I called the staff at the Hyatt to let them know that the weekend was already paid for. Also to let them know that although Friday was paid for, we would arrive at a specific time on Saturday. They assured me that they would enter it into their system and that our room would be ready upon our arrival on Saturday. When I went to check in, staff made us very nervous and uncomfortable by stating that our “room service was cancelled, no one entered our arrival time and date, and no rooms were available.” That is a horrible display of customer service to put guests in a bind and feel such discomfort of uncertainty. While waiting through their error and confusion, other parties experienced the same screw up. It appears that this hotel overbooked and wasn’t honest with guest. My spouse had to come out of pocket and pay for our stay from Saturday-Sunday and we already paid for that weekend in advance. That was an inconvenience and shouldn’t have happened. We were very displeased and our room wasn’t ready until Saturday evening. Horrible horrible horrible. Learn and train on good customer service, how to accommodate and make guests feel secure and as is the problem on the hotels part will be corrected in a timely manner.
