MORE THAN 5 STARS!! Friendly, clean, professional, wonderful breakfasts, comfortable rooms and I could go on and on and on. Even more than that - we found ourselves in need of additional assistance at the end of our stay and David and Eileen went way beyond what could reasonably have been expected of them to help us. More than hosts now, MOST DEFINITELY FRIENDS. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Excellent Guest House!
We stayed for one night in the large bedroom looking out in three directions. The "en suite" bathroom was huge - certainly as large as the best size bathrooms for large houses. The bedroom itself was spacious, with two large armchairs and a very comfortable double bed. There was also a dressing room off the bedroom with mirrors all around. (The rest of the house was lovely too!) Full English breakfast was delicious. The information folder in the room gives lots of useful data, including SatNav postcodes for local park and ride locations, as well as a history of the house. The hosts are very helpful and keen to ensure that everything is just right. Two regrets: firstly, we did not have time to enjoy the lovely gardens and secondly, we did not stay for longer. We plan to address both of those next time!

Peaceful guest house in beautiful countryside. All spic and span with a lovely bedroom and hearty breakfast. Much nicer than staying in an impersonal hotel.

Lovely country guest house
Lovely friendly hosts in a beautiful setting. Certainly would recommend staying here. Comfortable beds in a good size twin bed room with en-suite. Nice full english breakfast in an area looking out onto the gardens and duck pond. Thankyou Eileen and David.

Pointers Guest House
Pointers Guest House is always our first choice when looking for accommodation in the area. A First Class stay, in all aspects every time. The food, rooms, service, and patrons are hard to beat, and I would recommend Pointers to anyone looking for somewhere to stay.

This is a first class guest house. Large, comfortable, well appointed bedroom with bathroom that meets the same description. Delicious breakfast, served (and I believe cooked) by a genial host - possibly the best scrambled eggs I have eaten. I would recommend this unreservedly.

Mom and daughter house hunting
My daughter and I were traveling in England to find a house for her and her husband to move into in the coming month. The hospitality that David and Eilene extend is heart warming. We booked a room with twin beds because of mom and daughter differences in sleep habits. The sweet owners upgraded us because of a cancellation to a two room larger space for the same $ we were going to pay. They did not have to do that but are so generous with their hospitality. On our 3rd day of stay we decided to come back to the guest house to enjoy a few snacks before we repacked our bags for the journey home. We went into the conservatory and got to watch the pointer puppies play in the yard. These dogs are treated better than most families treat their own children. Eileen came into the conservatory where we were to be sure we were going to get enough to eat that evening and even offered to heat pizza for us. That brings me to their breakfast that is included in the price of the guesthouse. Wow! You fill out what you would like the next morning and what time you would like to be served. It was delicious! Very fresh with fruits veggies, fresh eggs from their hens and fresh caught trout in my eggs. That was a first for me and so tasty. Their pointer dogs whom the guest house is named are beautiful show and working dogs. - Such a great experience! We want to go back already!

Excellent atmosphere, hosts were very welcoming, breakfast in the conservatory facing the pretty garden was very good. Bedroom was quiet and comfortable - private bathroom opposite bedroom. Managed to leave reading glasses behind but these were posted back and received the following day.

Business stop-over
Good for quiet county stay, yet not far from major road networks. Spacious bedrooms and lots of storage. Bathroom was very good and clean with quality toiletries. Breakfast had a good choice of options and well cooked. Would recommend for future stay options.

Bliss!

Lovely farmhouse B&B.
HUGE very comfortable double bed in a room big enough for 3 armchairs as well! An adjoining room with a single bed and all your tea and coffee making stuff. Best thing was that EVERYTHING worked and was easy to operate. Breakfast was fabulous with eggs from their own hens and all local produce. You ate in a wonderful conservatory overlooking a beautiful duck pond with fancy breeds in evidence. The drive leading to the farm was flanked by many thousands of daffs and narcissi. What a sight to greet you! Very reasonable and probably the best place I have ever stayed in.

We stayed at Pointers Guest house for one night in a comfortable family room with a spotlessly clean bathroom just over the landing.The full English breakfast was served with free range eggs from their own chickens. We chose a delicious homemade fruit salad instead of cereal. The house and gardens are attractive and well cared for, and the host and hostess are welcoming and helpful.

It was like staying with family!
I was very warmly welcomed by David who made me feel very at home after a long journey. The room and bathroom was lovely. It was one of the best nights sleep ive had in ages! breakfast was great with views of a lovely garden. I felt like I was staying with family. So much better than a 'normal' hotel. I couldnt fault my stay.

Fabulous guest house and hosts.
The hotel and its surrounding countryside was ideal for a break away. The hosts were very welcoming and accommodating and the room had everything you could possibly need. The breakfast was plentiful and very tasty.

Pointers lives up to 5 Stars
Two weeks ago I had the pleasure of spending two nights at Pointers Guest House. The establishment was delightful. my room immaculate and spacious, with top class facilities. Certainly lived up to the 5 Star rating. Top this off with an attentive and helpful host and you have the recipe for a perfect stay. Although I was in the area on business, I would not hesitate to return to Pointers for a very welcome break. Top notch.
