Jaco beach vaca.
The location was 2nd to none, the views amazing, pool was great, area very safe. The unit it’s self is a bit tired. Not many supplies, garbage bags, dish clothes, cleaning products, toilet paper etc. I would definitely recommend to a friend and also I would go back. Jaco is an awesome place.

Great Location just as advertised
We stayed at this property over Christmas of 2023. It is located on the beach and has a great pool just outside of the Condo. We loved getting up in the morning to walk on the beach; it was walking in paradise. There are great restaurants and coffee within walking distance. The only minor issue is during the holiday some folks like to play loud music while parked on the beach in front of the condo. But I must admit everyone was very friendly and accommodating about any loud music. We plan to return.

Beautiful Beachfront
The property was right on the beach with spectacular views. We could sit on the patio and watch amazing sunsets, people surfing and tropical birds. The condo was clean and had everything you needed. The pool was just steps from the door. The security was top notch and every guard was friendly and welcoming. The property manager can help you with tours and anything else you might need. I would come back again in a heartbeat. The owner is easy to contact and helpful if you have any questions or concerns.

The property itself is very nice, good layout, our condo was first building with great access to pool and beach. The pool was beautiful with plenty of lounge chairs and the water temperature was always perfect! We met so many friendly wonderful people it was a great stay!

Gem of a place in a cool surf town
We stayed for 7 days in Jaco, and loved every minute of it. The home and property made it extra special for 4 reasons. (1) Location - it is on the beach, access cannot get any better. And it is about 5 mins walk from Jaco downtown bars and restaurants - there are several good ones including a mind-blowingly good vegan restaurant called SER (2) the home and property - the home is classy, well stocked with everything you’ll possibly need except for kitchen supplies (more on that later), and no kidding it is probably the best home location wise in the property. One set of doors opens to the pool and another opens to a sit out to watch the ocean. Can’t get better than that (3) Safety - the property has a guard on duty 24/7 and they have solid access rules which are not onerous but makes one confident about security and safety. (4) Amenities - beach access rocks, the pool is well maintained and never crowded, equipment in the home is solid, good wifi, in home phone - super useful if you haven’t turned on international roaming, and other little things that were taken care of - more towels than you’ll ever need, boogie boards, well stocked kitchen utensils etc etc. Ok that’s all the good stuff. Not so good are tiny nits - be great if they provided some kitchen basics like salt, sugar and oil to make a few things without having to do a grocery run. We went during the busiest season - Christmas leading to NY, and the beach was crowded with cars parked outside the property and locals having a great time at the beach. Remember, it is a public beach and Jacó is popular with locals so expect a crowd during public holidays. But gotta love the people - they are super friendly and always clean up after they party. Clearly they care about and love their country! But it can get a little noisy in case you’re picky, but things always wrapped up by 8pm even on the busiest holiday. So in love with this place, my wife and are surely come back to this gem!

Great Place
The condo was well equipped, the pool clean and big! Nice neighbors, super friendly and helpful security guys. Right across from the beach, 2 minutes walk to an all day restaurant. Jaco is a bit touristy, but there's everything and anything to do! We went ziplining a little north of town, and it was really fun.

Perfect oceanfront location
The condos is close to the water as you can get the people there were very friendly and family-oriented. Can't say enough about the friendliness of the people there and the guards that watched over the grounds they were awesome. I would highly recommend this unit

We had a wonderful time in Jaco. It’s the picture perfect beach town that you think in your mind. Big waves crashing and lots of surfers…. This condo was perfect for everything that we needed. It was comfortable. It was clean. It was close to everything that we needed….. The property is very well-maintained and the pool is exceptional. We can’t wait to come back!

