Great Experience!
This was one of the most unique places I've ever stayed! Truly felt like you were in the trees. Perfect location! Super short walk to Harbour Town with shops and restaurants. The house was clean and well equipped kitchen and lots of towels and extra blankets. It was the perfect place to get away from Michigan's winter for a few days. The host was easy to communicate with and even messaged to let us know we could check in early with out me having to ask! Definitely will not regret your stay here!

This was our second time at this property and it was just the best. Everything on the inside and outside of this home is intentional and thoughtful—from the beach chairs, bikes, curtains with clips, toiletries, and kitchen supplies. It’s all there for you! Can’t wait for our third stay.

BEST PLACE EVER!
What a special place by Harbortown!!! This sea loft is luxury and special and just so sooo different to your normal condo or apartment or house on Hilton Head Island. It is a place you will never forget, won't want to leave and will take your breath away. This was our first time on Hilton Head and friends told us about Sea Pines in general and after a bit of hunting on VRBO I came across this place and just thought it had that something different, that something out of the ordinary appealed to us. The photos all show this and trust me it is even better in person ! Everything about it is just gorgeous. The furniture, decor, fixtures, bedding and colours are calming and sophisticated. GREAT STYLE taking in the nautical elements of HHI while still being classy. Everything was just perfect, beds comfortable, linens fantastic, bikes included and all you might want to use at the beach. And as a bonus you get a sunset view from the round umbrella table looking out over the water through the pines. We had our morning coffee/tea soaking in the sun and warmth overlooking the bridge in the rocking chairs. Our weather was a bit cooler being mid-March, perfect to bike on the many trails in Sea Pines, and sunny/warm enough to walk on beaches with a hoodie. We wanted to be surrounded by nature and this sea loft gives you exactly that. You are surrounded by it. We even saw deer in the evening right from the raised decks and fed them carrots as well as the horses at Lawton Stables. We also loved the Sea Pines Forest Preserve, Shelter Cove Waterwalk Park and Vetern's Memorial Park, and the Audoban Newhall Preserve . We enjoyed Salty Dog for lunch and a long walk on South Beach where we saw a dolphin. We were just so pleased with our choice of staying here. Kirk's communication was fantastic before and during our stay. We can't wait to go back. What a fantastic holiday from the winter in Ottawa, Canada. We have stayed in VRBOs all over the world over the last 15 years, and this is one of THE most special and memorable.

Great experience!
We had a great time at the Treehouse. We love the architecture and it was just right for two couples. We liked the short walk (5 min) to Harbourtown for dinner out yet the property is very private nestled in the trees on the edge of the salt marsh. Appreciate the bicycles (which were in very good condition) and all the up-to-date furnishings and appliances. As a final note, the owner was very responsive and communication was great. We look forward to staying again in the future!

Best house!
We loved everything about this place! The short walk into Harbour Town was so convenient. Our 4 year old and 11 month old loved the playground and lighthouse. The house is updated and the decor is so cute and cozy. Kirk, the owner was great at communicating with us. We already have it booked for the spring and we can’t wait to go back!

Amazing Home!!
HHI has been an annual trip for our family for over a decade! We usually rent a large, luxury home in either Sea Pines or Palmetto Dunes with another family. This year it was just our small family of 4 (2 adults, 2 kids-14 and 9) so we “downsized” or rental accommodations this year. Staying in this lovely treehouse certainly didn’t feel like we downsized! The furniture, the sleeping accommodations, linens and bedding were so high quality and, in many ways, better than some of the luxury rentals we’ve rented in years’ past. We LOVED the location of this home. It was so fabulous to hop on the bikes the owner provided and ride all over Sea Pines. My kids loved it! We love the Sea Pines Beach Club, and it is any easy drive with excellent parking. This home was so clean, and the owners have truly thought of everything you may need. I enjoyed the personalized service since the owner manages this property himself. So much better than dealing with the many large management companies for most homes on the island. I can't say enough what a wonderful and unique home this was; we want our own treehouse now!

