Great experience! Recommended!
Solo female traveler/nomad here (PL/USA) It had a gear price and was only 3 min drive from the beach with a lot of parking space, so if you rent a car that's a big plus. George, the owner/manager was a superb host, quick to respond to all questions and requests... also great cook! He was always somewhere around the property and when I texted him (WhatsApp) he appeared within few minutes, always polite and in good spirit. I had a nice, clean and comfortable room with the ocean view from my balcony with daily cleaning service. Overall, great experience!

There were some out of control hiccups here and there (AC remote control ran out of battery, insect got in the room) at the start of our stay but they were very responsive to fix them. Full breakfast is highly recommended.

Really nice hotel and better price
The hotel looks brand new and the area is really nice. Moreover, the rooms are really big and the staff are great. It is also really easy to get to either chania or any of the beaches.

We stayed in a standard apartment initially, 2 adults 3 kids. It was a tight squeeze so we asked if they had a larger room and were willing to pay, but they upgraded us for free! Lovely pool which the kids enjoyed everyday, breakfast is served from the bar at the pool and very reasonably priced. Free parking at the unused basketball court adjacent to the property. Kitchen had everything we needed to make an evening meal, though the sockets were on the other side of the room for the electric oven - so we had to move the table! Apartments inside have been refurbed recently, and the bathrooms are nicely tiled as per the pics. Daily housekeeping nice and clean and very friendly too. Beach is a few minute drive down and the bus-stop to Chania centre is right outside the apartments (though we just drove). Oh and the young Albanian lady at the pool-bar was amazing - very helpful and friendly throughout! (The place doesn’t have a proper reception so you just go there if you need anything). Overall we were happy and would stay again.

The T.V. didn' t play.. There were not sesouar for hair. Our reservetion inclouded free drinks but the stuff offered it only the first day.. Althought the location is very good.. Fridge, small kitcen, and other things were included in the room.

Enjoyed our stay
Easy and quick check in and check out. The room was as described. Very nice, spacious and clean. Shower was a good size; a change from other locations we stayed in Greece. And the bed was comfortable too. Beautiful set up in the back area with pool and bar. The staff were friendly and helpful. Would recommend!

Lovely relaxing holiday
My partner and I spent 2 lovely weeks at the hotel Balito. The family who own and run the hotel couldn’t do enough to make sure we were comfortable and happy. The staff were knowledgable, caring, efficient and took pride in everything they did. The breakfast was plentiful, freshly cooked and tasty. The room was comfortable and quite spacious. The cleanliness and maintenance of the rooms, pool and outside areas was exceptional. Finally, We’d just like to say a big thank you to everyone at Hotel Balito. THANK YOU.

Lovely. Quiet, excellent staff, comfortable.
Stayed here for a night with a friend while backpacking and found this property to be a perfect getaway. It's a few miles from the city centre but there were excellent local food choices nearby and the beautiful pool even had a bar. The room itself was clean, comfortable, and modern. We had amazing views of the mountains and the ocean. To top it off, the staff were genuine and friendly. Couldn't ask for more.

Lovely place
Loved staying here. Location of the hotel is brilliant and our room was bright, clean and spacious. Beaches are a 15 min walk down the hill - very blue water! It was a shame the bar wasn't open at all, but understand if that were to do with the end of the season. All in all, we loved every second and didn't want to leave!!

Fantastic Value, Very Comfortable Rooms
The rooms are very big and ample. Also, the price is extremely cheap. You need to walk or drive a little bit to get to the beach though.

We enjoyed our stay at the Balito however would not suit all tastes, especially if prefer tourist areas. We went beginning of October (end of season) & the appts are situated in a more residential area. Approx 15 mins walk to beach/tavernas. 2 local minmarkets less than 5 mins walk away. Family owned/run establishment who were very friendly & lived in the local vicinity.

Very good stay in Balito
We had a perfect relaxing holiday here in Balito hotel and Galatas area! Location is nice and quiet, but there is couple of good restaurants and minimarkets nearby and the beach is about 10 minutes walk away. Hotel has good rooms and pool area and the owner is extremely helpfull and nice! We will definitely return!

Veldig hyggelig leilighetsanlegg med serviceinnstilte medarbeidere som gjorde alt for at vi skulle ha det bra. De var hjelpsomme til å finne svar på våre spørsmål og behjelpelig med alt fra å bestille taxi til manikyr. En kveld i uken ble det arrangert felles grillkveld for alle gjestene med nydelig mat. Vi hadde stort sett bassenget for oss selv på dagtid da de fleste dro på stranden. Anbefales!

