Frog Town canoe trip
We booked this VRBO so we could bring our canoe to Caddo for the first time. We were attracted by the proximity to the lake and dock access. Everything about the place exceeded expectations! The hosts were wonderful, very accommodating and communicative. The space was very clean and nicely decorated and maintained. They had gone the extra mile with special touches like a goody basket and having firewood ready to go in the fire pit. We very much enjoyed our stay and definitely recommend Frog Town!

Excellent VRBO experience!

Fishing Get Away
This camp was great, clean comfortably and welcoming. The decor was precious, and the quite peaceful mornings on the spacious deck with a cup of coffe was awesome. Great view of the lake and our host were very attentive to anything we needed. Frog Town was great and we will be back.

Just what we needed - get away from it all!

Photographers Paradise!
Our hosts, Brandi and Steven aka “Chip and Joanne of Caddo Lake” we’re literally the best hosts we’ve ever had! The cabin is decorated in modern farmhouse style, super clean and well stocked. The deck is surrounded by tress and a great view. We enjoyed drinking wine by the fire at the end of the day. We booked a private tour with Steven (they have a boat dock within a 100 yards of the house) and selected the mud boat over the pontoon since it was just the two of us. It was FANTASTIC and I highly recommend!! My husband is a photographer and this was perfect for both of us. Of course we loved Larry their dog who would stop by and check on us. We will be back!

Great Getaway
Frog Town was the perfect remote retreat! Brandi and Stephen have stocked their property more than any I have stayed at before - with lots of pantry items in case a need arises. Their love for Caddo Lake is contagious and their love for Frog Town is evident. Such a comfortable place with kayaks and a canoe to provide lots of water adventures. Made sure you take a private boat tour with Stephen to see all the mysteries and history of the steamboats.

Perfect getaway
We arrived at Frog Branch and had an easy check In process. Brandi had already reached out to make sure we didn’t have any questions and left a binder with all the ins and outs of the house. Everything was clean and spotless with a beautiful welcome basket. They had the house stocked with anything you might need, coffee/keurig, extra blankets, bathroom necessities, and everything to do some laundry. They got the kayaks ready for us to take out and adventure around the lake. We did some fishing, kayaking and explored the city of Historic Jefferson. Everything was relaxing and perfect.

Quick Lake Trip
We went over to this property on Caddo Lake just before the 4th of July and had a great time! The hosts communicated very well and the house was a great place to relax between outings.

Best VRBO we’ve ever rented
Brandi and Steven made this stay the best. They are the nicest people you would ever want to meet. Frog town is down a winding little county road that when you 1st travel on it you think you should turn around. 😄 but it’s worth it when you get there. The house is perfect for a couple or small group. My husband really enjoyed the pier by the lake in the mornings. I was able to sit down there one evening and it is beautiful. Peaceful Beauty
Had a wonderful weekend celebrating my birthday and retirement with my family here. The cottage was beautifully decorated in a French country style, beds were comfortable and the outdoor space perfect for a bbq. Brandi was a great communicator and host, and her husband Stephen was also very kind and helpful. Knowing we were celebrating, Brandi was so thoughtful putting up a Happy Birthday banner and leaving a kind note and small gift. The location was wonderful as it was off the beaten path and thus more peaceful, yet still convenient. The road coming in was a bit bumpy, but made it feel like we were going somewhere others normally don’t get to see as we entered this wonderful neighborhood of homes just by the lake. This is an area of home owners versus lots of vacation properties, so it truly was more quiet than one might experience on the other side of the lake. We loved that about this location. We selected Lake Caddo as we wanted to kayak through the Cypress and Spanish Moss, so access to kayaks and the canoe was also a plus for us. Talk about a magical experience, paddling Lake Caddo through the trees was just incredible! We all wished we had booked more days at Frogtown and could have enjoyed more time kayaking, relaxing on the deck and taking in the views. It was a memorable and wonderful way to celebrate my birthday and retirement.

Unreal location and value
If you're searching this area you're probably already familiar with Caddo Lake, but in case you're not, it's an absolutely magical, mysterious, and breathtaking place to visit. The hosts are so thoughtful, kind, and accommodating and the property so well stocked it sets a new standard. The house is spacious, comfortable, private, and just a few steps from a boat house on the lake. We utilized the provided kayaks and canoe to capture some memories and photos that seem to be from out of a dream. The town of Jefferson is a thirty minute drive away and is such a cool and charming place I can't believe we'd never heard of it. A++ all around but, again, the real stars of the show are the hosts Steven and Brandy. They are kindness personified and remind us of why using sites like VRBO feels so right- putting money into the pockets of our neighbors instead of faceless corporations. Oh, I mentioned one time to Brandy pre-trip that my daughter was having a birthday on the weekend of our stay; when we arrived there was a happy birthday sign hung inside the house. Just amazing. You will not regret this rental, you will be blown away at the value.