Like staying at your favorite uncle and aunt’s house
We loved our stay here. Super clean, beautifully remodeled, tastefully decorated, nice dishes and cutlery (really appreciated that), and incredibly convenient, with a short, 3 minute walk to the best parts of Sea Pines (great playground, great restaurants, lighthouse). The owners are truly wonderful people. They have thought of every detail: games to play, umbrellas, flashlights, picnic basket, grill, bicycles, nice soap / shampoo / conditioner in the bathrooms, well stocked kitchen — really any and everything you could want or need. And they really went out of their way to make sure we had a nice stay. Lots of fantastic recommendations, and a fast, helpful answer to every question. You really get the sense they care about whether you have a nice vacation. They were especially kind about ensuring our young son knew about all the great things Hilton Head has to offer. Highly recommend, and without hesitation.

Stay in a treehouse with amenities!
Fabulous location right outside Harbor town yet feels like you are secluded on the marsh. Owner is very responsive & strives to provide everything you need. We especially enjoyed having bikes ready at the property so we didn’t need to rent. Would highly recommend this for a couples or small families.

The perfect spot to enjoy Sea Pines
We absolutely loved our stay. The house was so unique and beautifully furnished with everything you might need. The hosts were so friendly and helpful - lots of great restaurant recommendations. And the location! Deer Island is the perfect spot, tucked away but stillf near everything Sea Pines offers. We didn’t want to leave, and we will definitely be back!

Great break in a fabulous place.
Having not been able to travel outside of Canada for two years, this get away provided a much needed break from home and cold weather. The place was great and included everything we needed. We especially appreciated the bikes, the view and the proximity to Harbour Town. I also loved having a yoga mat available. Kirk and Pam were very helpful and responsive hosts. Thanks!

A wonderful stay at a unique home
My wife and I spent a week here and it was fantastic! We can’t say enough good things about the property or its hosts. The house is beautiful and within walking distance of Harbor Town. If you like to walk or ride bikes, as we do, this home is ideal. It is set in a very nice, quiet neighborhood. The home is very clean and is updated beautifully. The king sized bed was extremely comfortable. I personally loved the one person swing and the rocking chairs on the patio. Kirk was extremely helpful and readily available via text messaging. He offered some very useful information that made our stay just that much more enjoyable. I could go on but, suffice to say, this was one of our very top VRBO experiences.

Tree-mendous Lodging
This home is truly spectacular. Nestled in the trees on a quiet cul-de-sac within easy walking distance of Harbour Town shops, restaurants, lighthouse and pier. Floor to ceiling windows throughout with great views. Super clean and very well stocked. The hosts are extremely helpful, communicative and generous. This was our first stay on Hilton Head Island and we’ll be back. Sixty plus miles of paved, off-road biking/walking trails, ocean, golf, shopping, restaurants, horseback riding, forest preserve and more are within just a few minutes from the house.

I grew up on Hilton Head and the treehouses were considered “famous,” but I never stayed in one. Kirk and Pam’s home did NOT disappoint! The location in deer island gives both ocean and marsh views that are wonderful for morning coffee and evening chats. My husband and I fell in love with the unit itself as Kirk and Pam supplied everything you would need. You truly feel like you are at home; your home is just in THE PRIME SPOT to enjoy Sea Pines. Book it now; you won’t regret it!

So wonderful.
This is the perfect place to stay. My husband and I had so much fun riding bikes, enjoying the outdoor eating area, and spending time in the house. Everything we could have thought of was already there--beach chairs, bikes, cable, paper towels, cleaning supplies, K cups. You name it, it was there. The owner was especially gracious and was so easy to communicate with. We will stay here again for sure!

