They are renovating the second floor but ours was fine.
I and the room was super clean. The bathroom was super clean and the pool area was very welcoming. Breakfast was OK especially Monday was off. The hook will stay here again.
The walls and fixtures were poorly maintained the walls and doors were dirty and horizontal surfaces were dusty. The bedding appeared clean and was comfortable. Staff was polite and helpful.
The Hampton Inn in La Junta, CO was a good place to stay for the night. None really special about the facility. Just a nice place to stay and a good continental breakfast.
The employee at the front desk at check in named Lacee was absolutely outstanding! A few minutes after check in there was a tornado warning and she single handedly called and notified all of the guests that they needed to go to the laundry room to safety. She even provided crayons and a coloring book for a little girl who was scared about the tornado.
We have never stayed at a Hampton Inn before and since we had to pay $212 for one night we were surprised when we could hear the guests in the next room to us talking to each other, coughing, their tv, etc. and that it looked like mold on the bottom corner of the shower curtain.
There was only one person at the front desk when we checked, and checking in took a while. That person was very busy and not wasting any time at all. I felt sorry the person. With the cost of the room, it seems like the Hampton Inn could have afforded to hire an adequate number of staff.
Room was nice, except we the curtains were hard to close and we had one of the outside lights right by our window and it was hard to sleep cause is was so bright
Everything was super clean. The room was in good condition, the heating/air conditioning worked well, the shower was hot and the bed was comfortable. The towels were a little small and flimsy, but overall, I'd go back.
