The property was beautiful. The views of the lake from our room’s balcony as well as from the terrace can’t be beat. It is a short walk to the lake, restaurants or the path that goes around the lake

What a beautiful hotel, you feel like royalty upon entering. Extremely helpful and friendly staff, and we loved the extra amenities that came with the hotel (private dock, sauna room, breakfast). I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Lake Bled.

Hotel staff a real mixed bag. Service bordered on laughable at times. Felt like the old Yugoslavia. Perhaps that was the point? But a fantastic hotel overall.

Wonderful service and ideal location!
This hotel is amazing! The service was outstanding and the location is ideal. It has a lovely view of Lake Bled as well as a private boat dock for those staying at the property. The staff is wonderful too. I highly recommend this location.

Outstanding hotel with amazing views of Lake Bled. Cafe Belvedere has the view that you see on postcards! Hotel also provides free rowboats for time on the lake. Lots of free parking and beautiful hotel grounds.

Hotel Vila Bled is a fantastic hotel with breathtaking vistas. It is located a short walk to town. The staff are exceptionally helpful, friendly and professional. Would highly recommend this hotel.

This is a beautiful and classy villa right in front of the lake, has beautiful old structure and landscape. Room is old but very clean and comfortable.

We had a big suite with stunning views of the Bled Island. We could see the view through our bathroom as well. We also had a big deck to ourselves. We did feel like living at an old vila. However, the deco was very simple and the furniture was very traditional as well. The breakfast area was very popular for photography.

Perfect location, great hotel to stay at. Make sure you have a good lake view from the room, we could only just see the lake from one window. Breakfast fantastic, staff fantastic.

We loved this elegant and quiet property. It oozes 50s and 60's Euro opulence with the rich marble, period lighting, and deep pile red carpets. Who could have stayed here back then except either the terrifyingly powerful or royal? Our corner room could not have had a more special or beautiful view of the lake, island, and church. With windows wide open all night we felt so lucky. To accidentally have found this gem was fortunate and we would stay here again no question. The staff are beyond professional. Impeccably groomed dressed and have fantastic English language skills. Right down to the wait staff in the restaurant. Very impressive. We stayed here during absolutely perfect late spring weather. I could imagine, though, that during a heat wave it may be uncomfortable in the rooms due to no HVAC so I recommend cool weather travel if you have a preference like we do.

Excellent location on the lake. Check in and check out were fine. Room 307 with balcony facing lake and island. Great view. Breakfast buffet was good and you can order an omelette or fried eggs - scrambled are available with the buffet. We did order the Bled cream pastry one afternoon which was delicious. They do offer a free one hour row boat rental. We used that to row to the island. One con was a smell from the bathroom which we alerted the front desk to on our first morning there. They added deodorizer which masked the smell but did not fix the problem. Slept both nights with the balcony door open for fresh air. Overall a good stay but would have to think twice if we were to stay again.

What a beautiful place to spend days by lake bled! Great location wonderful and kind staff who on checking in early allowed us to use Jacuzzi and Sauna until our room was ready. We stayed in #320 (Titos personal suite with some of his masterpieces displayed in the suite) Great location which gives you views of lake bled from different angles. Nice breakfast. Don’t forget to visit Cafe Belvedere just a few steps away from the villa. Overall one of the best stays we have had so far.

Great location, excellent hardware. After all it used to be Tito's summer house. However I personally think the hotel is lack of atmosphere, too empty and not enough staff/guest? Shall we blame COVID?

False advertising-not pet friendly. No mgmt help.
We were turned away at after 1030 PM, even though I had already paid for two nights, when we arrived because our small dog was not allowed. Hotel was advertised as pet friendly on multiple sites, including the one I booked the hotel through. But hotel stated dogs have not been allowed since January. Management refused to accommodate us, instead we had to find new accommodations late at night. Nor did management speak to us or offer apology. Front desk staff were apologetic and tried to get exception over the phone from management. Still have not received refund.

Vila Bled is in the most beautiful location, and the service is impeccable. The rooms (we had a suite) are very spacious and well equipped, although not the most comfortable bed or sofa for a hotel of this quality. Interesting history to the hotel. It is more expensive around Bled than other areas of Slovenia, including drinks etc in the hotel, but the location and service are so excellent that for a few days we did not mind. Excellent breakfast, free use of a rowing boat on the lake and private swimming area with excellent sun beds, lots of places to sit in the lovely grounds. Service throughout attentive and helpful.

Loved this hotel! This was stunning and felt like a dream come true- the entire time we were at Lake Bled, we felt like we were living a fairy tale. From the beautiful/stunning drive up to the hotel front to the hotel itself and the restaurant, every minute of our stay we were impressed and amazed at how beautiful this hotel was. The room was incredibly comfortable and the balcony was a great bonus. Having access to take a boat to the church was also very nice. The breakfast is plentiful and delicious- nothing beats that beautiful view of the lake that you get while eating your meal. Would definitely return in a heart beat.

A historical hotel, friendly staff that will go out of their way to make our stay pleasurable. Their food was great too. I love this place!! FYI, this used to be Tito’s villa. He was the leader of Yugoslavia.

Good but...
Super clean, friendly staff, great meal and excellent service. It’s a bit away from center or crowd, but it’s in walking distance as Bled is not that big. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars because of price. It’s an absolute low season, but room price didn’t say so. With this price, there are many other options.

The hotel is historic but needs to be updated. The furniture was shabby. Blow dryer in bathroom was non functioning, reported three times, never fixed or replaced. The restaurant was wonderful, food delicious, however, the staff had a habit of disappearing leaving patrons calling out for service. The grounds and free boat were enjoyed. The views are amazing.

We chose this hotel for our best friends wedding and they were also staying here with all their family. It is the most beautiful hotel as you are driving up and in a fantastic position. The rooms were absolutely huge and some of the staff were great in attending to our needs. But that’s pretty much where it ends. The spa was not working fully as they were apparently missing parts the private jetty that comes with the hotel was only open for 2 of our 7 day trip due to ‘bad weather’ the weather was bad for 2 days the other days it may have been cloudy but it certainly was not cold and we would have happily loved to of sat on the jetty with a cup of coffee but instead we had to find somewhere else inside to sit or otherwise go to our friends hotel which had facilities that could be used (which was also a cheaper hotel). Because of this the hotel felt like a ghost town. . On our last night we went to the room off the reception which we assume was a bar area but there was a sign on the bar saying it is not manned by a staff member between spring and summer periods! This happens to be a very busy time so I’m shocked they can’t be bothered to staff this area. But once we went in there and put the music channel on the tv and ordered a few drinks from reception we noticed a few more people came in and joined us. However it must be the said the guy who came out and tended to us from reception was brilliant and he was very polite. All in all it’s beautiful but price is questionable.
