This adorable riverside home on the Chestatee is just minutes from historic downtown Dahlonega, wineries and wedding venues. Only 7 miles from GA 400, the location is central to everything you would want to do and see. Enjoy the scenery and wildlife from the large covered deck, rain or shine. You can hear the peaceful sound of nearby rapids from the deck. Songbirds, as well as duck, blue herons, deer and the elusive river otter make an appearance from time to time. No Smoking Indoors, NO Pets & NO Parties or Events.

Chestatee River Cabin
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It was so clean and the amenities were great... plenty of towels, soaps, detergents, etc. All the essentials were provided. The creekside setting was so peaceful. We would love to return to this cabin as a base to explore the area further.

Second time here, can’t wait to come again!
We love this place so much! Everything about it allows for a relaxing, restful time (from the river, to the great back porch, to the cozy cabin feel) which is exactly what we had. Having the river right in the backyard is a treasure. We got to see a bald eagle and a blue heron, which was fun. It’s also convenient in that it’s only a short drive away from downtown Dahlonega. Plus, Bruce is a great host! We truly look forward to coming back!!

Excellent cabin!
The cabin was perfect, clean and had everything you need. The location was perfect, the host was friendly and helpful, and it was the perfect weekend for three childhood friends to get together and catch up after 40 years! We will be back! Great experience and absolutely beautiful location!

This is the second year we’ve stayed at this home. It’s a beautiful calm spot on the Chestatee. They added stairs which making getting to the river a breeze. The house is nice and great for two couple or small family due to separate bathrooms. The hosts are super helpful and love the area.

It's obvious they spend a lot of time manicuring and updating the property because it is very clean, beautiful and decorated very nicely to give you that "quaint, remote cabin on the river" feel. Fabulous River House
Bruce and Lisa were fantastic host. The house was the perfect size for my wife and I. Easy access into the home from the driveway. Great sitting area to watch the water rising in the river from the back porch. Rained most of the time we were there but we didn’t mind, such a great place to energize and relax. Next trip to Dahlonega will find us booking here again.

Perfect cabin in the the woods!
The cabin is a great place for 1-2 couples to stay, relax and enjoy the North Georgia mountains. Its peaceful setting on the river is beautiful, and we thoroughly enjoyed having a fire in the outdoor fire pit to enjoy the evening stars. The house was very clean and contained everything we needed. We've rented this cabin twice and will not hesitate to rent it again.

Bruce was a great host. Met us at our arrival and gave us some history of the area. The house was very neat and clean. It was even decorated for Christmas. My husband commented that they had the most informative visitor information book that we have seen in other VRBOs. We would want to stay in this home again if we are back in the area.

Beautiful cabin and setting
The cabin was very clean and thoughtfully decorated. Our host tried to anticipate our needs right down to beer steins in the freezer. The beds are comfortable and the view from the back deck is amazing. My only regret was that it rained the one evening we could have enjoyed the fire pit by the water.

Everything you want it to be
This property was so clean and well maintained. It had everything you needed for a pleasant stay. The owner was very helpful and easy to communicate with. They made us feel like they were there to support us any way they could. The property was a beautiful setting right on the river. Right on the river was seating and a fire pit to enjoy the area. Across the back is a beautiful porch to enjoy the river and wildlife. It was a great location to all in that area and easy to get to the property

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Bruce met us upon arrival and made us feel right at home. He answered questions and provided info for places to eat and visit. Amenities provided were excellent. Location is central to all things to do in and around Dahlonega. Highly recommend this listing to anyone visiting North Georgia and hope to be able to stay here again.
