to turn off and next to no pressure in the shower. All contact with staff very pleasing. Breakfast was ok.
