Fabulous Property
I have rented a lot of VBRO properties and I will have to say this is one of the best ones I have rented. Property was clean, house booklet contained information that answered all our questions, and the bedrooms were spacious. An added plus was the binoculars and telescope to look at moon and sun.

Our second trip
My adult children and grandchildren joined my husband and I for 3 nights for a holiday trip. This was our second visit to this beautiful cabin and it was definitely enjoyed by everyone. The view is spectacular at this house and very easy to get to compared to so many other places we have stayed in the mountains. Everything about about this house is comfortable and cozy and just feels like home. Kitchen is well equipped and the nice quality linens and comfortable beds are such an added bonus. We have one year old and two year old grandsons and the stairs are not ideal for this age but we knew the house and brought baby gates so that is my only tip if you are traveling with littles. Jim is great and responds quickly to any messages. Highly recommended!

What a view!

Beautiful Fall Getaway
This property was absolutely beautiful! We stayed in late October and the colors on the trees were amazing. The weather was perfect. We most enjoyed sitting out on the porch and just taking in the beauty. The beds were very comfortable. We totally enjoyed ourselves and would highly recommend this property. Nestled amidst the serene surroundings of the Blue Ridge Parkway, this cabin offered us a unique opportunity to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and immerse ourselves in nature's tranquility. The moment we stepped inside, we were greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere, with cozy furnishings and charming decor that perfectly complement the rustic ambiance. What truly sets this cabin apart is its breathtaking view. From the large windows and spacious deck, we enjoyed you panoramic views of rolling hills and Pilot Mountain. We spent lots of time enjoying the deck and view that left in awe. The cabin itself offered all the modern amenities one would expect, ensuring a comfortable and convenient stay. With a fully equipped kitchen, comfortable bedrooms, and a cozy living area complete with a fireplace, we had everything we needed to relax and unwind. We are already planning our trip back here next year.

Property was everything described! Well equipped with the most amazing view. Our only issue was that we were expected to put sheets on the beds. A heads up would have been nice, as we stayed up late catching up on old times, only to realize at bedtime, the sheets were not on the beds.

Stunning House with Amazing Views
Communication with Jim was excellent from day zero. We arrived at this beautiful house on a foggy and rainy day, and Jim made sure we made it safe to the property. This house was more than spacious for my family of six, everyone had their own space. My husband and daughters enjoyed the hot tub. We walked as a family around the neighborhood and people were very friendly. We were able to visit some of the local shops and antiques places (which I enjoyed very much!). Brought home so many goodies. We also drove one day to the Appalachian Gem and Gold Mine and had a fun morning with the kids finding cool rocks, then followed the day with lunch and more antiquing. We also visited Mabry Mill and we highly recommend this place if you are in the area. I wish I could post pictures. It was a pleasant walk and enjoyed the cultural demonstrations at the mill. We spent our nights playing board games with our teenage daughters, so thank you for the game options! We truly enjoyed this place. Thank you for everything!

The view is every bit as spectacular as the photos
The house is perched on the edge of Groundhog Mountain and has an astonishing view of North Carolina from the back deck and hot tub. Our group divided our time between hanging out on the back deck and nice golf at Olde Mill about 15 minutes away. We'll be returning next summer.

Amazing place!
This beautiful cabin had basically everything we needed with plenty of space for all eleven of us. The beds were very comfortable. The best thing about this place is it has the most awesome, beautiful view of any place my family and I have ever stayed. Good family memories were made here and I look forward to coming back someday to relax on the back porch while watching and listening to the birds with the most amazing view of the mountains. We saw many deer around the neighborhood during our stay. It's so quiet and serene here. I can't recommend this place enough!

Amazing cabin in the mountains!
We’ve just returned from the cabin and it was great. We are an extended family of 8 and there’s was plenty of room for us all. The balcony has amazing views over the valley; the hot tub was a glorious way to end the day; and all the communal spaces offered plenty of places to spend time together. The house was stocked with everything we needed and was spotlessly clean when we arrived. You really can’t do better.

Great Christmas at the Cabin
We really loved our yearly cabin getaway for Christmas this year. This place was truly awesome. The cabin location was into the woods and up the mountain, literally. We gathered 4 small families in this trip with plenty of space. The cabin is gorgeous and the view was amazing, especially while soaking in the jacuzzi. Rooms were spacious. The 2 living rooms were great for entertainment. All in all we were very satisfied with the location and trip. We had a very memorable Christmas this year. A few things I did not like. The trash removal process was annoying. You have to take the trash down the road to a dump. They do provide a temporary location in the house outside, but the lock was frozen on our stay. Having to set your own linens after a long road trip seems tideous. The cleanliness of the cabin could have been better. Lastly, Jim was great. He went above and beyond. Always had a quick reply and helped us in any way he could.

I would definitely recommend this property. The house itself and views were amazing (once the morning fog rolled out.) As long as you don’t mind driving a half hour for any extra activities, it’s perfect. Definitely get there while it’s still light out, because the road in is dark and winding, but directions are easy to follow.

Absolutely perfect! The house is a beautiful log cabin finished with knotty pine interior. Large bedrooms and plenty of bathrooms. The views from the decks are stunning. Lots of space for entertainment and 3 large TVs. There is nothing negative I can say about the house.

We had a fantastic time. The place was great as advertised.
We are avid motorcyclists and the access was great to the parkway. Great little towns along the way and the friendliest people you could ever hope to meet. The evening view was fantastic and the owner was a pleasure to deal with. We had the opportunity to meet the cleaning crew and they were a wealth of knowledge of the area and a pleasure to talk with. It was an all around great experience. We would all highly recommend.

we really enjoyed our trip to this home! the view is breathtaking!! it was a bit more remote than we were thinking, but we were able to find hikes and things to do 30-60 minutes from the house. our family that stayed on the lower level had some visitors from various insects, but we expected it practically being in the woods. the hospitality of the owners and home was great, they are responsive when needed, and the check in and check out process was simple. overall highly recommend!

Hidden gem with an unforgettable view
This property is amazing! And the view……no words….you have to experience it for yourself!! It has everything that you need with the added touches that you don’t expect! Relaxing Escape
The cabin is exactly as pictured with a phenomenal view. We spent most of our time relaxing and socializing on the deck. Even though temps were in the 90's, it was still breezy. Our teens loved having the basement space to themselves. Kitchen was well stocked with necessities but lacked ample counter space for prepping meals. The cabin had extra amenities like cozy throws, games, fan-sound machines, tissues, full-length mirrors, luggage racks in a couple rooms and plenty of pillows. The location is very remote but still part of a friendly neighborhood with houses closeby. We took walks exploring the area. No wooded trails. The cabin doesn't have much yard space but we were able to set up corn-hole in the breeze-way still. We didn't leave much since we were there to visit with family. Most attractions are almost an hour away. The shops at the Bluegrass Parkway entrance were cute with a good deli included. Our host was very attentive and helpful with all inquiries. They're blessed to share such a beautiful space us.
