Great time in Abaco
Comfortable, clean, everything we needed. We had a group of six visiting for a wedding and with all that Abaco has to offer just needed a place to get clean and rest our heads. That said, we still found ourselves enjoying the breeze on Second Wind's amazing deck. Susan and Clint (Caretakers/onsite management) were above all the best part of the experience, lovely people, great communication and even picked us up from the ferry. Thank you so much!

Weekend at Second Wind
We came in for a few days for a wedding. This little house was charming and very comfortable . Definitely will come back for a quick weekend . Caretaker Clint was very helpful , picked us up at ferry and took us back to ferry on the way out. He even arranged for a pick up at the airport! Thanks for the great service.

Loved the overall stay and location, the house is perfect for a family vacation. Close to Hopetown, walk to the beach in a minute, and several restaurants right around the house. The house is new, clean, and tastefully decorated. Great communication with host who was very helpful. Will be back!

Spring Break Respite
Absolutely a wonderful experience and great property for our family of five. This was our first trip to the Abacos and it is a trip we will always treasure. We are sad to leave but we are headed home feeling closer together as a family. Thank God!!!

Perfect get away!
The house was so clean, cozy, and quiet. We came to the island for a wedding, so the house became the perfect little retreat from the buzz of festivities. I will note that the wifi was not strong at all and went out completely for the last 3 days of our stay. Just wanted to bring that up because we had someone working from home in our group and they were hardly able to do so. If you need to have access to strong wifi or are planning on working during your stay, this might not be the spot for you.

Thank you for the kind review, I'm glad you all enjoyed your stay! I apologize for the wifi issue, this was the first time we've had guests encounter an issue with wifi and have since replaced the router so it's back to it's reliable, high speed. I hope to have you back!

Great place to stay
Communication with Megan leading to our visit was informative and helpful. Clint went above and beyond to meet our crew at the boat, load everything on his truck and help us move into our home for the week. Even provided locals staples for us to visit. The place was clean, nicely appointed and very comfortable. Had all the cooking supplies needed. Location was perfect. Walking distance to beach, coffee shop, convenience store and into Hopetown Harbor. Would highly recommend Second Wind to family and friends!! We will be back for sure! Thanks all!

Great Time in HopeTown!
The house was perfect! Kitchen appliances were brand new and the beds were comfortable. The showers had great water pressure and the location can’t be beat! Be sure to check out On Da Beach which is right down the walkway towards the beach! And grab the best oatmilk lattes across the street!

Property is in perfect shape, appears to be new construction and everything works as expected. Furniture and house wares are what you would expect in a high end unit. Keurig coffee maker, gas range, ample cooking utensils all in great shape. Location is centrally located between Hope Town and Sea Spray Marina, only a few minutes by golf cart to either destination.

Excellent getaway!
We enjoyed our stay at Second Wind! This is a great location central to everything. We had a quick trip to Hopetown for a wedding but we want to come back for longer next time. I wouldn’t hesitate to book this house again. I would have loved to have access to beach chairs is my only recommendation. Thanks for a great stay!

Second Wind was the perfect vacation home for our family on elbow cay!

Perfect Place
Second Wind was perfect for our family. It is conveniently located to LVA and Hope Town and only a short golf cart ride to all the island has to offer. The front porch is a great place to watch the sun and moon rise. Beautifully appointed, and the host was most helpful and courteous throughout our stay. We hope to come again!

Got our Second Wind!
This is a perfect location and a lovely beach house. The view from the porch is great and you can hear the surf! Steps to On Da Beach and a small grocery store just around the corner. Central location makes it easy to get anywhere on the island. Owners and property manager were great! Book it! Just remember if you want to hang out on the beach you’ll need to work out beach chairs and umbrella (as needed). We will definitely go back!

Great location
My wife and I were looking for a quick holiday getaway with our three young adult children and this property was perfect. Everything went smoothly, we loved watching the waves from the front porch, and On Da Beach (bar) was a quick few steps away. We biked all over the island and had a great time. Highly recommend for the right size group.

Great place!
The place was beautiful. The kitchen was well equipped. Everything we needed to cook fresh fish after a day on the water. The property manager was very responsive. Even helped us with our luggage and renting a golf cart. The home itself was clean, plenty of hot water for all 6 of us to never have a cold shower, walking distance to a great bar on the beach. It was a quiet area and felt very safe. I would 100% stay here again.

