Mares Olypus Apartments Review October 2022
No Internet at all. Unhelpful Reception. Nobody available at checking out time. I had to go to local bar each night to use internet and also order a taxi for return journey. Food standard to good buffet. Dining room staff efficient and friendly. Cleaning good. Lots of mosquitoes. Near local shingle beach. Sea clear and clean. Close to main town. Fairly quiet and traditional rooms, studios had fridges. I had a balcony overlooking the sea. Would only go again if they added internet.

Nice staff, dated and noisy hotel
This place is a real mixed bag. There are some good things: - The staff are super friendly and helpful - The location is excellent, a 2 minute walk to the lake, a local beach a minute away, tavernas and a local convenience store. - Daily cleaning The bad bits: - This is possibly the noisiest hotel we’ve ever stayed in. Now I know, this isn’t a luxury Hotel, but being woken up constantly by the amount of noise coming from the communal areas was a problem. I’m not talking about people being inconsiderate, it’s just there is so little isolation provided by the door and walls. - The rooms are super dated and dirty. Yes they surface cleaned every day, but the level of grime of dirt and grime in the areas not cleaned is not nice. The plugs were faulty, there were a few exposed cables. Parts of the bathroom were broken. So it’s a shame. I don’t like writing grumpy reviews, after all the staff were lovely. But the overall experience of staying here wasn’t great and I know that if we ever came back to Agios Nikolaos, I wouldn’t be staying at this hotel again. We stayed at two other places whilst in Crete and they were both fantastic and for less than what we paid here!

Fantastic, comfortable, easy locy
The hotel is so close to the beach and it's quiet. The restaurants nearby (Archontiko is the best). The staff were incredibly helpful with directions.

The location was great just steps from the sea. However, I asked for a studio with a view which when I arrived was not available. I was told that rooms were assigned when you arrived. That should be noted when making reservation. That being said the room was clean, and the staff very helpful.

Good Location
In general it was ok, the manageress & waitresses, Sophie & other girl, were very nice & very helpful. The bar man that came on duty in the evening, seemingly must not have received any customer relationship training. Very ignorant, unpleasant, an inconvenience for him to serve anyone.

Quaint little hotel ( a bit shabby in places but in a homely way ) very friendly staff, great home cooked food, fantastic location , excellent value for money.

Nice basic hotel
This hotel is a nice basic place to stay. The service was great and being all inclusive was a nice feature. The food in the restaurant was well prepared and abundant, consisting of traditional Greek cuisine. Stavroula at the front desk was very helpful and well informed about the local area and how to get around the island. Sofie in the restaurant quickly recognized our preferences and had them at the table by the time we sat down. Things that could have been better were: the bathroom needs updated, especially the bathtub/shower. Shampoo and conditioner would have been a nice touch. Housekeeping was overall very good, but towels should be changed every day. Beach towels would have been nice as well. Despite these shortcomings, I would stay here again as the service and location were superb!

Appartements anciens mais propres. Climatisation. Cuisine complète. Grand balcon avec vue sur la mer. Le personnel au restaurant est attentif et très sympathique. La nourriture, présentée sous forme de buffet, est bonne et variée. Bonne situation dans Agios Nikolaos. Plage et port à 50 m.

très bien
nous étions au 5eme dans un appartement duplex très agréable avec petit balcon sur la mer et vue exceptionnelle. l'escalier en colimaçon peut être difficile pour certaines personnes mais la chambre était très agréable. petit déjeuner en buffet très fourni et personnels très sympas. pas de parking mais placé facilement trouvé dans une petite rue. faut savoir faire les créneaux!!

Die Bucht wird zurecht als eine der schönsten bezeichnet, wir haben im Zuge unserer Undreise fast alle gesehen, sind allerdings keine Strandurlauber.

For 2 adults and a kid, the all inclusive was a massive bargain. The food really is good Cretan cuisine, and there's a pretty good variety available. The service is also very welcoming. It's a local three star hotel, and you should treat it as such. Don't expect luxury, and you'll do great. You can expect great service and good food. Heartfelt recommendations. We really enjoyed our stay.

Für eine 3 Sterne Hotel war es besser als erwartet. Das Personal ist umsichtig und speziell im Restaurant sehr freundlich. Da fühlt sich der Gast wohl. An die Umgebungslautstärke muss man sich erst gewöhnen (Mopeds ohne Schalldämpfer!). Die Schließgeräusche der Türen im Hotel haben uns immer wieder aus dem Schlaf gerissen.

Un des meilleurs emplacement d'Agios Nikolaos... Hôtel en front de mer qui dispose en plus d'une petite plage ce qui est rare dans cette petite ville. L'hôtel est propre, le personnel accueillant et chaleureux par contre la nourriture est désastreuse, vraiment limite immangeable. Elle est servie sous forme de buffet, souvent c'est froid... pas du tout appétissant, durant le séjour, je n'ai mangé que des salades et des pâtes nature.

Utrolig koselig hotell med hjemmekoselig gresk stemning.Deilig god mat i all inklusive service. Sentralt, gangavstand til fire badestrender,og kort vei til sentrum. Litt lite basseng,men fint for barna å plaske litt rundt i. Sist vil jeg nevne det utrolig koselige personalet som gjør alt for at du skal ha ett flott opphold, takk spesielt til stavrola, sofia og giorgos, for tre flotte ferie uker for meg og min familie nå i september, will be back..!

Hjemmekoselig hotell
Utrolig hyggelig hotell, med en hjemmekoselig stemning. Hyggelig betjening som smiler og småprater med alle. Bra beliggenhet, kort vei til alt, både strender, handle sentrum, restauranter og tavernaer. God mat i alt inkludert service, her er det bare å spise seg gjennom ferien med bugnende bufe, og de ansatte som gjør alt de kan for at du skal få et hyggelig måltid. Rolig og avslappende, familie stemning, ikke plaget av bråk og festing. Her var det godt å være, og vi kommer tilbake neste år!

Отличный небольшой уютный отель на берегу моря архитектуры 60-х. Отдыхали самостоятельно по системе всё включено в начале июля 2012 со взрослыми детьми в двух номерах. Номера оборудованы полноценными кухнями и просторными лоджиями. Хотя 4-х этажные здания и старые, но ухоженные и оборудованы лифтами. Питание очень хорошее и разнообразное от профессионального повара-грека, напитки качественные. Персонал гостеприимный и радушный. Бухта пляжа естественно прикрыта от шторма, но продувается освежающим бризом. Минусы: Городской песочный пляж рядом с отелем в Agios Nikolaos маленький и грязный.

vi bor pa vestkanten av Kreta og dro til til dette hotellet for a oppleve ostkanten. " en liten road trip" kjempe hyggelige folk som jobbet der og midt i byen med sjo utsikt. Kunne ikke bli bedre!
