“Loved this hotel”

My husband and I stay and both hotels and bed and breakfasts and this hotel combines the best features of both. The accommodations are two room suites, with a bed in one room and sofa in the other. There are flat screen TV's in both rooms. (The inside rooms are smaller than those facing the street.) The rooms are tastefully decorated. There is a stall shower in the bathroom. Aveda products. Bathrobes are provided. There is a rooftop garden with a whirlpool (not working when we were there.) A southern self-serve breakfast is provided with indoor and outdoor seating. The management was extremely helpful providing us with a good place for dinner and the name of a local gym with a lap pool and day rates. The hotel is close to downtown and the courts.

“Stay with the folks at Old Capitol Inn”

Hotel is locally owned and a modification/renovation of an old YWCA. There are gardens at ground level and on the roof (though that is pretty hot in August - great place for morning coffee though). Staff were extremely helpful. I will definitely stay there again.

“Fabulous Find”

Fabulous find, right in the heart of the historic downtown district. Beautiful inn/bed and breakfast. Great staff. Beautiful room. Fun happy hour wine and cheese. Beautiful courtyard garden and rooftoop garden. Exceeded expectations! Just great!

“A Pleasant Business Class Hotel”

I always enjoy this hotel. It's well-located with easy access to fine restaurants, the interstate and government/business offices. The breakfast is excellent, and free, and the rooms are well-furnished. There are a lot of small suites. But with all of the good things I can say, including the excellent Aveda amenities, it's always a surprise that the hotel uses cheap bathroom tissue, the kind you would expect in budget accommodations. Hope they change that soon!

“downtown Jackson MS”

interesting, restored, old hotel in heart of Jackson...not exactly a thriving place except to visit friends or history. Staff and management could provide some local historical color at wine/cheese in afternoons. One of the best two places in downtown Jackson.

“Fun little hotel”

Fun liitle hotel in downtown Jackson. Our favorite place to stay in Jackson. Each room has its own theme and all are well done. Happy hour is wine and cheese in the lobby. You always meet an interesting mix of people.