Good and bad
Furniture, couch and beds were old, sheep and uncomfortable. They are trying to charge me $160 for what they say stain towels And A bottom sheet they say is missing. We did accidentally break a glass, but they also say a plastic cup is missing which I will not dispute. The towel rack in the bathroom had been broken before which you could plainly say it was tried to be put back but it was done very unprofessionally, The first day I put a towel on it it fell so I did not have a towel rack for the entire stay but I will say that the location is great you really feel part of the culture which we really enjoyed

During the last 5 years, I have never received from the management company any major complains about any of my guests. Perhaps just 2-3 numbers of very minor issues. The only email with major issues that I have received from the management company was related to Mr. Ronald Borders and his parties! Most of the face, hand and Bath towels were full of unremovable stains. They had to be replaced with new towels. 2- Missing glasses. 3 – The heavy mattress’ bed cover/ protector was missing. Those covers are hard to be found in Costa Rica. I am trying to buy and ship one from the USA. The towel hanger was broken prior to Mr. Borders. He is not responsible for the broken hanger. The furniture in the living room is brand new! Purchased from the best furniture store in Jaco a few months prior to the stay of Mr. Borders and his guests.

Absolutely perfect location! Amazing sunsets; right on the beach
This condo was absolutely perfect for our stay. It was spacious and comfortable. We watched the sunset almost every night from the patio just because the view was heaven. The pool was big. The beach was literally across the street. The staff were friendly. It was not too far to walk to the main drag of Jaco. It was great. Dogs came out and frolicked in the waves in the mornings. We couldn’t have asked for more

Great Property
Located down the end of Pastor Diaz Ave, this place was quiet and well maintained. Great views from the master bedroom, being right across from the beach. Friendly neighbors and security. The place was the perfect size and had all the amenities of home.

For the last 9 months during the pandemic the maintenance was severely curtailed and Mr. Stephen Morgan was unfortunately the first tenant. But we have taken care of all the problems and the place is in top shape like before the pandemic.

We really enjoyed our stay. The location and views were breathtaking. If they put a bar height table on the patio the views would be spectacular. Twin beds could be updated and a little higher. Definitely would rent again!

Amazing view, location, and sunsets! We stayed in condo C8 with a rooftop terrace And the views were incredible. Short walk to town beautiful walks on the black sand beach of Jaco. Local bar nearby with great food plus an easy local bus to Manuels Antonio national Park.

The property is as listed. Great location within walking distance to downtown. Nabil was great to work with and tried to accommodate our needs. There were a few minor mechanical issues with the condo but were addressed immediately. I would stay here again.

Condo on the beach
The unit was great. Walk outside the patio door and the pool is less than 10 feet. Go 10 more yards and you’re on the beach. The staff was great and always wore a smile. The only thing to be aware of is that the VRBO site does not really show the exact location of the unit. It’s nearer the south end of the beach vs central. Not a problem for me but I thought it would be a block from Cocal and it’s closer to 4 blocks away. Regardless, I would definitely stay at Bahia Azul condos again.

Excellent apartment and location
We stayed at this unit for about 4-5 days, the owner and the property management company were all easy to work with and courteous. We arrived late around midnight and they were able to leave our keys with the security guard so we could get in the room. The pictures are identical to the unit, the patio walks right out to the pool with easy access to the beach just steps away. Highly recommend.

The condo worked great for our family of four (2 adults, 2 teens). Nothing fancy but the condo was clean and well equipped with dishes, towels, etc. - everything we needed. It was great being steps away from both the pool and the beach. The kids thought the pool temp was a little on the warm side but mom and dad liked it just fine! We didn't find the traffic on the adjacent road to be bothersome, the morning birds made a lot more racket :-) Easy walk into town to get groceries or grab a meal out. Daystar was super helpful in arranging transportation.

First time in Costa Rica
Outstanding weather and location. Beautiful sunsets each and every night. Long beach for walking. Near restaurants and shops. One recommendation is that the room with twin beds should have a curtain that offers more privacy and block out light. The curtain that was there was very transparent and offered very little privacy.

The Condo was great...clean,plenty of towels ,all the appliances worked well...the pool area was clean and plenty of chairs,good security.My only complaint was the noise at night due to the proximity to the road. A short walk to town with plenty of restaurants and shops. Overall Jaco was a good experience !

