Nice hotel...needs some maintenance

Pros: Very friendly staff and close to Gateway.
Cons: General cleanliness of the hotel...
Location: Close to Gateway Shopping Centre
We had a pleasant one night stay in a Junior Suite. The rooms are spacious and decorated nicely. The bed linen and towels were of good quality. However, it needs a really good clean and some maintenance....there was no aircon remote in the lounge and we were unable to turn it off. The balconies are grotty and need to be scrubbed. No glasses in our room and generally just little things that are relatively quick to fix and should be. The breakfast was okay...

Good location

2nd time stayed here mainly location as close to airport & opposite main Gateway shopping centre. Hotel is sleepy & a venture out is needed unless u like to be alone. Hotel staff accommodation but fairly slow. Still, good price & free wifi which is always nice for an overseas traveller. Rooms are large but bedroom open plan with bathroom, not ideal & furnishings could do with an update, nevertheless, a strong 3* from me.

Recommend hotel - close to all amenities

Pros: Excellent suite with 1 double room and 1 twin room, perfect for families. Quality bed linnens/carpets etc.
Cons: Better Wifi connection More food available at weekend breakfast buffet. Room had kitchen facilites but no equpmen
Location: Excellent for beach, restaurants and shopping, short drive to Durban

Good Hotel for the area

Pros: Helpful staff
Cons: Hotel menu needs to expand
Location: Ideal if doing business in this area but most people would stay closer to town.
I had to stay in this area due to business, I found the area was full of things to do and see but not easy to get into Durban. The hotel was clean and comfortable with excellent help from the staff. I found the rooms a little old fashioned.

Great location, very spacious rooms, friendly staff, but feels a bit run down, rooms need new carpets, needs some upkeep to maintain quality

Well I had a very good time out and was lucky to have been upgraded into a Junior Suite as my room was not ready yet.'' This is what I call customer care '' but the only hic is you dont have a Gym!!!! Anyway my stay was fantastic Thank you I like like like

Family Easter vacation

Good location in the Gateway mall. Big sized rooms. Free 'capped' Wifi. The frontline staff were excellent and the breakfast was enjoyed by the whole family. Kudos to the Chef and the crew. The management should consider an 'in house' business centre.