Nice Rustic Getaway
The place is spacious and well cleaned. The host responded very fast and provided great information. They even provided a welcome kit, and my girls enjoyed going through their little merchandise corner. Do your groceries before arrival because the place is a bit remote. Nice sunset view across the street!

Great place for a getaway.

Three days at Frog Town
The house is spacious and comfortable. The hosts, Brandi and Steve, have obviously put in lots of effort to create an enjoyable place to stay. They are very polite and considerate. Everything we needed was supplied. The location is fantastic, on Caddo Lake, a very unique experience in itself. There is nothing else like it in Texas. The hosts make their dock and boat house available for guests. That was a delight for us. We'll be back!

We stayed at frogtown for a LBAA womens pro bass fishing tournament. Brandy and Steven went above and beyond to help us get our boat parked and figure out getting it into the water the next day. They are very attentive hosts and are willing to help you with any thing you might need. Frogtown the property is a little hard to get to but well worth the effort. The house is well appointed and very comfortable. If you need a place to stay at Caddo Lake especially if you’re fishing look no further!

Short family getaway
It was our first visit to the Caddo Lake area. The cabin itself is great, and the hosts are very friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed being away from our Big City and away from the hustle. Our only mistake was coming before the spring greenery really came in, but even then, my wife got to take some great photos. We'll definitely have to come back at different times of the year to see how things change from season to season! The highlight of our stay: Sitting on the deck and listening to the various birds. Early in the morning we got to hear owls. There were also some very friendly Carolina wrens who came right up to serenade us. We even got to see a bald eagle as a couple of crows chased it away! We didn't get a chance to use the canoes or kayaks, but had we stayed longer, we definitely would have. We definitely recommend Frog Town and hope to come back again sometime soon. :-)

Absolutely the BEST VRBO hosts on the Planet!!!!
The Cabin was spotless, it had all you needed and more. Brandi and Steven set the bar very high for hosts. They were kind courteous, and most welcoming. Steven took the time not only to tell us a fishing report but went above and beyond to make sure we had the best possible trip. You can not find a clean nicer place on Caddo Lake and the hosts were tops. WE WILL BE BACK !!!!!

Cute 2 bedroom home in quiet lakeside neighborhood.
Great location for touring and sightseeing the area. Gives you a great feeling for what living in the area would be like. Super clean!!! Cozy. The check in process was so easy. My parents are , how should we say it. “In there autumn years” so the stairs were a thing. The host warned me of this. But we made it work. But, it’s a thing. The hosts were so kind. The house is lovely. Dad might have drank all the k-cup coffee. But, the hosts were beyond kind.

Attention to detail
The Frogtown house is beautifully cared for, with 1 million special touches. It is an a very special unique area, and it is clear that the owners absolutely love the house in the area. House is extremely comfortable with everything we needed. Get your groceries in advance, there is not a lot nearby! Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Perfect getaway and we live in S E TX. The lake is 26,000 acres of beautiful scenery. Best of all Brandi and Steven took care of all our questions and needs. We will be going again on the future!

Relaxing Fishing Trip
We had a peaceful couple of days fishing on beautiful lake Caddo. My husband used the boat ramp down the road. We enjoyed relaxing in their cozy home, eating in Jefferson and fishing. Such a good find!

Great get away cabin !
Our stay at Frog Town was a wonderful opportunity to experience the ambiance of Caddo Lake. The cabin was well depicted in the description on VRBO. Quiet Getaway
Great cabin on Caddo Lake. The owners were quick with information and accessible anytime. It was great being able to utilize the included canoe and kayaks. We did a three hour paddle with our dog. It was nice to sit out in the evening with some wine and listen to nature. We highly recommend!

Great Getaway!!
This was a trip of many first, my first time to Caddo Lake, my daughter's first vacation trip with us, and our first canoe adventure as a family. Beautiful house at the lake
Loved the property, and the owners. What I didn't love was the road going to the house. I am sure all the rain we have had didn't help, but for me it was too scary to do again. I hate to say anything negative because it was a really cute place, but this is how I feel. Other than that it was perfect.
