We stayed 2 nights at the Comfort Hotel, which is only a few minutes walk from Hamamatsu Station. The lobby and lounge area are bright and spacious. Check-in was efficient, and the reception staff was professional and friendly. We took Standard Twin rooms, and there was ample space even with 2 pieces of luggage per person. Room and bathroom both very clean. The beds, pillows, and sleepwear were very comfortable. The spacious desk and numerous USB charging ports were very helpful. Used the self-serve laundromat , which was clean, easy to use, and efficient. Good breakfast with sufficient choice. Will recommend without reservation.

Reasonable hotel near Hamamatsu
Room was clean and service was efficient. Location is a short walk from Hamamatsu station. Hotel had enough staff. Room was small, like a typical Japanese business hotel, but a bit larger, and so was the desk space. Breakfast was similar to the common US hotel breakfast (low cost, low maintenance), but it was managed much better and the staff maintained it very well even though it was very crowded. Overall, this is a good value for the price.

Small room but good hotel
The room was small(Japanese size) but it was clean. Staffs were very kind and helpful. They always greeted me and tried to help. Breakfast was good. It was buffet style and scrambled eggs, sausage, chicken satay, serials, smoothies, boiled eggs, yogurt, fruits, salads, rice, bread and soup so it was good variety. I stayed 11 nights so the menu wasn’t changed much but the taste was good. One thing I didn’t like was the soap(conditioner, shampoo and body soap) in the room wasn’t good quality. Accessibility to the Hamamatsu station was excellent and the convenience store(7 eleven) was just 2-3 minutes walking distance so the location was very convenient. Although the room was small, I’m satisfied with my stay.

Very near to Hamamatsu Station...
It was very convenient for me because the hotel is very near the train station, it’s vital for me since I need I need to catch up an early bullet train ride to my other destination. The room was neat and the bed was spacious ( double ) enough for me. The only negative I can say is that it’s breakfast does not have too much of a choices to make...but it’s still ok.

Adequate rooms for short stay (rather small). Couldn't get a room to accommodate 3 persons so had to reserved 2 rooms. Close to train station and city bus hub.

Great location near the train station.
Location is prime. Breakfast is adequate for westerners compared to typical western style breakfast in Japan. For the price of the room compared to Okura, it is worth it. Good for business travel.

Serving the purpose
The room and washroom is small but clean. Free breakfast and facility with washing and drying machines offset the humble environment. The hotel is close to the railway station. Hamamatsu is a city of music. There is concert at the square by the JR Station on Saturday afternoon. Yamaha Music Museum is half a block away.

I was one week on business trip; arrived with train (Shinkansen from Tokyo), found hotel without problems; small room but everything I needed: work-space, free internet connection, etc.; free breakfast buffet includes Japanese as well as American style potatoes, eggs, sausages; excellent fresh coffee/espresso and free water, juice, coffee again after 3pm; visited customers w/ taxi: either walked to train station or called to the hotel (hotel staff helped to explain address to taxi driver); in the evening, walking distance to many restaurants, bars; also 10min walk to Act City/Okura hotel; all-in-all very pleasant experience and great value!

We stayed for a night to visit friends, location is walking distance from Hamamatsu station. Relatively clean room, but very small for 2 people, we didn't unpack, so pretty much usedifferent what we had on, breakfast was nice varietis of eastern and western foods. we were told the check out time is 11 am, but received a phone call around 10:30 am that check out time is 10 am instead, by the time we got to the lobby was 11 am, so hotel charged us 1500 Japanese yen equal to about $14 !!! For only an hour extra so it equaled to double the rate we paid daily. Staff were some what polite, but we were told to leave the breakfast area right at 10 am, felt more military than pleasure stay, I think cultural differences. All in all ir is a reasonable business hotel, equal to American motel.

Good stopover
We were only there for one night between resort stays in Atami and Nagoya. We were able to see the castle, the Flower Park and the Musical Instruments Museum The hotel was very conveniently located next to the train station. Breakfast was included.

This was the best breakfast we had during our two-week family vacation throughout Japan. Our family is vegetarian, and breakfast options have been in short supply, but this hotel had many. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

This isn't a fancy hotel, but it's clean and comfortable. If you want to spend 3-5 times as much, stay at the Okura. Otherwise, most Americans will find this a better choice than comparably priced hotels in Hamamatsu.

Perfect location
Excellent location. Within 5 minutes of Hamamatsu Station. Excellent for sightseeing or business in the city. The room was very clean, the breakfast was good, and the staff was great. Not great English, but they really go out of their way to help you with anything you need. Can't beat it for the price.

Great complimentary breakfast and afternoon drink service. Centrally located next to the station and all buses (essential for travel in Hamamatsu). Would definitely recommend for budget travelers.

excellent location, value for money but...
hotel is a very convenient location from the JR station, 5 min walk from station, easy to locate. It has all the nice amenities ie free wireless access in the lobby & room, free breakfast, unlimited drinks/coffee, clean. However, reality sets in when we try to sleep. The duvet was very uncomfortable, felt like plastic. It traps the body moisture, it doesn't "breathe". As a result, we didn't have a good night sleep esp when it was winter. Very cold but we have to keep tossing & turning in bed & keep throwing on & off the duvet. It was a shame. It was such a lovely, value for money hotel.

As the name as the hotel
it might be small room, but it's very clean! No wonder the name is comfort. Breakfast is good. Just say that Hamamatsu is a small town, no crowded. But we can find shopping centre by walking about 10minutes.
