The young girl upfront with long hair was very courteous and spoke English well. Convenient and close to the beach, food and drinks onsite, staff were all friendly!

Staff is friendly and efficient. Hotel is just steps away from the beach, great restaurant with full front ocean view and access. Sea food was very very very good.

Hardly a 3 star motel. It’s located on the beach but the beach is not suitable for swimming as the waves are very strong. The breakfast is very substandard. The location is 10 minute drive to the city. If you don’t have a car, you are stuck.

Raquel at the front desk was beyond accommodating and helpful with her knowledge of the area and setting up appointments for me even though I was leaving first thing in the morning.. she was able to make everything I wanted to do happen!!! I’ll definitely be back

Hotel definitely had a certain charm and the front desk was particularly helpful and friendly! Down side is constant base music vibrations heard throughout the hotel and the continuous roar of truck traffic nearby. But still an enjoyable weekend getaway- just tone the music down a bit, please!

Loved the fact that the site resembled an older Costa Rican hotel with great amenities and on the ocean. What was bad was the truck traffic occasionally using air brakes at all hours. Also they obviously have staffing problems on the busy weekends with wait time for a drink at the bar exceeding 45 minutes sometimes and the bar manager not able to make drinks, instead watching the waiting customers. The help, excluding the bartender, who didn't speak English, were very friendly and helpful.

The hotel is nice and the rooms are comfortable. The restaurant is right on the beach and the food is very good. The pool has a swim up bar and has a fun atmosphere. The staff are very nice. Unfortunately there is a place a little ways down the beach that hosted a large and noisy rave party on the night that we were there. The music sounded like it was in our room and did not stop until 4 am. We went to the front desk to see if anything could be done and there was nobody there. We would not stay there again in case in happened again.

One nite stay in Playa Hermosa near Jaco
Nice views of ocean and beach. The room was OK but basic. The truck noise was very bad at night from main road. We were in the building by small pool. Breakfast was good and waiters were nice. We enjoyed our one nite stay

Perfect little ocean front hotel
It had everything we wanted and very happy with the location and staff. Its close enough to Jaco and Manuel Antonio that it made it easy to get around. Definitely recommend and stay again.

Our room was close to highway route 34, and resulted noisy because of truck-trailers. Door entrance to room requires an extra locking device. A rubber matt could be an asset to prevent a slip in the shower.

Was a wonderful place to be. Ocean side and an awesome pool breakfast also include and it was very very good. Dancing lessons and live music on weekends. King bed was the most comfortable stay we had in weeks of travelling. Also booked 2 extra days to enjoy the ocean and just relax.

Excellent location and amazing beach hotel. Great breakfast buffet and right on the beach. However I had booked a beach view room but when we arrived they said they were being worked on. The put us in s nice room by the second pool but we heard trucks using Jacob brakes 20 feet away all night, which was a pity because otherwise it was a great place.

Beautiful hotel close to San Jose, good for family, couples. Lovely private beach, though not for swimming. Staff at restaurant and pool can improve customer service, they seem quiet unorganized and take way too long to serve a simple soda, it took around 2 hrs to get an order of nachos at the pool, it was not crowded at all. A part from this, the hotel is confortable, nice pool and beach.

This hotel needs serious management help. They have cesspools right outside the door of the rooms (the sewage smell permiates the room) . The restaurant is not organized at all, the restaurant was full at 8:45 pm, we only saw 3 people eating, everybody else was waiting for their food like us. We ordered one soup, and one pasta dish, and it took them one hour. BTW the restaurant advertised a 9:30 closing time. And a big factor is, no swimming at the beach (too dangerous)

I love this place because it is on the most beautiful, secluded beach. In the two years since I was there, they have really done a good job of remodeling. The shrimp tacos are excellent The one thing I didn't like was that when I went to check out , they made me wait until housekeeping checked out the room I hope this was to make sure I didn't leave something, and not to make sure I didn't take something

Check in the guy was NOT friendly. Wanted a drink, the only place open was the restaurant, needless to say we ended going into town to get drinks. Could not get served. Trees where being trimmed and branches fell less than 1 foot away from us. The only friendly employees where at check out the security and the housekeeping staff.

Regarding the tree, it hurt us a lot to have had to cut them but it was something necessary, a few months ago one of these trees fell on the restaurant, thank God the losses were only material, by cutting these trees we make sure that something terrible does not happen. La comida del restaurante muy rico, los postres deliciosos. La cocina debe mejorar el tiempo que duran en sacar los platos, considero que si duran dem. Los saloneros deben aprender a coordinarse mejor entre ellos. Me parece que les falta comunicacion entre ellos y eso produce atrasos en las entregas. No me agrado que no tuvieran toallas para la piscina, muchos de los huespedes estaban incomodos por eso. En general muy bien, el personal amable y respetuoso. El area nueva del restaurante va a quedar muy bonito.

Great location
The checking process was fast. They changed our room because the online information showed pictures of the front pool view and not the back building with no view of the beach. Make sure to request the building closer to the beach. Just know that you cannot swim on this beach due to rip currents. However you can walk and take the sun. It is a beautiful nature surrounded beach.

I like the fact that the restaurant its really close to the ocean and at night they put a light on the ocean so it looks really nice, the rooms are nice, simple but nice, really clean, the staff are great, the ocean is really dangerous for swimming. The hotel is close to other beaches, arround 20 min by car. They have to swimming pools really clean.

The resort didn’t look much like the photos. Under construction with no mention of this online. Looked like they started the construction and gave up, no one actively working on it while there. You couldn’t swim at the beach which also was not mentioned online. Online it said there was laundry service, this was not on site which we had planned on using, upon our arrival we were told it was in another town and very expensive. The swim up pool bar was only open the last day of our stay. Most staff were great, friendly, however some of the folks working the snack bar by the second pool were not very interactive. The beds were not comfortable at all. Hotel is also located very close to the highway and our room could hear the traffic especially the tractor trailer trucks riding their breaks downhill all hours of the night. The breakfast and sunset views at the beach were amazing. Overall it was okay but I wouldn’t book again.

Off the beaten track in Jaco
Stayed 2 nights and enjoyed the beach, food and service. Construction around the swim up bar/ pool caused closure , no use so we used the upper pool.
