Good for a 3 star
Some modern facilities a bit lacking - no plugs near the bed. TV too small for a very large room. Restaurant staff very attentive and lovely. Every body very pleasant and we would stay again.

Great staff. Food was good but it is very noisy at night with the busy road with having to leave the windows open and having no air con was a problem for us. The fan provided doesn’t really do anything. Had a good stay but have booked a different hotel for next year as defo need air con to be able to sleep.

The hotel was clean and Reception staff on arrival very helpful. The room was spacious, ideal for us as a family of 4 and facilities very good. Only downside was not being able to order from the bar menu , and not really knowing where we could go for dinner - as hotel is a 10-15 min from high street. But would still recommend :-)

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The two pools were well maintained. Breakfast was very good. It would be better if the bedroom windows would open further to let more fresh air in.

The staff are so friendly and helpful. The room was quiet and overlooked the pool. It was hot when we there so air-con would have made the stay perfect but we were given fans so that helped. There is a short walk to Millennium Park where there are shops and bars and only took us 20 mins to walk to the main shopping area and Liberation Square is just a little further on. We would definitely stay there again

Avoid....no air-conditioning!!!!!
Avoid during summer. NO AIR-CONDITIONING!!!!!!! Most uncomfortable night's sleep I have ever had. Even after changing rooms and being given a fan, sweated all through the night. Hotel was very expensive, so the least I would have expected was air-conditioning and a comfortable night's sleep. Staff in the morning were not interested at all and didn't even ask if we'd enjoyed our stay!!! I said to the lady on reception, in case she was interested, that we had had a very uncomfortable night's sleep. She told me to do a review on Trip Advisor!! I told her I definitely would!!! Over-priced meal in restaurant. Prawn cocktail tasted tainted of something (smoked salmon?) - it was simply awful!! Breaded chicken tough and almost inedible - I left half of it!! I am former airline crew who has stayed in hotels all over the world. This was the worst experience of a hotel stay. Very disappointed.

We are sorry you did not enjoy your one night stay which occurred over the recent exceptionally hot spell of weather. Temperatures in Jersey do normally fall considerably at night as we are surrounded by sea, close by. Few properties have air conditioning on the island. We were pleased to have been able to move you within the hotel on arrival. Your custom is appreciated and again we are sorry you did not enjoy all aspects of your stay with us.

Superb Hotel
Love this hotel, stayed here before and wouldn't go anywhere else. Good position, fabulous staff, lovely room and easy walk to town. Nothing is too much trouble, couldn't wish for better.Highly recommend.

Lovely Hotel.
Was a 2 day stay in a superior room, number 107 on ground floor.Sound proofing could be better, the room next to me had there TV on i thought it was mine ,WIFI is very poor in this room.Hotel is very nice apart from this,friendly staff and helpful, Bar and restaurant are bright and comfy seating. Only 15 to 20 minutes walk to shops in st Helier. Alot cheaper tha most of other Hotel,s on island.

Comfortable 3* hotel in St Helier
Excellent breakfasts, bar & restaurant also very good. Bar staff were very friendly. Rooms were cleaned daily &the hotel was generally quiet. Free wi-fi was excellent. Nice indoor swimming pool with steam room & jacuzzi (though 2people stayed in the jacuzzi for over an hour preventing others from using it) Too cold for the outdoor pool. The hotel was not too easy to find for the first time because of the 1way streets in St.Helier.

The hotel is well located for town and to get out to the country. Facilities are good for the size of the hotel. Staff are always helpful and friendly.

A bit tired in places. No mini bar /fridge. Shower curtain. Noisy extractor fan flue outside our window. Tried to book for dinner but receptionist said restaurant was full but could eat in the bar. So ordered a bar meal and the waiter asked if we wanted to eat it in the restaurant. So we did. There were about 5 tables free all evening.

An enjoyable stay.
We had a wonderful stay at the Monterey Hotel and didn't want to come home. We stayed in a superior double room which was extremely comfortable and we were able to step out onto the patio area and outdoor pool. The three course evening meals were excellent, with a good choice and great service. It only took ten minutes to walk into St Helier, cutting through a lovely park. All the staff were very helpful and efficient and we enjoyed using the indoor pool, spa and steam room. We hope to return again one day.

Staff were great. Good food, nice bar, clean pools (if cool) and tidy room. Location was ok, about 10 minute walk to town centre. Floor boards were rather creaky. No air con in our room and street could be noisy. Good for bus connection and had car parking.

Good location, great staffs and ok breakfast :) In the rooms they need to have more power sockets. I never stayed in a hotel where there was no bedside lamp, light switch and power connection to charge phones. Even on the bathroom we couldn't find a socket for electric brush charging. Bus service is just opposite of the hotel, very convenient.

Thank you for your review that our staff will appreciate. To clarify, all rooms have lights by the bed that are switched from the headboard or next to the bed. There are sockets in the rooms and we are retrofitting dual electric sockets with USB's for device charging. The sockets in the bathrooms are located behind the panel on the mirror light. Very satisfactory. The only slight criticism is that the double bed was actually two singles bolted together, which makes the centre uncomfortable where the two separate mattreses come side by side.

Nice room, clean and tidy, but the floorboards in ours and the neighbouring rooms could be heard all night long. Breakfast - plenty of choices, buffet or fresh. Bar Menu - good choices and prices
