We stayed at the Guest House Yamato for 7 nights, too long. For 2-3 nights it would be fine for someone there to just visit a couple sights. We had the room for three adults, three twin beds. The beds were hard and the pillows were very uncomfortable, we each had one oversize bean bag type pillow. Because there are just 4 guest rooms sharing the two bathrooms and showers was not an issue. However if you enjoy the simple comforts most hotels provide; TV, closet/dresser, private bath, desk or table with a couple comfortable chairs you will miss these at the guest house. Furniture is limited, we shared one closet with shelves, no dressers. The bed cover was not clean and the little bit of furniture there was was dusty. Our room was "cleaned" twice during our visit, the pillow cases were changed and trash emptied. The hosts are pleasant and offer a nice western or Japanese style breakfast for $6.50 (you need to let them know the night before). There is an 11:00 PM curfew. Their English is limited which was challenging at times. No laundry is provided, we were directed to a coin laundry about 3/4 miles walk from the guest house. The location is convienent to visiting a couple of the popular tourist sights.
