Relaxing getaway
We took a last minute getaway and Gloria was so easy to work with and accommodating. The place was beautiful. It always seems so much more peaceful on the water. Enjoyed some fishing and just being away from the hustle and bustle. Would absolutely recommend staying here.

Beautiful area, great house, wonderful host
Gloria and Glen were awesome hosts who made sure we had everything we needed to make our getaway relaxing and fun. Snacks on the table, beautifully decorated, clean and comfortable home, fully stocked kitchen, fishing poles and everything you need to grill. The atmosphere is great and the surrounding scenery is beautiful. We loved our stay so much we have already booked our next getaway there.

We were pleasently surprised of how everything was identical to the listing on VRBO!! This wonderful location was even better than we expected!! The wildlife was fantastic... and just the peaceful tranquility of sitting by the lake at sunrise, and sunset was so soothing to the soul. Lots of activities to do all week, without even leaving the cabin!! Perfectly located for a day trip to all the beautiful scenic places Tennessee has to offer, and minutes from the Alabama state line! The inside was so perfectly decorated, and clean for a "lake life" environment... as was the entire property. All the people there, we very nice, and hospitable! It was like living in a dream world for a week!! We are already planning on our next visit!! Our 2 dogs, definately loved this adventure too!! Thanks to Gloria, who was a fabulous hostess. Her communication, and presence while there, was wonderful!! This place, as my wife said in the guest book, is like "a slice of heaven", as everything was what we were expecting, and received on our honeymoon vacation!! Looking forward to returning soon!!

Perfect getaway!
My husband and I spent a week here and had the most wonderful, relaxing time. The house was very clean and had really cute "lake life" decor. Gloria left a basket of snacks for us on the kitchen table, as well as bottled water in the refrigerator. Coffee was provided, and the kitchen was fully stocked with plenty of dishes and cookware. The screened in porch was amazing. We brought our cat with us, and he loved the porch, too! We are already looking forward to renting this gem again in the future.

Great mid-week get away
Had a great stay at this property. Screened in porch is awesome. We used the fire pit every night. Easy to launch the kayaks right from the property. There's a Dollar General less than 10 mins from the property if you forget anything or need a resupply. Communication with Gloria is quick and easy. She dropped off some supplies for us when I had a pretty large splinter stuck deep in my foot (I don't recommend going barefoot on the dock). Couple of pro tips - there's tiki torches next to the fire pit, they do add some ambience but the view of the sky is significantly better if you don't light them. We saw many satellites and a shooting star. If you have a dog, walk down to the backside of the dam (less than 10 min walk). There's a running creek there that is more suitable for a dog to play in than the lake. You can kayak the entire perimeter of the lake in probably 30-45 mins and there's some neat sites to see. Enjoy!

Very clean, equipped with extra things you would need. Gloria was very nice and accommodating. We fished, took boat ride, grilled, and really enjoyed the screened in porch with three fans and several comfortable chairs and lounger. We saw over 25 birds species and caught 20 fish.

Amazing weekend!
We had a wonderful time at Clementine Cottage! This little lake house has everything you need for a nice relaxing stay. Clean and comfortable, we just relaxed and enjoyed all the wildlife. With all the herons, egrets, hawks, and lots of geese and ducks, we had quite the show. My husband fished while I read and in the evening the young couple next door came over and we visited around the fire pit. We really enjoyed the friendly neighbors on both sides. Gloria, the owner, could not have been nicer. We just hope we get the chance to return soon! Thank you for the wonderful hospitality!

Beautiful lake setting
The location on the lake is beautiful. The hosts are awesome. We enjoyed canoeing, fishing and pottering around on electric buggy. The kitchen has everything you'll need for a short or long stay. I wish we had stayed for 1 or 2 weeks. So many things to see and do.

Life at the Lake
We loved our visit at Gloria's lake house. This was our second visit! Although the weather hasn't cooperated either time, our visit was lovely. The view of the lake was so restful. My husband loved simply walking down to the lake for some fishing. The peaceful setting was just what we were looking for. And when there was the prospect of tornadoes, Gloria even had a safety plan for us. Thankfully we didn't need it. We highly recommend staying with Gloria. We will be back!

