The bathroom door wouldn't close, there was paint missing at the bottom and top of the door, the soap holder in the shower was completely rusted out. they've added soap dispensers so why not remove the rusted out soap holder. The shower drain was clogged so the shower water pooled and spilled out onto the floor. I was happy to have a microwave and fridge as the food at the restaurant was basic at best. The front desk and house keeping staff were friendly and I enjoyed the ice water at the front lobby. The pool is much smaller than the pictures would indicate, and it's in the front of the hotel near the street. The beds were comfortable, but the headboards were scratched up. I did like that the hotel had an airport shuttle, the actual reason we chose it, but I had to take an Uber/Lyft to the airport as the shuttle was gone when I needed to leave for the airport. No big deal, but that was one of the strong points. The outlet mall is very close, but after all of the walking we did at the event we went to, I was too tired to walk over. It says the shuttle will take you local within 3 miles, but we never saw the shuttle when we were ready to head out. Uber/ Lyft to Downtown was @ $17-25. Sometimes they tried to be more, but if you have both apps, you can find the best pricing. We did have a good time in Charleston, but when we go back, we'll probably stay somewhere else.
