Just 2.2 miles to the heart of Grand Marais. Fall River Road has spectacular views of Lake Superior in a quiet 9+ acre wooded setting. Stay and play at the house or drive, hike or bike to the vibrant downtown area which includes shops, restaurants and the harbor. Fall River Road is ideal for nearly all occasions.


The home features 4 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms. The main level features a comfortable living room with a wood burning fireplace, half bath, a large kitchen with all the conveniences from home, an island with seating, eat in kitchen and a wrap around deck with beautiful lake, woods and wildlife views and a propane grill. The upper level features 2 bedrooms and a jack and Jill style bathroom. The lower level features heated floors, a family room, 2 bedrooms and a combination bathroom/laundry.


Relax on the wrap around deck, the fire pit or by the fireplace after a day of exploring the surrounding woods, lakes and trails or head into town where you will find live music, great food, exciting shops, short hikes and more. If you are looking for an adventure, you're also on the doorstep of the Gunflint Trail with direct access to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. In addition, the Superior Hiking Trail crosses just above town near Pincushion Mountain. This home provides direct access to the best the North Shore has to offer and does so year-round.

**NOTE: Guests with trailers, this home has a long and curved driveway with no turn around. Trailers are hard to maneuver and not recommended.

Men's Retreat
At the end of February every year a group of 8 or 9 of us head up to Grand Marais from Stillwater. We typically stay at one of our groups member's place up on Devil Track Lake, but this is the second time in 5 years that we stayed at Deedee's place. Great spot for a large group. Very well appointed and situated. Highly recommend!

The home was super clean, very well-stocked, and perfect for our multi-family ski trip. We never felt crowded and we were able to relax and enjoy the amazing views. Family vacation
We stayed here 2 years ago. DeeDee has made some nice changes. The house is perfect for a family with kids. The setting is remote and the kids can play outside without bothering anyone. There is plenty of space outside to relax as well as in the house for privacy. So much to do in this area of MN. Would definitely stay there again.

The property is 5 minutes away from Grand Marais yet is secluded and private. Easy access to town on County Road 7 and easy in and out from Highway 61. After renting properties on Lake Superior and 61, I’ve changed my mind about needing to be on the lake. And this property was the best appointed home I’ve ever rented on VRBO or other services.

Great experience
The house and grounds were wonderful. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. We loved the bedrooms upstairs and downstairs to separate them from the activity on the main floor. We enjoyed the fire pit and spent time on the deck as well, grilling and just visiting. We whole heartedly recommend this facility to everyone who wants to enjoy the North Shore.

Quiet Retreat
Three retired couples enjoyed exploring the beauty of the North Shore. This home was perfect for relaxing after a busy day! It is so clean and the furnishings and appliances are new and nice. This home was the perfect getaway for my sister and I and our six teenage kids along with grandma and grandpa. Plenty of room for everyone - lots of memories made! Beautiful surroundings around the house and still very close to town, SHT, Lake Superior and more. We hade everything we needed to feel comfortable during our stay.

Great Fall Getaway
The location of the property is beautiful . . . surrounded by trees and peace and quiet. You can see Lake Superior, beautiful sunrises and with clear skies the moon, stars, and heavens above. The property is a short drive to Grand Marais and Hwy 61. Other reviews noted low water pressure, but you are in the woods not the city. Three bedrooms have queen beds . . . one couple reported the bed in the back bedroom downstairs was a little too soft, but the other two beds were very comfortable. The 4th bedroom has 3 twin beds. We enjoyed the large kitchen and table, the beautiful deck and walking around the property. The location was perfect for our group.

North Shore Girls’ Weekend
Great kitchen! Nice setting. Love the deck! Water pressure a little low upstairs, especially if someone is using the downstairs shower. Lots of space. The 9:30 AM check-out time felt a little early. All in all, we loved our stay. The comments above are Minor, compared to the joys of being together in this special part of Minnesota, where we have shared much adventure and laughter over many years! The trees were spectacular; we got lucky and hit it right!

Terrific home that has been completely renovated with everything you'd want for getaway with family and/or friends. Very quiet location but a short 5-minute drive to Grand Marias. The owner was very responsive to a couple of minor issues, and resolved them quickly. I highly recommend this property!

Great place for a family stay.
Plenty of room to spread out or be together. Kitchen is incredibly outfitted. Proximity to Grand Marais is great. Only one issue and that was those sleeping in the lower level heard every step we took on the main level. And the rain!

Perfect spot to stay while visiting Grand Marais and the Gunflint Trail. Plenty of room for everyone to relax after a day of hiking and sight seeing. Steve responded right away to a water pressure issue that we were having even though he was getting prepared for a possible evacuation due to the fires.
