Beautifully updated old Spanish stone house in a small hill village, good road. The old house is very special. Thick stone walls keep it cool, we had over 40C days. If colder, there are log stoves. Kitchen well equipped, fridge, small freezer and espresso machine for cappuccinos. Note as multi-level lots of random steps.
Air con in bedrooms. Main had big en suite with shower and bath, views over hills. One bedroom twin, small high window. One other double with courtyard view. Shared bathroom, shower. Plenty of hot water (bottled gas).
Glories of the house for a really relaxing break are the pool and terraces where we spent most time. Pool is slightly salty (much less than sea) very clear, and was (late June) really warm. Set in a suntrap at the base of a low cliff, lemon trees and lavender, sunbeds, not overlooked. No chlorine so shower and just dip in and out. Late evening swims with coloured pool lights under stars!
Small courtyard with table, shade, good for lunch, breakfast. Mid "Siesta" terrace up a few easy steps had two long sofas, shade with views, breeze and massive "beer" table, orange trees, power and wifi.
Huge delightful top terrace up cliff overlooking the house (steep steps with handrails) giving long views, superb sunsets, lovely in morning. Gas BBQ, small kitchen, fridge, big dining table plus armchairs, sofa and table. Great for evening BBQ and long sunset chill-outs.
We hired Travelling Kitchen (recommended) to cook us a dinner, fantastic, served top terrace .
