Clean & cheap. Only issue was that we requested a handicap room 2 weeks beforehand & once we arrived they had them all rented out.

The property was run down, rust in the shower, TV digital reception was not watchable because it broke up so much. Breakfast was OK one day but the next morning was horrible!

We were without tv the entire weekend and had plans to watch the football playoffs with family. The breakfast was exactly the same both mornings as far as eggs abd sausage. Waffles kept sticking . Disappointing.

The room was not clean when receiving the room. No changed towels and cleaned the room on the second day. No phone number to contact housekeeping. We had to go to the lobby to ask the towels. We asked three sets of towels because we have 4 people, but the receptionist gave only two. The third day, they changed the towels but no cleaning in the room.

Property is now charging $3 for parking each not. Nickle and diming your customers is always a miss and what exactly am I paying for? There is no garage parking, cars are parked on a open unpatrolled lot. Really, Marriott??

Disappointing.
Breakfast service was terrible. 1st morning (Friday) arrived shortly after 6am, no forks, no eggs, small amount of bacon and was undercooked, only fruit was apples. limited yogurt. 2nd morning (Saturday) arrived shortly after 7am, very small amount of eggs, no bacon but did have sausage only fruit was apples, no bread/muffins except waffle maker.

A poor experience
This stay was the worst I have had at a Marriott hotel. The hotel hallways reeked of marijuana and other unpleasant odors, the bathroom was filthy with a few layers of dirt, the curtains would shed dust when you moved them and the room also smelled old. Also the door would not close properly and was open when I arrived (the latch closed and only opened from the inside, or when it felt like it). I stayed the night because it was already 11 PM, and I woke up itching. The people were pleasant, but that was the only positive to my brief stay.

Overall a good trip.
I called before we left home to make sure the hot tub was working. We were told yes. When i arrived. Took the kids to the pool. The hottub was freezing. I spoke with 2 others that weekend who had also called to confirm. At the front desk we were told we could use our key card to use the hotel next to them 😅 what a joke. Anyways kids still had fun. Breakfast was great! Hotel was clean !! Staff was good.

Not as nice as my last stay.
It wasn’t quite as good as my last time I stayed at this location. The Hotel had started charging $3.00 for overnight parking and didn’t mention it until after I got my room key. Why wouldn’t they just add the extra on to the room fee and not mention anything about the parking? Most people in Houston drive their own cars. Also, the Breakfast area was not completely set up when I went down to eat the next morning, and it was well after the time that they opened up for breakfast. I had to ask for two items that should have already been set out and available. Other than these two incidents, my stay was very pleasant.

The hotel is a good hotel with free hot breakfast, and it’s location is not far away to China town while close to Sam Houston Tollway. The front desks are very nice ladies. The food was also great and tasteful. The only thing that is not good is the swimming pool is broken and cannot be used during my stay in the late March 2023.

The surrounding area of the property was nice it had many places to eat at not far from there and 3 grocery stores within 5 minutes and it was a decent place to stay but the Night Shift secretary was very rude to me one evening when we went to go get water in the lobby she had a very bad attitude i never asked her once for anything but she asked if i needed anything in a very rude way and i said i was just looking for the stairs and she said down the hall and proceeded scoff as she grabbed the mop to mop up what seemed to be wet spots from people leaving the pool i wouldn’t recommend this place and i probably wouldn’t stay here i didn’t feel welcome or treated as a guest should

I only booked a hotel room here & paid way more than I would have because they claim to have a Indoor Pool & Spa but when I was checking in the lady said oh by the way we have no pool, spa, gym, or guest laundry!! I’m so upset & really disappointed with this hotel, lying about there information online about showing pictures of indoor pool & spa but not true when I came to check in! I was super upset & told them I only booked here to swim & sit in spa & that they should at least refund 1/2 of the money I paid ( really all of it for deceiving me & lying). Very disappointed Expedia!!!!! I just got $97 stolen from me!! I got Catfished by you guys!!!😡😩😔

The staff is ghetto and unfriendly and unprofessional. They were out of everything and my room have a leaking toilet and couldn’t even get a hold of maintenance person to come fix the toilet ! Never again will stay there !

We had been driving for 26 hours and wanted a pool and hot tub to relax in but upon checking in they informed us it was under maintenance. They were kind enough to set us up with the property next door so we could relax in their pool and hot tub. It was a nice save and was greatly appreciated

Wonderful place to stay!

I have stayed at this property many times over the years and this is always my choice when I go to Houston. The location is excellent, the facility is in terrific condition and the staff are always great. I look forward to my next trip to Houston and the Fairfield.
