My very 1st experience , checking in a Hotel room without window . In edition room charge and add on with requested rooms with window with RM 70 extra per day plus room charge rate RM 158 . We are not here for a cry baby , but at list room are highlighted , therefore as safety too .

I checked in close to 11pm. Chose the hotel as there was a King/Queen bed option instead they gave me a double single. I was pretty annoyed at this time already. The next morning I came to speak to the duty manager about what I booked was not what I got. Told her I'd like to cancel my 2nd night. She said no cancellable. Ends there. I asked her if there is no service recovery. She then offered me a suite, but it was on the 3rd floor facing the side of another building. It was too late and wasn't good enough. Overall, staff are not service oriented. They're not warm and accomodating like many other hotels. Felt like I was talking to a corporate office staff instead of duty manager of a hotel. Rooms views are crappy. Mine faced a condo. Some rooms apparently face the side of another building. The corridors are like a maze. Rooms are on the small side. Otherwise quite standard, clearly not 1 of the better 4 star hotels around

This is my fourth time staycationing in Dorsett Hartamas and I keep coming back because of its reasonably cheap price for a room with a huge bathtub! The bed is super comfy and the location is convenient! It’s near to Publika and right next to Hartamas Shopping Mall so you have a lot of shops and restaurants to choose from (you can dine in or order in via Grab/foodpanda) the staff is always excellent, smooth checking in and out. What I didn’t like though was the smell of the room when I first checked in, perhaps its the carpet that absorbed the cigarette smell. The bathtub was also leaking which made us worry for a bit that the water would flood the room but thank God it didn’t, it flowed straight to the drain next to the toilet. Overall, it was a pleasant stay as always, but there is also room for improvement :)

Can smell cigarette in the room and no free parkin
Booked for 2 nights. Once checked in to the room, we could smell cigarette in the bathroom. Someone was smoking in other rooms and the smell travelled through the ventilation. Dorsett should strictly impose no smoking in the rooms for all guests. We requested to change room. But we were bitten by insects in the night. Not sure if it is bed bugs or mozzies. Other than the view of the 27th floor, i guess we wont be staying at this hotel again. Parking is also not free and cost 3.71rm per entrance.

Nice windowless room with amazing rooftop view
overall the hotel was ok. the exterior and rooftop was amazing. amazing view. insidethe corridor is small, room considerably huge from inside. too bad no windows and thesound proofing was not so good. door was noisy. lift was slow and long. only 2 lift and have to wait a long time serving 28 floors. check in was crazy busy. 4 counters with 4 line queing. must be a favourite destination for the locals.took 30min to check in. nearby is a mall and restaurant. need car to go there else will be troublesome. overall not bad for a city hotel with great view