Cockroaches Devastated Our Vacation
The first two days went seemingly well and demonstrated that our selection of the Airy Treehouse was the right choice and validated all 5-star ratings were well deserved. The evening of our 2nd full day my son observed a cockroach entering the main bathroom only to disappear into the master bedroom where we were sleeping. Upon informing us we were in complete shock. We couldn't understand how or why this would happen, but we knew we could not stay in the property. The next morning, we informed the owner providing supporting evidence stating we would be vacating the property and requested a refund. The property owner’s initial response surprisingly offered no apology, empathy, or interest to correct the situation and seemed to downplay the situation stating that “Palmetto Bugs” are very common in the south and the property is treated monthly. He also informed us that we would need to seek a refund through VRBO. Because VRBO had already informed us during the reservation process no refund was possible after the final payment, it was not clear if or when we would even receive a refund. Prior to departure, while taking dirty linens to the basement we encountered other LARGE cockroaches at the entry to the basement and on the walls and floor confirming our suspicion where there is one there are more. We informed the property owner a second time with evidence and again requested a refund. We also stated that we intended to leave an honest review regarding our experience. In the two days following our early departure, the property owner did apologize and provided a partial refund. He also informed us the pest control company in fact DID NOT properly treat the property in more than two months during what has been a very wet and rainy summer. It is disturbing knowing we were staying in a property inhabited by cockroaches that were likely amongst us even the first two nights while we were sleeping but didn’t know it. It is unfortunate this occurred a result of the property owner not providing oversight to ensure the property is properly treated and prepared for guests. We were in the right place at the wrong time. While there is no way to fully repair the damage done to our vacation, we expect and hope the property owner and VRBO will do what's right and honorable and provide a full refund and take the steps needed to ensure this never again happens to any future families.

Hi Trevor, thanks for bringing these things to the owner's attention and this is what they had to say: "Trevor, we are very sorry you found a Palmetto bug in our home. We have the entire property sprayed monthly, as do most properties on Hilton Head. Unfortunately, Palmetto bugs are very common in the south and despite our best efforts, an occasional Palmetto bug may be encountered. We have had over 100 renters at our property and you were the first renter to have this experience. Guests can help by keeping the doors closed, especially during rain. I immediately contacted our pest control and they were out the same day to inspect and treat the property. Once again, I am sorry this happened and assure you that the problem was addressed. We are confident that future guests will rest easier and enjoy all of the wonderful amenities that our property has to offer."

This place is amazing. Clearly this has been a top to bottom renovation and no detail has been overlooked. Everything is brand new! Location is great and having four bikes for us to ride was awesome. Communication with the owner (both before the stay and during the stay) and the check-in process was exceptional. I have already recommended this place to my sister who checked it out herself -- and she will be renting it.

Tree-house Paradise
This home was everything my partner I wanted and more. Nestled in the quietness of Harbor Town we had a stay that was peaceful, and relaxing, mostly in part to the fact that owner of this property thought of everything, was easy to reach at all times, and completely informative! The place was spotless when we arrived and gorgeous a view from the deck alone is a selling point. Provided with four bikes makes everything so easy to get to. We used a car once to get grocery and get to the airport otherwise absolutely everything is bike-able, even the beach. The beach chairs are backpacks with coolers and pouches so your able to pack your needs and bike to the beach which is short ride from the house which is unique all in itself. Loved our stay and couldn't be more grateful forthe opportunity to stay.

Best location and accommodations!
This was my first time to HHI and I let my 13yr old bring a friend. This was a great place for us. So walkable and safe. The girls explored the island solo and we were walking distance to a five star restaurant. We also walked to an adorable little coffee shop and bakery each morning for breakfast! And finally the host was absolutely fantastic he answered my questions promptly and made some great suggestions. It's a must stay!

This property was recently remodeled top to floor with high quality fixtures and function. The decor is very tastefully done, cozy and relaxing. Very tech savvy! My husband and I had a wonderful stay in this clean, well equipped, and beautiful treehouse!! We were visiting our daughter who lives here. This place is a true find on the island! This place is so private but also so close to so many amenities including Harbortown shopping and restaurants! The owners were very easy to communicate with during our stay and always made sure we had everything we needed! This treehouse is absolutely gorgeous and is even better than the pictures, so clean and pristine! We have been renting in Sea Pines for over 20 years, and this cozy place was by far one of our favorites!! We didn’t know this little section of Sea Pines existed and the location and water views were wonderful and serene! We enjoyed the porch to have our morning coffee every morning, and the bikes that were provided to ride to breakfast and the beach! We will definitely stay here on another visit to the island and we will recommend this treehouse to friends and family!!

We had a great stay ! All the furnishings in this unit were exceptional from lighting, decor, appliances, to the bedding. Communication with the owner was a great experience. Location was optimal for playing golf on the island I would rent this unit again and again!
