This charming cottage, tucked away in a quiet, centralized neighborhood, has well-designed interior functionality, providing the comfort & amenities you'll need while in town. The bedroom area has 2 queens & a set of twin bunks to accommodate single guests or a small family. The bathroom is clean & updated. The cozy living room provides additional seating/sleeping options & a dining table/workspace. It has a full kitchen & private on-site laundry area as well! *See below for more important info!

The space
Tucked behind the main house, the entire detached unit will be yours to enjoy, along with its own back deck and a shared front courtyard area with a fire feature. The space is well laid out for a quick stay in town or a long term stay for just a few people. You have every amenity you'd need in this charming, quiet hideaway just seconds away from Hardy Street. The main house functions as other Airbnb units, but Chandelier Cottage is completely detached giving you the space and privacy you desire when visiting the Hub City.

Guest access
You will park in the gravel parking area on the side of the detached unit in the back. You have quick access to Hardy Street and are close to all the local Hattiesburg staples for dining and entertainment!

Upon reserving the cottage, we were not able contact the host nor was VRBO. We contacted the host about the property having a broken couch arm, broken flooring under the tiles like it may of been rotten and the beds were not sturdy enough for two adults per bed, and wouldn’t check security footage when we reported hearing noises around the property. Instead of providing a refund initially, he only offered to try to find another location before end of stay. We were so uncomfortable we left after the second day of our 4 day trip .

We came with our 2 college aged children. My sister and her family stayed in one of the houses nearby (connected by a courtyard). It served the purpose of medical ha place to stay. I find it hard to believe it can sleep 8. The top bunk bed doesn’t have a real mattress. It’s just a mattress pad on top of a wooden plank. The other beds were comfortable so I would say it sleeps 5. Very safe neighborhood and close to usm

Inadequate heating for winter weather. Temperature in unit never got above 60 with the heating unit constantly running. Flooring was rotted/broken floor tiles that could be a safety hazard Bath water was brown Bath towels were stained We followed check out procedures but we left after 1 night.

Great stay
The bedroom is very spacious and comfy! We stayed with 2 large dogs and had plenty of room. There’s a little outside area out back that they enjoyed running around. The owner was very sweet.
