Confusing checkin
The check was at a different hotel, but the email used a different hotel name than Google or other maps show and did not provide directions, just the comment "a short walking distance". It would be helpful to list all names the hotel goes by and to give specific address instructions for check in.

Beautiful area and everything is within walking distance. Plenty of options for food or a relaxing drink. You can walk over to the beach and swim. Breakfast was free and at the neighboring hotel. Excellent quality food and many options. Definitely not a traditional American continental breakfast.

Receivd e-mail that check in would be at another hotel owned by property, no address. Note on hotel door also advised of this, hotel 250 meters away. Again no address, no map advising where to go. I advised woman I checked in with after figuring out where to go; she stated managment aware, had done nothing, she would post a map. I do not know if this was done??

I have booked 5 nights stay in this hotel. I have requested to change a better view room since I need to stay few nights but was rejected. The room they assigned, the air ventilation not good and felt stuffy. The location of this hotel right in the middle of town. You can easy get your food n grocery by walking distance.

Nothing fancy, awesome staff
Hotel Isafjordur is the main hotel with a sister hotel, Hotel Isafjordur Horn down the street (3 min walk). I stayed in Hotel Horn which has no reception desk and no restaurant of its own. That ended up being fine because the front desk staff at the main hotel was helpful, especially when my flight out was cancelled two days in a row due to winter weather (March 2022) and they helped me extend my stay. The receptionist also helped give me information on road conditions. Due to COVID precautions, they are not serving breakfast but give you a voucher for a friendly bakery 1 block away. My room was basic but spacious, clean and quiet. The bed and bedding were very comfortable. The housekeeping staff was wonderful and kept asking me what I needed whenever I saw them. Two minor down sides--I could only find one TV channel in English (BBC) and there is no microwave in the room. I would stay here again!

Hotel Horn has no reception, and is serviced by a hotel just a block away. Free parking is ample. The rooms were compact by American standards, but very clean and had TVs. The continental breakfast contains the typical options, but this was the only hotel I stayed at where I had pancakes and saw nutella (woo). Would recommend if you're driving out to the Westfjords.

The view was beautiful. It's a little odd to have to check-in and eat breakfast at the nearby hotel but the staff is great and explains everything. Breakfast was good. A minor problem I found was that the internet became unstable several times while I was at a virtual meeting as well as while I was doing other things on computer. This was an annoyance. Everything else was fine though.

Felt like an aparthotel but comfortable
Rooms were simply furnished and comfortable with nice bathroom but felt like aparthotel despite being priced like a nice hotel. Note you check-in at sister hotel (Hótel Ísafjörður) a few blocks away where the breakfast (very good) is also served. Next time would stay in Hótel Ísafjörður or another property instead.

Nice little hotel in a beautiful town. Just be aware that breakfast and check-in are at a sister property (just a couple minutes walk away). Good breakfast buffet, and very good dinner at the hotel restaurant. Overall a good stay, just a little pricey!

Good size room for 2 people. Bed was too soft so I had a hard time sleeping. Each floor had a communal area but if you were unlucky enough to have room in that area, loud people would be an issue. Check-in and breakfast are in sister hotel, right around the corner. Breakfast was pretty good, with plenty of variety.

Torg might be better than Horn
The rooms are very nice and comfortable. There is some room for improvement. Most significantly, the wifi is so slow that it is basically unusable. Also, Hotel Isafjordur has two locations, but there is only one reception desk — in the Torg location — which is confusing to visitors. Lastly, and there isn't any way around this, the room was slightly noisy as there is a children's playground behind the hotel.

Great location in the middle town, clean and nice. The staff are GREAT - I left behind a couple items of clothing and they found them and mailed them back to me in the US, so awesome!

Our first room (checked in late) was pretty terrible - small (for a family of 4), and the bathroom was both small and had a terrible smell. The next day we were moved to a more spacious room, which was very comfortable. Our overall experience was thus excellent.

We had a family room, which had 5 bedrooms. We didn't feel cramped and thought we had enough room to lay our luggage out, etc. The check-in & breakfast was in a different building, but very close. The tower rack in the bathroom was heated, which was a nice tough. There is also a small microwave and sink area. We didn't use it as we were only there for one night, but I can see it being useful for others. It is in a good part of town and we were able to walk to the grocery store and restaurants.

Beautiful town, great location. Family Room advertised for 5 people but VERY small and kids' legs hung over the edge of the beds. Smallest room by far (and most expensive) of our 2 week stay at 10 different places in Iceland.

Nice hotel with a view of the mountains
Room is large, clean, and comfortable. Bathroom is nice. Only complaint is that check in was confusing because when we showed up here, we found a sign on the locked door that indicated that we had to go to the sister hotel down the to check in. I wish this would have been communicated in advance.