Great property located on Jaco beach!
My husband and I stayed at Bahia Azul, Unit 3A, for our honeymoon. We loved the condo and would recommend it to anyone! The condo was clean and spacious. The kitchen had all of the basic necessities. The a/c units worked well. The premises have 24/7 security. There is plenty of room to park your car. We had no issues while we were there. We were able to walk to town for groceries, the bank and lunch/dinner. We felt safe walking during the day and at night. Daystar Properties, the property management company, was great - easy to get ahold of and answered any questions we had about the property, the town and activities. The only potential con is that the condo unit does abut a public road that sits between the condo complex and the beach. At night, you can hear cars, music and people walking.

3B Bahia Azul
Went down for a long weekend of fishing, gambling and eating. I usually stay at a quite noisy and rowdy location but after many nights trying to go to sleep to blaring disco music I decided to try something new. The property was perfect, the grounds well maintained and the condo spotless. a beautiful lap pool which I never had time to use, English channels on the TV and nights so quite all you could hear was the surf. My only fault with the unit was the drape in the Master Bedroom which was not wide enough to completely cover the window. I will be planning to stay there on future trips.

An amazing location!
My husband & I absolutely loved our time in Jaco and this condo was perfect. It was larger than I had expected and the location was perfect. A very easy walk everywhere in town and the beach/ocean was right there. The owner was prompt and responsive. Would love to be able to return sometime!

Great Costa Rican Experience
We stayed at Bahia Azul over New Years and had an excellent time. The condo and the grounds were clean and well maintained. We felt completely safe as their was a security guard at the gate 24/7 and loads of Canadian and American tourists in the complex. You couldn't ask for a better view and proximity to the beach and downtown. The beach was literally steps away and downtown was a quick 5-10 minute walk. We walked into town every night for dinner. I would highly recommend as a place to stay while visiting Costa Rica. We were close enough to nearby destinations for lots of great day trips.

Relaxing getaway with the family
We stayed here for three nights and had a wonderful time. The condo is so cute and beautifully furnished, it looks much better than in the pictures! It is close to restaurants and the super market. We had a rental car, but it's not too long if you want to walk. The unit is right in front of the pool and beach. The bead room has a direct view of the ocean, and the living room has a pool view and ocean view. The ocean was so close you could hear the waves crashing and it was very peaceful. The condo is air conditioned, but we kept the French doors open and they were screened and we had a constant breeze coming in and we could hear the ocean. It was very relaxing. We cooked our meals in the condo, but went out for lunch one day. Every thing we needed to cook with was there and also there is a washer and dryer inside the condo. Very convenient. We would recommend to anyone to stay here and we plan to come back soon.

fabulous condo in beautiful and convenient location
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this condo. It was well equipped with nearly everything you need--from boogie boards to pool floats and beach towels. Kitchen had all essentials! Beds were quite comfortable and rooms sizable with nice bathrooms. Location is wonderful--beautiful ocean front views and only steps away from the pool. Only a few cons: 1. couches in living area are not comfortable at all--we added pillows from bedrooms to make them bearable. 2. The hot water runs out before you can complete your shower. 3. The sheets on master bedroom king don't fit properly and thus come off throughout the night. Overall it was a very nice place as you can easily walk into Jaco to eat or shop and Jaco has some fabulous restaurants. Daystar folks are very helpful--all their restaurant recommendations were great! Beach was too rocky for me, but if you want white sandy beaches like in Manuel Antonio, you would have to walk farther to get to it from your resort--trade offs. We would stay here again for sure--pros definitely outweighed the few cons.

We had awesome time in Jaco!
We stayed for a week in unit 3a. Steps to the beach, steps to the pool... It can't get better than that. All you need is in the condo, a lot of space, clean, everything is very new and in top notch condition. Walking distance to restaurants and shops, nice leasure stroll to everything. Nabil is very helpful and took care of our arrival at very late hour (flight was delayed and we landed in San Juan at 2am). Security guards and service team are very friendly and helpful. Our family, 2 adults and a teenager boy had unforgettable time here! Highly recommend to everyone.

