I lived in this city for long time and I love the location. You can easily walk in the city center. Close to Beirtheimer Allee and Karlsruhe’s beautiful zoo. Groceries and restaurants are easy to access. The hotel and the staff are very nice and polite.

The staff were ok. The location is great, it is close to the zoo, Biertheimer Allee which is a very nice little park. We made a reservation during the summer, our room had a very small AC, which was not even make the room just 2 or 3 degrees cooler. Very hot, difficult to fall sleep. The minibar was not working, even the water bottle they put in the minibar was hot! Breakfast was very good but still in a warm room, where also flies were flying around. Other than that everything was fine!

What more could you ask for?
Fantastic service on both English and German, although obviously better in German. Quiet and located in a great area. They were able and willing to accommodate a late arrival although it was not necessary. I struggle to think of anything that could have been different or better, especially for the price. I’m almost disappointed I haven’t tried any other hotels in Karlsruhe, because I will never stay anywhere else when in town. AMERICANS PLEASE NOTE: it is not typical for German buildings to have air conditioning, and I believe this hotel is not an exception. You can limit the amount of heat in your room by closing your black out curtains during the day.

Good option for a central Karlsruhe stay
Easy check-in, room was clean. Bathroom a bit old perhaps, but generally good standard. Very central and easy to get to, with a short walk from the central station.

The room was nicely furnished but the odor of urine that permeated the bathroom at night (through the bathroom vent) ruined the stay. We had stayed here in the past and strangely experienced the same thing. You will be disappointed here.

Liked it so much we stayed another night.
Okay so this was definitely incredible value for money. The room was nice and the staff were very helpful. The location was splendid and most places were within a 20minute walk. Breakfast was great too!

Room spacious and clean, staff friendly good location for exploring the old town and access to/from railway station. Minor downsides: pet hate of cushions on the bed (particularly in times of corona) and quite hot - could have done with a fan for the evening. But overall pleasant stay and decent price.

Loved it! Everything was perfect about the room and what I particularly liked was that it was spacious even though it was for one person with a twin bed. Well I did not use it, there was an Internet tablet to use I think. I will definitely stay there again when I return to Karlsruhe.

Es ist super gelegen für einen Kurztrip! Man kann in die Stadt laufen und der Zoologische Stadtgarten ist in der Nähe. Tee und Kaffee kann man sich jederzeit unten holen. Alles super und kann es nur weiterempfehlen.

Das Hotel liegt verkehrsgünstig in der Nähe des Bahnhofs und verfügt über einen gemütlichen Frühstücksraum. Unser Zimmer war im Erdgeschoss, sodass wir ab und an Lärm von der Straße mithören konnten.

Freundliches Personal in akzeptablem Umfeld
Das Hotel ist an sich sauber, aber schon in die Jahre gekommen. Der Wasserdruck des Warm-Wassers war sehr niedrig, sodass man unter der Dusche teilweise mehrere Minuten warten musste, bis warmes Wasser kam. Das Frühstück war okay, aber eher dürftig. Es gab nur Butter, keine Margarine. Die Brötchen schienen kleine Aufbackbrötchen zu sein, wobei einige der Brötchen an beiden Tagen zu lange im Ofen waren, sodass sie beim Schneiden schon teilweise auseinander gefallen sind. Das Personal war freundlich, der Check-in unkompliziert. Für einen kurzen Aufenthalt geht es also. Die Kollegen in anderen Hotels in der Umgebung hatten aber deutlich besseres berichtet.

Man sieht sofort, dass hier billig renoviert wurde - Boden wohl nur auf den alten Boden aufgeklebt. Es war sehr heiss im Zimmer, wir haben dann festgestellt, dass die Minibar sich sehr erhitzt hat - da fehlt wohl ein Abluft-Schlitz. Das Frühstück war ungeniessbar. Alle Backwaren zu wenig durchgebacken, die Eierspeisen allesamt kalt trotz Wärmehalteschale. Joghurt war um halb zehn leer und wurde nicht mehr aufgefüllt. Einzig der Kaffee war geniessbar.

Wir hatten zu zweit ein kleines Zimmer für eine Nacht (Städtetrip). Dafür war es optimal, zu Fuß sind es 5-10 min in die Stadt. Supermarkt und Restaurants gibt es in unmittelbarer Nachbarschaft. Parken kann man öffentlich vor dem Haus, es gibt sogar einige kostenlose Parkplätze. Das Zimmer war klein, aber gut ausgestattet (TV, Kühlschrank, Schrank). Bad und Zimmer sind renoviert und modern. Es war ruhig. Eine Klimaanlage gibt es nicht. Das Frühstück war super, Buffet mit allem was man so braucht und mag. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und kundenorientiert. Einziger potentieller Kritikpunkt ist, dass das Haus selbst (Flur, Treppenhaus) schon älter ist, das hat uns aber nicht gestört.

Aufgrund von Personalmangel wurde uns telefonisch mitgeteilt, dass am 13.8.23 von 14:00-22:00 kein persönlicher Ansprechpartner im Hotel sei. Uns wurde daher ein Code mitgeteilt, um bei Ankunft das Hotel betreten zu können. Leider funktionierte bei unserer Ankunft weder der Code, noch war telefonisch Jemand erreichbar. Anderen Gästen erging es ähnlich… Sehr ärgerlich! Um 22:00 konnten wir dann nach stundenlanger Warterei endlich erfolgreich einchecken. Der Mitarbeiter bot uns als Kompensation unserer Unannehmlichkeiten ein kostenfreies Frühstück an. Damit waren wir einverstanden. Ansonsten war das Hotel sauber, das Frühstücksbüfett in Ordnung und die Hotelmitarbeiter *innen freundlich und hilfsbereit.
