A very nice hotel for a weekend breakPosted Apr 14, 2015
Pros: The very pleasant staff, from the room maid to the head waiter, all looked happy in their jobs. The calm atmosphere and restful seating areas.
Location: A restful location with only a little noise from aircraft given its close location from the airport. Not a lot of things to do near by
We had a very pleasant stay, the check in and out was swift and efficient, food was excellent, the service, both in the restaurant and the bar, was delivered with a smile.. The only small criticism was that the hotel corridors appeared to endless, maybe a map in a prominent place?

Staff go 'extra mile'Posted Feb 17, 2015
Arriving late at east midlands airport, we picked up the car and proceeded to the hotel. The sat nav took us to a road that had been closed for the evening. After 2 hours of trying to find another route, i rang the hotel to tell them i couldnt find a way. The male receptionist kindly drove to find us, then showed us the alternative route that was miles away. Only managed a quick shower and 6 hrs sleep but would stay again

Hotel in midst of refurbishmentPosted Jan 26, 2015
Pros: The swimming pool.
Cons: The food.
Location: I did not have time to venture out.
The hotel is in the middle of refurbishment which looks quite exciting however it does mean facilities are slightly out of the norm. Reception is quite a treck to find and the ground floor is closed off to make way for a new restaurant. The room was fine and had everything you need with an array of toiletries. The swimming pool and steam room were a great selling point for me and will encourage me to come back. The restaurant seems to be in a temporary location and was not a great selection or the best quality of food however I look forward to the new concept restaurant opening soon.

good stay but lots of minor failingsPosted Jan 1, 2015 on Hotels.com
I booked a twin bed accessible room for me and my mom so she could visit family over Christmas. Welcome and booking in was excellent. Room clean and good standard. Tv not great as it was a smart tv which seemed to have a faulty remote. This resulted in periods where we could not watch tv as it was stuck in smart mode. Breakfast arrived late one morning and not all good options were available. Walls thin as could hear next door clearly. Wireless voucher only lasts one day which they failed to tell you at reception, so I was without internet one evening. The last night snow fell and the car park had not been gritted so my automatic needed help to get off car park, which is on incline.

Friendly hotel handy stop off on the M1Posted Dec 28, 2014 on Hotels.com
Very quiet even though it was busy with people on a christmas break. Good cooked breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. We used it as a stop over going from the north to the south west. A good find.

overpriced foodPosted Nov 16, 2014 on Hotels.com
one night stay on business. the room was too warm and very small. The restaurant was overpriced and average quality. Bar is small but with a larger sitting area to relax next door. Nothing special. tidy clean rooms.

Enjoyable stayPosted Oct 21, 2014 on Hotels.com
Hotel was much better than I was expecting. Room was very nice and clean. Was there for a wedding which was very nice. Breakfast was good, dining room could perhaps do with a bit of modernisation. Didn't get time to use the spa facilities unfortunately.