Very friendly staff at the restaurant, they helped me with everything that I asked and was extremely kind. The food was also good and breakfast cheap. The rooms were ok but nothing special, clean and perfect for a solo traveller like me who isnt spending a lot of time in the room. The hotel was located up on a hill in Kalamaki therefore I would maybe not recommend it if you dont like to walk or dont have a car. You walk down to the beach, restaurants and bus in 10-20 minutes. To Platanias and Hania it took around 10-15 minutes with taxi that costs 10-15€, but i recommend the local busses that costs 1-3€.

Nous avons adoré la salle de bain ( assez moderne ). Nous avons trouvé qu'il manquait de l'espace surtout pour loger 5 personnes ( 4 adultes et un enfant ). Déçu par la vue et la terrasse. Établissement bien entretenu et propre ( nettoyage tous les jours ). Piscine agréable. Menu du petit déjeuner un peu décevant. Nous n'avons pas pu goûter aux plats proposés le soir car fermé déjà à 20h (??)hôtes agréables .

Fint og dejligt sted til prisen
Meget fint appartmenthotel til prisen. Ok lejlighed og senge, der manglede dog en del køkkenudstyr, men værterne var søde til at hjælpe. Balkonerne var små og aflange hvilket gjorde det svært at sidde sammen og spise fx morgenmad. Skøn og meget ren pool. Bil anbefales .... det ligger lidt afsides og alligevel meget tæt på både Chania by og agia Marina/platanias.

Appartement très confortable, équipement neuf. Seul bémol : le balcon est inutilisable car il donne directement sur les balcons voisins. l'appartement est indiqué "avec vue", et ce n'est pas le cas. La vue est sur les toits. En se mettant sur la pointe des pieds, on peut deviner la mer au loin...

Appartamenti pulitissimi e con una bella piscina,adatta anche ai bimbi piccoli. Indispensabile avere una macchina perchè si trovano fuori dalla città di Chania e lontani dalle spiaggge. Soluizone quindi ideale da sfruttare per la scoperta della parte occidentale di Creta avendo la macchina a disposizione. La struttura mette a disposizione un grandissimo parcheggio gratuito (non custodito).

Appart hotel tres propre, lit refait tous les jours. Kitchenette avec l'essentiel mais succinct (1 poêle, 1 casserole, 1 feux électrique, 1 micro onde). Clim dans piece principale et un ventilo pour la chambre. Par contre la wifi fonctionne tres mal dans la chambre, il faut ztre a la pisxine pour capter. Piscine ideal pour petit et grand. Situé à 1km de la plage en haut d'une côte (2min en voiture) et à 15min en voiture de la Canée centre. A 2min à pied, un resto typique, très bon.

Το ξενοδοχειο ηταν πολυ ανετο, πολυ καθαρο. Το προσωπικο ηταν ευγενικο και η πισινα επισης πεντακαθαρη. Μειναμε παρα πολυ ευχαριστημενοι και το συστηνουμε οικογενειακως σε αλλες οικογενειες!!!!

Dejligt afslappet sted
Afslappet sted med stor imødekommenhed. Gode værelser og altaner. En lille bar hvor god morgenmad kan bestilles og indtages i skøn skygge om morgenen. Og selvfølgelig er øl, sodavand og diverse drinks også tilgængelige 😎 1 km til strandvejen hvor der findes fantastiske spise steder samt strand.

One week family trip
The positives were that all the staff are super friendly and helpful. The property is very clean and the pool area is fabulous. It's a small enough hotel that the pool area is never crowded. The bar by the pool serves food and drinks. The negative being that the double bed (and pillows) were really hard and uncomfortable, resulting in bad sleep and waking up with sore backs. There was no AC in the bedroom and the one in the main room did not reach into the bedroom, thus very hot and uncomfortable at night, even with a fan pointed directly at us (in the bedroom). The beaches down the road are very good but it's a 10-12 minute walk (uphill going home). The restaurants nearby are all very good and the area is not too touristy compared with other villages nearby. If they sorted the bedrooms out (bed and AC) we would definitely return, as everything else was so good.

Cozy apartment in a lovely area
Balitos Apartments is located in a nice, quieter living area only few kilometers away from Chania city centre. Nearest local bus station was only 30 meters away from the hotel, so it was easy to move around with busses. The hotel was really cozy and our room was spacious and clean. The biggest praise still goes to the amazing hotel staff who were both helpful and super friendly.
