We greatly enjoyed our time in Amboise and staying at the Chateau de Pray. The staff is excellent, very friendly and helpful. Laura is a treasure! The property is everything you imagine it will be taking you back to the time of kings and queens. But yet, modernized enough for the comfort that we all want in today's times. The grounds are beautiful. We enjoyed a hike through the forest and the view of the Loire river is perfect. The Michelin star restaurant set in the limestone cave is wonderful as well. We traveled with our 9 year old son and we all had the best time ever. Will stay here again on our next trip to the valley.

This was a great stay. The staff at the Chateau was very welcoming and helpful. Our room had a terrace which overlooked the beautiful courtyard. The breakfast was wonderful and a great start to the day. The hotel offers every amenity possible, and I would highly recommend this Chateau for a truly memorable experience.

Charming French Chateau
The chateau was in the perfect location to enjoy some of the magnificent chateaus nearby. We are a family with 4 teenagers and therefore stayed in 2 rooms in the outer building for 2 nights. While both rooms were comfortable, one room had an odd smell that never went away. We ate dinner the Michelin rated restaurant located on property and the meal was superb. The pool was very clean and enjoyable.

This is a must stay if you are in the area. Beautiful rooms. No lifts but they carried our luggage. My husband has trouble with stairs but they tried to accommodate us. Parking on prémisses easy but driveway difficult to get into. Restaurant excellent we dined there both nights. Staff were amazing. Have to drive to shops but an excellent stay.

The finishes in the room were good quality and the bed very comfortable. Lovely site, though surprised the front gardens weren’t more elaborate/in better shape. Dinner in the restaurant was excellent, with very attentive wait service.

It was a good location for going to see other chateaus and castles. The people who work there are very service oriented. The flies in our room were a problem. Also in the breakfast area. I stepped on a bee on the carpet of our bedroom and got stung. The common rooom could use some new upholstery. It would freshen the room without removing atmosphere,

The hotel staff were able to accomodate our request for an early checkin. Our room was spacious and the property was lovely. Parking onsite and a quick drive into Amboise.

Staying in a real chateau!
Who could resist staying in a real chateau with a swimming pool, a 5 start restaurant and great service? We loved everything about our stay, and the service was above and beyond. The only limitation for us is that we did not have a car and the chateau is located in a rural setting (horses nearby, etc.) but our hosts arranged to take us to the car rental agency where we had reserved a car earlier. for anyone traveling by car, there are really no drawbacks whatsoever.

Historic Grandeur at Chateau de Prey
We were greeted by Sofie when we arrived and she showed us the chateau ‘s facilities and was a great advertisement for the property warm and friendly the Chateau has great accommodation it was very comfortable and clean in wonderful surroundings. We took advantage of their swimming pool which was warm and inviting. Breakfast was very good also plenty of choice in the usual items one would expect however the only hot item was scrambled eggs. We had drinks on the terrace which was relaxing after a day touring. The chateau is highly recommended.
