Its a very nice but older hotel. The staff was very nice and had pretty good english. I think it would have been nice to have complementary water in the room and maybe some instructions about thevtv streaming and the AC. I think the price was great, the breakfast included quite basic and maybe they could negotiate a bit of fruit into it but it was served fast and coffee was good. I liked the area close to many restaurant options but maybe someone would think it too far from the malecon. Id stay again for any airport trip, its quite close to the salinas guayaquil van shuttle tho not as vlose as the ramada.

We stay at this hotel whenever we are flying out of Guayaquil and also on our return. This is useful to us in easing the stress of travel. Our stay is always pleasant and restful.

Ok one night stay
It was a good stay for only one night. Not the best neighborhood, but close to the Malecon. The beds were very hard.

We are repeat guests as we stay here on our way to and from the airport for a pre and post flight break. Property is in downtown Guayaquil in "the heart of the city" as they so proudly state. It is convenient to the airport, the Malecon and the Air Tran. We find the hotel convenient and feel safe walking around the city. The staff are always courteous and helpful.

Overall , It is a great place to stay for holidays. However, I think it’s not convenient for business trips . 1. No ironing-board. 2. No a restaurant to have dinner or a drink 3. Breakfast is served at 7.30 ( too late) and no many options. 4. Poor internet signal.

Clean and safe, centrally located. Good value compared to adjacent options. Staff is professional and eager to accommodate. My request to change rooms due to noise was quickly honored. The front desk was also happy to provide extra blankets. A/C works well as does the hot water. Special thanks to Jackeline. She was always quick to greet with a smile and made herself available to patiently answer questions. She was friendly and efficient and takes her job seriously. She went out of her way to arrange cheap transport to Cuenca. She is knowledgeable and helpful. This hotel is my first choice when staying in central Guayaquil for logistics and overall value.

El peor hotel que jamás me había hospedado , no había agua caliente para bañarse y el aire acondicionado no enfriaba bien, además el desayuno siempre era el mismo todas las mañanas , Un desastre total.

I like the location, it is in the center of Guayaquil and near to the main attractions like Malecón as well as close to a lot of options to eat and have fun. The only drawback is the hotel does not have its own parking, but there are one just after the corner so it was not a big deal. The provided breakfast (4 different options) was really good! It is clean, nice AC, and friendly staff, I would recommend it!

Clean and quiet
We were just needing a place to sleep for the night before flying out the next morning and this place was perfect for that. I had prearranged with the hotel for transfer both to and from the hotel and when we were done getting our luggage we were promptly greeted by a driver who took us straight to the hotel. The hotel was clean and amazingly quiet being that our room faced a street that was quite busy in the morning. The air conditioner worked great and the room was clean. There were a few quirks but nothing that ruined our stay: the light in the hallway was very blinky which felt a bit odd but we survived, and the elevator was tiny which wouldn't have been a problem until the bag handler insisted on getting in with us and carrying our luggage to our room even though we were quite capable. Breakfast was included but I can't speak to that because we slept as long as we could and then headed to the airport.

Location was excellent, very classy place, marble floors, the Caferia and breakfast was great and the staff was great. Very helpful and very friendly. I highly recommended the hotel Las Penas!

A nice hotel, close to restaurants, shopping, parks including the Malecon along the water, markets. The floor could have been a bit cleaner. The main problem was that the air conditioner was either on or off with no temperature setting, so at night it was either very cold or you got out of bed and flip the switch to off and it would get very stuffy - no happy medium. The included breakfast was at a very nice restaurant next door.

Thought the staff was friendly and helpful. We asked about a frige for our room and they brought one up immediately. Room was clean, smelled a little stuffy, but didnt smell moldy which is a problem in other hotels. A/C came out from vent in ceiling. Either on or off. Off means your room is warm, On means your room is cold! Beds were hard...
