Great family room.Posted Sep 1, 2014
Pros: Friendly welcome. Helpful staff. Size of en-suite room. Comfortable beds. Cleanliness.
Cons: Replace the old TV with a flat screen TV.
Location: Hotel is located a short walk from the beach and close to Dinosaur Isle and the zoo.
We had an excellent weekend at this hotel. The staff are very friendly and couldn't be more helpful. The family room is very roomy and the beds comfortable. The breakfasts were great.

Very pleasant clean and comfortable B & BPosted Jul 14, 2014
Pros: Clean comfortable homely and welcoming, good lounge and dining areas, also rear garden.
Cons: Parking is limited but there is no scope to increase it
Location: The whole island is only 23 miles by 17 miles, I drove round it in half a day. There is plenty to see and do, food is excellent especially fresh fish
The owners of this B&B could not do enough for us. Changing rooms to accommodate my elderly mother and generally making us feel very welcome

Very relaxing getawayPosted Jul 2, 2014 on Hotels.com
We really enjoyed our stay. Breakfast was good, our room was nice, bed comfortable and linen fresh and clean. General decor was quite modern and tasteful. The area was nice, and we felt safe and easy walking at night, which can't be said about some seaside destinations! Very close to Sandown beach. We got greeted by their friendly 20 yr cat every time we left our room and the BnB (I think she waits around to get petted by guests!). We had some trouble on the ferry so arrived later than planned, and they waited around for us to check in at 10.30 which was and is most appreciated. Only thing that could be improved is some shelf in the bathroom to put stuff on beside the sink. Will come again if we return to isle of wight.

Comfortable place to rest your headPosted Jun 23, 2014
Pros: Location, staff, comfort.
Location: Very close to Sandown train station, so easy to access. 5 mins stroll to beach and seafront entertainments.
We stayed for two nights whilst attending the Isle of Wight Festival. Bed was comfy, staff were incredibly friendly and it was just a short stroll to the sandy beach/bars/restaurants. By no means the most modern or sleek place, but it's a B&B on the Isle of Wight, so it was everything I expected and needed. Would happily stay again.

Clean and basic,Posted May 31, 2014
Pros: Walking distance to beach and town, only a 5-10 min walk.
Cons: Decor and constant hot water would be nice.
Location: Close to beach
A very basic B and B, the owners were quite pleasant though. I think for what we paid (it was half term) I would have liked a nicer room, can't quite put my finger on it but it lacked something. The breakfast room was on the drab side, very old fashioned but not in the best way. It was unfortunate that there was no hot water for us on the mornings apparently it was used up by other residents?! So we had to have showers/baths in the evening. Anyway we decided that Sandown was not the town for us, the other towns have much nicer atmosphere. But I can't say enough that the owners were pleasant and helpful, but kept to themselves.
