I truly can’t say enough good things about this beautiful property. Let’s start by saying, I can’t wait to come back. It’s unique, clean, in a very cute walkable area close to Country Club Plaza, coffee shops, etc. My daughter and I stayed in the Westside room. At 14 she felt it was tik tok and Instagrammable so I’d call that a win. Loved the art displayed yon entering, and that each room has its own theme, along with a binder about why your room is named what it is, as well as tons of other information about the mansion, local history, tv stations, etc, the list truly goes on. This place is now my favorite for when I visit KC. I look forward to coming again, it really is great. The owners have done an amazing job.

Very nice, clean property. Check in was quick and easy. Property communicated well. Bed, towels, and room was great. Walkable to plaza. Art museum practically next door. Would definitely stay here again.

I liked being in the lovely neighborhood next to the Nelson Art Gallery. The house was beautiful! I could hear the people in the neighboring room arguing. I also could hear other tenants. The coffee maker in the room did not work. For a high priced room I found this unacceptable.

Hi Mary,Thank you for leaving your review! I'm sorry that you had hear that you had heard some of the other guests/ neighbors throughout your stay. The house is older, so the sound can easily travel, but we do our best to implement the 10pm quiet hours to not disturb the other guests. We have not experienced any issues with the Keurig after your stay from our other guests, but I will certainly check it out and confirm it is still operating as normal. We do also have an additional Keurig machine in the dining room as well. I do feel it is important to note the room you had booked was at 108 a night (before discounts) which is comparable and lower than most in the area. I greatly appreciate your feedback as we are always looking for room for improvement, and thank you again for staying with us!

Was there celebrating 3rd Anniversary the room was ok other than the tv kept going off and on and the shower head was oddly positioned and we add to stand on the side of the shower to bathe. And the heat made this loud noise when it blew. There was no comfortable seating in room. The only chair we had was an old chair that felt like it was gonna break down every time we sat in it. The bed was comfortable.

I will certainly look into the issues discussed in your review, as we have not had any reports from previous guests before or after your stay regarding those issues. I can certainly have my maintenance look into the noise from the heater and shower head to see what adjustments we can make. I had a horrendous experience with the Oak Street Mansion. They failed to provide a room. I called them 4 times requesting a door code and room #. They failed to even reach back out to me. I had to sleep at a truck stop in -30° wind chill weather. I had to leave my vacation due to this.

We had sent over all the necessary information containing your room name, door code, etc, to the email on file, but this could've ended up in a spam or junk folder. Our answering service was unable to reach us that night, and we have followed up with them and made adjustments/ improvements to avoid these situations in the future. I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience, as this is not our typical guest experience. We would love another opportunity to show this to you!

Wonderful Stay
We had a wonderful stay at Oak Street Mansion. We were in the Beacon Hill room, and it was excellent. It was comfortable, clean, and quiet. The contactless check-in was fantastic and seamless. Having access to the main house to see the artwork was also a nice plus. It is super close to the museum and within walking distance of the Plaza, which is fantastic. We loved it, and we'll be back.

Incredible accommodations, grounds and surrounding neighborhood. Easy walk to so much to do, The Plaza, Great restaurants & the Nelson Atkins Museum. Property is clean, pristine and welcoming. Gorgeous common areas with fireplace and outdoor space. We had the Volker Room which has a massive outdoor balcony that is just lovely for coffee of happy hour. Bed is super comfy and bathroom is gorgeous. Only challenges would be, that there is no elevator ( did not matter to my friend and I but to some it might ) and you will be required to carry your bags upstairs if your accommodations are located upstairs. Additionally, there is no access or option to purchase soft drinks, wine or light snacks. Arriving from out of state via plane on a Sunday late afternoon, it would have been lovely to have had the capability to purchase a bottle of wine and light snacks, while unpacking and getting ready for dinner. However, the next morning, we found a convenient store and stocked up on light snacks, breakfast muffins, soft drinks and a bottle of wine. Other than minor things mentioned, I would highly recommend the Oak Street Mansion for comfort, location and noise level. Gorgeous neighborhood.

Such a great little gem! Staff was on top of all communication even though there was no one on site. The whole place was gorgeous, the bed was so so comfortable and the room was fantastic! Only things to note. WiFi/internet was a little hit & miss and we could have used a step stool in the room to get in/out of bed. I’m 6ft and even I had trouble getting up there. Don’t change those beds though!!