A welcome retreat
Our stay on the lake was perfect from beginning to end. We arrived to a basket of goodies and the kitchen had plenty of seasonings and other cooking necessities already there. The property was beautiful and comfortable. We loved the front porch and the firepit. We built a fire outside most nights and it was beautiful and peaceful. No traffic noise AT ALL. We could hear all kinds of animals singing. One suggestion for the properties owners (who we met and they were so friendly and helpful) is to add a hook or two in the bathroom. There wasn't anywhere to hang a towel. We loved our stay in Kelso.

Such a peaceful place to get away for a long weekend.
We were delighted with the cleanliness of the property. It had everything you could need to cook(pot,pans,even spices. Gloria left us a nice basket of snacks for a welcome gift. The covered porch was fantastic with a beautiful view of the lake. There are these great curtains that you can pull if it is hot or you want extra privacy. The covered patio also had 3 ceiling fans. We have busy Nashville lives and we came back rested and grateful to stay in such a peaceful place. We loved that we were able to bring our dogs. We are a couple with no children so our lives revolve around our dogs. Watching them swim and have fun for 4 days was a blast. Gloria has kayaks,a fire pit with lots of wood. I can't imagine how beautiful it is in the fall. We will be back. I can't say how much I can reiterate how clean the little cain by the lake is.

This charming waterfront cottage is fully equipped with all amenities: a modern, pristine bathroom, efficient air conditioning, cooling fans on the sweeping and well furnished screened-in porch, all much appreciated during a very warm July stay. The cottage is tastefully decorated with every thought given to comfort. The kayaks and paddle boat contributed to hours of enjoyment. Gloria is a gracious, generous, welcoming host. We enjoyed every minute at her lovely cottage!

This was a great place. About 20 minutes from the nearest town. Cell service for us was non existent but there was great wifi so it was fine! Host was very good at communication.

Lovely and Relaxing
Beautiful, well kept and clean property. The cabin is immaculate. It is decorated with taste and the comfort of guests in mind. The kitchen was one of the best stocked of any place we've ever rented. Our favorite part was the large screen room with an abundance of comfortable seating. We ate every meal out there. The view of Lincoln Lake is lovely, and we watched the Sunset from the dock. We hope to return.

Wonderful lake life experience
This comfortable home has everything one needs for a lake life experience. Great chairs for relaxing, wonderful screened in porch facing the lake which was a great bird watching area along with geese and blue herons. Kayaks, a paddle boat and fishing poles available. A beautiful home with everything you need, Gloria is a wonderful host and made us feel comfortable, she also provided us with a large basket of snacks. Our 2 dogs enjoyed the stay too.

Home away from home
We absolutely love it here. It's quaint, cozy and clean! We literally get to do nothing but relax when we stay here and that is exactly why we love it so much! The dock is perfect for fishing the day away! The screened in porch is an added bonus! The owners of this property could not be nicer or more accommodating! Btw, we love all the upgrades from our 1st time here. The floors look great and the new appliances work perfectly! 10/10 our 1st stay and our 2nd stay (this is our 2nd) and can't wait to book our next time here!

My spouse and I both have birthdays in October and decided to treat ourselves with time on the lake. Absolutely perfect choice coming here!! First thing I noticed was the beautiful screened in porch and view! The home was so clean and had everything we needed! Gloria is so sweet! We totally enjoyed our stay and plan on a return visit!

Feels Like Home
My wife and I went during our 33rd yr anniversary week. This was the most relaxing getaway we have ever had. The house and property was clean and organized. Everything we needed was provided. The bonus was meeting the owners, Gloria & Glen, who are super nice. We felt more like neighbors than guests. We definately have added this to our go to again list. We highly recommend this place when you want to take a break from the hustle and bustle of work & life.

Serene Retreat
We loved everything about our weekend getaway at Gloria's lake house. Check in/check out and communication - easy. Anything and everything we needed Gloria thought of already and had available (and then some). We enjoyed the fire pit, kayaks, paddle boat, and screened in porch. Very quiet and friendly community. Our weekend stay was amazing. It is super clean and well stocked. We arrived a little later than we had originally planned so we enjoyed the snacks that were waiting. The screened in porch is the best! Ms. Gloria was amazing and answered us quickly. Highly recommended!

Screened in porch was so relaxing and offered an incredible view of the wildlife on the lake. So many places to lounge and things to do including kayaking, peddle boat, and fire pit. The owner was so generous and brought us more supplies when we ran out! Plus so many snacks and water! We absolutely loved this place and the owners.

We enjoyed this property so much! The cabin was cute, comfy & spotless & there were plenty of toys to play with in the lake. We especially enjoyed the kayaking.
