Lovely stay at Zante Calinica hotel! Great location, lovely staff and breakfast. Room nice and clean, comfy bed and good shower - also had the luxury of the private pool which was great and really well maintained! Highly recommend 🙏

On the plus side the towels were changed every day and the bed linen frequently. On the other hand the TV was useless and it was 8 days before it was attended to (unsuccessfully) and we had a problem with the glass door to the balcony which also took eight days to be attended to. We also had no waste bin under the sink, just the one in the bathroom for used toilet paper - not good at all for the price which was over £1,000 for 14 nights. Very over-priced.

Great Hotel, Great Family 5 Stars!
The Family that owns this Hotel could not do enough. I could not go on holiday until later in the week but my wife children and mother were really looked after. They continue to improve and update the hotel until compared with others nearby it is luxury. Also it has the advantage of being less noisy and more exclusive because of its room size. We had a nice family room my mother a great double. For her wedding preparation and first couple of nights a niece booked a room with the private dip pool so it catered for all. Finally when my mother wanted to book a Taxi (due to walking problems) to a nearby taverna the owners son said he would take her there. A caring family that always do their best for their guests.

Lovely clean hotel run by a brilliant family
My husband & myself stayed at this hotel for first 2 weeks in September and would definitely recommend it The hotel & rooms are cleaned to a high standard. It is ideally situated very peaceful but also close to all amenities. The family who run the hotel were brilliant nothing is too much trouble for them and they are so happy & cheerful. If I had to pick a fault it would be the breakfast could have been better more fresh fruit better choice of cereals and bread rolls as I am not a cooked breakfast person,

Not very hospitable
First of all, there is signag (for the parking or the hotel). When I asked if we were in the right hotel- a young girl was very rude in answering (her attitude was arrogant throughout our stay). When asked about parking she described the first driveway we took that a broken down car and trash next to it. Didn’t feel very self. No WiFi, Hot water ran out on our second day. Will not be staying there again.

It's not the first time we come to Zante, but the first time to stay at Calinica! Accessible, near Tsilivi but far from the noisy centre, suitable for calm and relaxing holidays. Family owned business, with warm-hearted people, willing to accomodate you any time. Clean, rooms with beautiful view and a quiet swimming pool. We have felt like we have known the family for years, especially we loved their youngest daughter STAVROULA who is the heart of the family!! Thank you for all you have provided for us! Surely we come back!!

We arrived mid afternoon and were warmly greeted by our hotel hosts. Shortly after, we were shown to our room. Our room was nicely decorated, clean and spacious, with a balcony. There was plenty of cupboard space, a small kitchenette and modest but satisfactory bathroom. Essentially, there was a working air conditioning unit. Our rooms were cleaned each day, with fresh towels provided. Breakfast each day included the essentials, e.g. eggs (boiled and omelette), cold meats, cheese, savoury and sweet crepes, fresh fruit, sweet and savoury breads, with jams etc. all on a buffet self-service style breakfast. The pool area was quiet and peaceful throughout our stay (although we spent most of our time at the beach) and reception was always occupied so that drinks and snacks could be bought. We hired a car for a day during a stay and this was all organised through the reception. This was a friendly, family-run hotel with an informal and relaxed feel. The hotel is a short walk from the beach and close to many excellent tavernas, bars and supermarkets. If you want to experience Zante, the warmth, friendliness and simplicity that the island has to offer, this is the hotel for you. If and when I return to Zakynthos, I will re-book to stay at the Zante Calinica. Thank you for helping to make my holiday so wonderful!

Dishonest & Deceptive - Avoid
We booked this hotel based on the positive reviews & should have paid more attention to the negative ones. I'm sorry if this is long, but people need to know, as we have been in the travel industry for over 35 years & have travelled the world. My husband and I are also of Greek heritage and speak the language -Could not find hotel, no signs from street. Hotel sign is after you enter property -Main part of hotel is tired & run down. Pictures on website may have been from previous years. -Could not locate front desk, no signs to show entrance. Maid had to show us where it was, then thought we were entering a basement -No one attending front desk, no signs behind the front desk (just a dirty plate with some left over food that was still there the next morning). -Itinerary stated check in time at 1:30pm, teenage girl that begrudgingly assisted us & us check in is at 2:30pm. When challenged, response was room was not ready & to come back after 2:30pm and walked away. Decided to have lunch & meet up with friends who lived on the island & returned at 5:30pm. We booked "Exlusive Suite" according to hotel description given to Orbitz. Also rate shown in USD, our confirmation showed same amount in Euros. -Owner took us to our room, which was in a detached building down the hill & across the street. -Owner told us and showed us this part of hotel was still under construction & we were the first ones (only ones there that night) -We walked through a construction zone

Quiet family run hotel
The hotel is very peaceful and quiet. There is plenty of sunbeds to use. The family who run the hotel are very helpful. The pool is a good enough size. The maids clean your room every day and it is spotless. Me and my husband wanted a nice relaxing holiday and that's what we got at the Zante Callinica

Good hotel
My boyfriend and I stayed here for a week. The rooms are well kept - they're are cleaned everyday and you're given a fresh set of towels. There was a decent sized fridge and a small area for preparing food. The breakfast was fine - bacon, eggs, cereal etc. Staff were friendly, the pool was nice and the wifi worked fine for us, even in our room. The hotel is in a good location; a few minutes walk from the beach and not too far from the centre of tsilivi.

Nice small family run hotel in a quiet location only 10min walk to the bars and restaurants of tsilivi. Very clean, nice buffet breakfast for 5 euro if room only. Lovely owner.