The beach was absolutely gorgeous. The water was bathwater warm and the sand soft. The waves were out of this world and it was fun to watch all the surfers. The condo is directly across from the beach so could not have asked for a more convenient location. The pool in the condo grounds was nice and clean. However, I was not impressed with the condo itself. The furniture was rock hard and uncomfortable. The kitchen came with minimal supplies, one sponge, one jar of soap, and one trash bag and we were expected to clean up or else pay an additional cleaning fee on top of the cleaning fee we already paid when booked. The price was relatively high and did not include breakfast or any amenities. We also did not feel safe walking around the town at night. All of the stores and restaurants have bars across the windows and doors which was intimidating. Overall, we had a good time at the beach but would not book this condo again.

Nice Location, Nice Property
Wife and I spent 3 nights at this property in Bahia Azul condo complex at the south end of town and were pleased with the overall experience. Location is prime beachfront and just a short walk into town. Probably the best asset is their large, clean pool with plenty of lounge chairs - most days we were the only ones there enjoying the pool. This particular unit (3A) is on the ground floor and the patio is directly adjacent to the pool. Owner was very responsive to our inquiries as was Angel, the friendly property manager based in downtown Jaco. The on-site staff was also very pleasent and helpful. The property is gated with a full-time watchman and has a secure parking area in the rear. Although it's a small lot, we managed to find a spot each time we needed to park our rental. Wifi was being upgraded during our stay but we still had no problem getting on line. There was a large ocean swell the day we arrived so the beach road right outside our bedroom was packed with vehicles and surfers all day, playing music and partying which somewhat disrupted the peace. But Jaco is a surf town ... and when conditions are good it really comes alive. Have been to Jaco many times and would stay at this property again.

Great location
Our recent stay at Bahia Azul was all we expected and more. The location is truly one of the best. We had an ocean view from our deck and the ocean was only a few hundred yards away. The unit is very well equipped with all that you need for a stay. It is a short walk to downtown Jaco. We did not rent a car or ever have a need for one, everything was within walking distance. The management company was very helpful and easy to work with. We would definitely stay there again.

Best place to stay in Jaco
In my opinion Bahia Azul is the best place to stay in all of Jaco Beach. I have stayed there many times and will continue to return. Apartment 3A is exactly as advertised and comes with all the mod cons anyone could need for a relaxing vacation at the beach. All you need to pack is yourself and your clothes. Everything else such as plates, cutlery, towels and toiletries are supplied for you. I would strongly recommend Bahia Azul and apartment 3A to anyone who wants to enjoy a vacation at the beach and feel as comfortable as they would in their own home.

Great View
The view of the beach from the property is breathtaking. The condo was clean and as pictured. We would definitely stay there again. The pool was well maintained and easy to access from the condo. We could take just a few steps off back patio and be at the pool or the beach. It was also nice to have a fully functional kitchen. The local farmer’s market takes place every Friday morning just a block from the condo. We attended to farmer’s market and bought eggs, fruit, veggies, hot sauces, and other various goodies from local vendors. We cooked breakfast every morning and make snacks for lunch at the condo. After watching a breathtaking sunset every night, we walked to the main street in Jaco for dinner and the local nightlife. The beach is amazing, but does have quite a few rocks. Those with tender feet might want to bring water shoes to protect your feet. The under tow at the beach is also quite strong and something to keep in mind for young children and weak swimmers. Overall, the property was great, but there were a few issues while we were there which kept me from giving it five stars. The key-less entry stopped working and had to be repaired; which resulted in us being “locked out” for about 2 hours. It would not have been a big issue except I needed to reapply sun screen after playing in the surf for a couple of hours. The refrigerator was also difficult to close and open. The safe in the master bedroom was not working properly. The A/C unit in the master bedroom was not cooling property either; which forced us to close off other areas of the condo we were not using and run the A/C units in the other rooms full time to keep the master bedroom cool enough. There were a few other minor irritations, but on the whole we enjoyed our stay and one full sunset will erase most of the property’s minor problems.