Very clean, well-equipped beach cottage which was the perfect size for 6 of us - parents and adult children with significant others. The pictures were great and it’s even better in person - amazing ocean views with nice breeze on the deck. Location was ideal with fully stocked grocery store and On Da Beach both just steps away. Definitely recommend a golf cart for trips to town, Firefly and Abaco Inn. We’d return in a heartbeat.

Perfect Getaway
Second Wind is a perfect getaway. The house is in great shape with everything you could possibly need for a memorable stay in the Abacos. There are 2 small groceries within walking distance and the beautiful beach in front of On Da Beach. If you stay over a Wednesday, you should plan to joim trivia night at On Da Beach.

Perfect vacation!
My husband and 3 adult kids stayed at Second Wind on Elbow Cay this past week! The house was perfect for the 5 of us! The indoor washer and dryer was a great help as we wanted to travel light. The rooms were spacious and clean. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking and barbecuing. The tap water was filtered too. The front porch was my favorite place to hang out. Megan was quick to respond to all of our questions and the caretaker Clint was easy to get a hold of. We loved every minute of our stay. Can’t wait to ho back!

Megan the home owner was an absolute dream to communicate with. She was super responsive and even helped with every question I had. The house Manager Clint was also beyond helpful with any questions, provisioning, and helping with our luggage. The home itself was very clean and bright and Megan has taken great care with every single detail. The home was very well stocked. If there was anything you needed LVA was a short 2 min walk around the corner. The generator was also fantastic and never missed a beat. The location is perfect on a quiet little side street (great for kids to play outside) but centrally located to everything you want to do on the island (Hope Town, Abaco Inn, Firefly, Tahiti Beach). On da Beach and beach access was just a short 2 min walk down the little side road as well which the kids had fun walking down to visit the beach as well. After an almost 2 week stay it truly felt Second Wind was like our own home. Our family can not wait to go back to Second Wind.

We loved our stay at Second Wind and found it to be the perfect home base for the week. A tropical depression came through at the end of the week and Megan was very flexible and accommodating when our flights were canceled. Would 100% stay here again!

This house is a great find. Centrally located between the ferry dock and Abaco Inn & Tahiti Beach. Convenience store around the corner with a 2 minute walk to bar/grill and beach access. Clean, comfortable and the second story porch is a dream. Can't think of anything the owner missed, its a win.

We had a great time stay at Second Wind. It was right in the middle of everything and a walk away from On Da Beach and the beach access. It’s got a perfect view of the sunrise each morning. The house was clean, new and cozy! It had everything we needed including shampoo and body washes. The showers were beautiful new tile and spacious. The generator kicks on a lot with the way things are on the island but I’m thankful there was one and we never got too hot!

Lovely property on convenient location
Second Wind was clean, bright, and comfortable. The location is within walking distance of the beach and several local restaurants and small convenience stores. This host accommodated us with checkin and departure times - when you are dependent upon a ferry to get to the airport, some flexibility in schedules is very helpful. We had on mishap while we were there and the caretaker was quick to help us out. We will be back to Elbow Cay, and Second Wind is on our favorites list!

Everything about our stay was incredible! The house was spacious and wonderfully appointed. Clean, comfy beds, great kitchen and the smart tvs were a nice touch. Great location to get to the beach and anything you need! Clint, the caretaker of the property was helpful and friendly and made us feel like family.

Second Wind -- Perfect Home
Perfect location -- beautiful house! Located midway between Hopetown and restaurants/snorkeling sights on the South side of the island. (A convenience store is 1 block away). Second Wind is not only immaculate inside and out -- but has the most beautiful views from the porch. We weren't sure how much we would be able to see of the water, but it was perfect at both sunrise and sunset. The owners (Megan and Matt) did a wonderful job restoring the home after Hurricane Dorian -- everything is new, professionally decorated, beds were comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. Perfect for a friends getaway or family vacation. They seem to have thought of everything. I truly felt like I was at home. Will definitely be back!

Meaghan was so helpful and answered all of our many questions and had great recommendations! We only had 4 ppl in our group but it could sleep more! Excellent experience staying at second wind!