Very Disappointing Experience
I was very excited, looking forward to our stay at the Zante Calinica Hotel. We made the reservation based on the positive reviews posted online. It is difficult to understand how they received so may positive reviews. This is a family owned hotel run by a mildly disagreeable couple. It was difficult to find and, when we got there, there was no sign indicating where check-in might be. My room was simple, clean, but very small. The room was about 8'x10' and the bathroom was barely 3'x3'. No phone in the room. No bath soap. Towels were very clean, but were like sandpaper. We had much better experiences in the 3 other hotels that we booked while in Greece. We would not return, nor can I recommend this hotel.

Felt bamboozled after 'room upgrade'
First impressions of the hotel on arrival were good; however, when the hotel manager asked us whether we'd want a room with a little kitchenette and we happily said yes, he took us over to the hotel next door (we had to climb over a wall to get there!) and gave us a room there. Although it was tidy and had fridge, small kitchen workspace and a few old dishes+cutlery, the room looked (obviously) nothing like on the pictures we had seen online, with really bare interior and a very uncomfortable mattress/bed. We didn't feel like we got an 'upgrade' there at all and felt bamboozled!

Great quiet location ideal if you want to be of the Main Street but within 5 minutes walk of the resort centre. Can't fault the room or the hotel pool extremely clean and what can you say about the owners what a lovely family would recommend the hotel to anyone and would definitely return.

Room cannot be faulted. Clean and spacious and lovely view. Would be ideal for quiet business trip. Pool v shallow and small so did not use facilities and used excellent pool and facilities next door at hotel callinca where staff v welcoming and ideal for kids. This place is not. Family who run it very poor English and no pool bar food and drinks served from their kitchen. Very unimpressed yet could not fault next door. Confusion over asking me for invoice when we left and we had already paid. Surprised other reviews did not mention slope!!

Lovely hotel, made for a brilliant holiday
The Zante Calinica is situated about a 1 minute walk from the first supermarket, and 5 minutes from some restaurants/bars. If you want to reach the main part of the strip, it takes around 15-20 minutes of walking. It is also close to a small beach, which in our opinion was actually better than the larger beach (mainly because it had a pool that is open to all, which is nice to use when you've had enough of the beach). The hotel has around 20 apartments, and the one we stayed in (double room) was fantastic. the bed was large, and there was aircon and a safe provided at no extra cost. The bathroom was impressive as it had a bath/shower, which is not that common in some Greek hotels. The hotel is family run, and the family are incredibly accommodating and friendly. They will make sure you have a nice stay. They had no problem with cooking us breakfast, or calling taxis for us, and ensured we had clean bedsheets every day. The hotel pool is very nice, it was empty on a number of days, meaning that we had the pool to ourselves, which was a nice experience.

Lovely quiet hotel, away from crowds.
Small family run Hotel, easy walk to the main part of town. Right opposite the water park. Rooms are newly refurbished with good aircon and wifi. Lovely pool and sunbathing area, was fairly quiet when we visited in June. Really helpful staff. We will be returning.

Stayed here with friends, had a great, relaxing week. The family who run it are so friendly and helpful with recommendations on things to do and see on the island. The hotel is very comfortable, rooms cleaned regularly, it's in a good location near lovely tavernas, bars, shops and the beach. Was a perfect stay and wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Warm welcome from this family run hotel. Peaceful location, yet close proximity to town and beach. Hotel met all needs, with simple, caring attention and no fuss. Exceptional standard of attention to daily refreshing of towels and room care. Extremely good value for money. Abundance of restaurants and bars in the town for somewhere different to eat every day. Far enough away to be undisturbed for peaceful days and/or nights. Ample space around pool and maintained daily. No request was too much trouble for the owners to oblige with the necessary information. Relaxed and informal.

Ottima posizione a Tsilivi, vicino a tutto, ottimo per girare l'isola. Piscina dalle 6 del pomeriggio all'ombra. Non posso descrivere la colazione non avendola inclusa nella camera. Camera vista piscina spaziosa e pulita giornalmente, cambio asciugamani giornaliero, bel terrazzino, bagno comodo a parte il lavandino, ma nulla di grave. Una nota a sfavore: lenzuola e federe non vengono cambiate, noi ci siamo trovati a doverle gettare a terra per farle cambiare per il solo motivo che si erano sporcate.. la sorpresa è stata tornare la sera e ritrovare lo stesso lenzuolo di nuovo sul letto e le stesse federe sporche rimesse ai cuscini! Mai successo! Alla richiesta al proprietario di darmi lenzuoli puliti, mi è stato risposto che ormai era tardi e che non hanno biancheria pulita presso la struttura. Devo dire che oltre questa pecca il proprietario è sempre stato gentile e disponibile, così come tutti gli altri ragazzi (della famiglia credo) che ci lavorano. Qualità/prezzo consigliato.

Greit nok hvis man kun skal benytte rommet til å sove på. Kun drevet av familie, hvor far, mor og datter gjorde alt som var nødvendig. Mye støy fra aircondition. Da det var forholdsvis varmt måtte denne benyttes. Trådløst nettverk virket ikke på rommet. Ca. 10min gange til strand, kortere til spisesteder og supermarked. Det var også supermarked ved hotellet, men her var det dårlig vareutvalg, men de hadde vann, brus og øl.

Exotic Visit at Zakynthos!!!
We Spend 8 lovely nights at the Zante Calinica Apart Hotel..It was something different! With the exotic banana trees and the palm trees its like you are at an exotic beach! Zante Calinica located in a perfect spot in Tsilivi,Zakynthos and its a perfect place to stay and relax at! The Perfect Breakfast and the foods that they serve at their restaurant was lovely and huge plates! Except that the clean was perfect as it can be! Very friendly family business! I reccomend this Hotel a million times Thanks a lot Zante Calinica!
